Clothing Optional Property LGBTQ+ & BIPOC FRIENDLY Be advised! The bridge located on Berney Station Road over Dry Creek (just West of the turn onto Germany Mountain Rd) is going to be replaced. This section of the roadway will be closed beginning March 3rd and will be closed for approximately one year. Route your arrival from the East on Berney Station road.

Glamp, RV or camp amidst the natural beauty of our 268 acre property; we have open fields, shady spots beneath the hardwoods and pines, and even a five acre pond with plenty of fish if you’d prefer to wake up to a water view or take a morning swim. With miles of trails on our property, easy access to the 392,000 acre Talladega National Forest, and less than ten miles from the Pinhoti trail, you’ll never run out of beautiful places to explore. Be sure to save some time to enjoy the boulder strewn creek just a short walk from our welcome center - it’s a must see! Other local attractions are also within reach with the Top Trails ATV park and the Talladega Marksmanship Park only seven miles away.

Dark Hollow Park provides beautiful, private, and secure primative campsites. Potable water and a composting privey are available. The camp host is on site if there are any questions. There is a one-mile hiking trail, a small stream and waterfalls located a short hike down into Dark Hollow. The Hollow is rich in history. There is a small Amphitheater in the bottom of the hollow where permanent water remains year-round. Dark Hollow has played many roles from sanctuary to battleground over the years. There are numerous activities within a short distance.

Convenient stop for the night or a few days for RV’s or Tent campers and a good place to get a hot shower - only a easy mile a half from I-20 exit 173 ( Eastaboga - Talladega Superspeedway Exit ) also a good base camp to see Cheaha State Park - bike at Coldwater Mountain- see the Talladega Superspeedway , Combat Park Flea Market , Oxford ballgames or other area Activities - I reserve one RV site and two tent sites for hipcamp and rent the other five RV sites at the top of hill on a monthly basis - these hipcamp sites are wooded, shady with woods between the other sites to give some privacy while still not far from the unique showers made from the old chicken house feed bins -these showers are very functional and I have been complimented that they are the best showers on the east coast

One of our favorite places to camp in Talledega National Forest! Nice, shady spots along a clear, cool stream with easy access to hiking trails. Not a lot of privacy between campsites, but it hasn't been an issue for us when we've camped in early Spring because the campground hasn't been full. It's a bit of a drive on Forest Service roads to get there, but the views are nice and it makes for a relatively quiet campground.

So the good with this campground also lends itself to the bad. There is a lot of space in each of the camping sites but this openness and flatness lends itself to people hauling in everything and the kitchen sink to set up "camp". We had everything from radios, clanking horse shoes for hours on end, babies, chainsaws, and dogs making all kinds of racket. It's an absolutely beautiful spot with tons of great canopy but little to no cover in between all of the sites. Outside of a holiday weekend I imagine it would be quite peaceful. It's adjacent to the pinhoti trail so hiking is abundant!

First time at Pine Glen and we loved it! Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and tent pad. Rustic, primitive site but there is a "vault" potty area if you choose to use it. We camped during the week and there were plenty of sites to choose from. It could be busy on weekends and holidays. Very long drive to get to the site but worth it! Very beautiful area! There are bears in the area so prepare for that, bring your own wood, and bring your own water. They have water pumps at the site but they no longer work. Cell phone reception is hit or miss and there is a ton of wildlife in the area. We'll be back!
