Zoar Valley Forest Retreat

🌿 Private forested land against the ledge of Zoar Valley. Large, spacious campsite areas, good for groups. A rare location that is secluded and quiet, away from people and traffic. For those that want to feel isolated and immersed in nature and the forest. Includes seven acres to primitive camp on, or bring an RV/camper in (10ft clearance at gate). Each site has a picnic table, and brick fire pit. Pergola party shelter and brick oven located at Site 2. 🔒Locked gate at each site entrance from road for privacy and security. Site 1 is closer to the road, Site 2 is deeper in the woods, with adequate privacy and space between the two sites. ♻️ Take out what you take in, leave no trace. 🌙 Porta potty toilet on site maintained regularly, shared between sites May-October 🌳The campsite borders state forest to hike freely, and is about 1000ft until the top edge of the valley with beautiful vantage points of the valley. Drive down the road a few miles to the Forty Road trail head that leads to the creek down in Zoar Valley. Dogs welcome, and can be off-leash!

At your site you will have access to water connection and 20/30 Amps service. Each site will have a picnic table and a fire ring. Outdoor communal kitchen, just steps away from your accommodation. Equipped with a Weber propane grill, Blackstone griddle, fridge/freezer, hotplate, drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster, waffle maker, and a range of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, it's the perfect space for preparing meals. Our bathhouse is located within a short walking distance of your site. There are hot showers, a changing area, and flush toilets.

Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. We are just getting started in the camping space, but for now, we're accepting bookings and looking forward to hosting you, at the mission. See the provided map for site locations. Every year we host a Tree fundraiser called "May We Begin" where we replant as many trees with tree shields as we can raise funds for. Learn more about this land: The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Secluded Camping on the Canal

Secluded and private but just outside of Brockport with nearby activities, grocery stores, etc. This is a primitive property ideal for campers who want to cut their own fire wood, build their own fire rings, and explore nature.

BST Acres (1855 N Union St)

L-shaped 17 acre property with no real neighbors! House is at the bend of the "L" with most of the zoo 😊 The property feels like a secluded country spot, but isless than 5 minutes from the erie canal, highway access, cute Village shops and restaurants, and even a few breweries! Downtown Rochester is about a 20 min drive. Sites are 800+ft back from the road with nature blocking it, so low sound and light pollution. Great stargazing! Come roam, pick a spot, and hang out with the critters if that's your thing! The property is partially wooded with a majority of rolling lawn with mature trees, a few little trails and a meadow surrounded by woods. There is an event venue/caterer that tucks up to the property, and whose gorgeous gazebo and small pond with fountain add to the ambiance (along with the peeper frogs at night in season). You may even catch some music from weddings on the weekend! But please no trespassing! Property line is marked. This is open land camping- no-bathrooms (yet), electric, or shower- but you can use the hose to your heart's content. I have (one) composting toilet setup with its privacy pop tent that can be picked up on arrival. You'll be driving over lawn with gently rolling hills, so if it's been rainy-you may hit muddy spots/get stuck-plan accordingly! I'm working on adding a road along the property line for that, but it's only about 1/3 complete right now (see pic). Flat area best for RVs is over lawn, but if too soggy I have room along the driveway so you'll still have a secure spot. Highland "coos" Katie and Jersey will happily take food bribes! The rest of the critters are in their respective "yards" wrapping around the back of the house (central). The southernmost pen has assorted birds including a pair of peacocks, turkeys, and the emus-who are goofy but mischievous-so best viewed from the outside. They'll often come to the fence to investigate, and that's your opportunity for pets. Mostly you'll probably laugh at their antics as they frolic along with their goose and chicken buddies. Next to that is the main backyard of the house where my dogs are. One is a livestock guardian breed so she can be barky if she sees you, but no bite! Feel free to bring your on leash furry friends or set up a temporary run for them.

Wood Spring is a private members only rustic camping club. Hipcampers have access to all 52 acres including our pond, meadow, Little Buffalo Creek, and our hiking trails. You’ll get a gate combination after confirming your stay. Enter through the gate on our one lane road, cross the shallow creek and end at our large open meadow. If the creek is ever too high to cross, park in the grassy area and walk across foot bridge. GPS coordinates will be shared of your site. Enter those in your map software. Learn more about this land: This property is in Orchard Park. It is two acres, surrounded by trees and a fence on three sides, which provides good privacy. There is a large parking area with 15a electrical available for small campers or small trailers. Also a hose is available to fill water. Alternatively, I have two great tent spaces at the back of the property with a private areas to set up tents. There is a (shared) campfire stonepit at the back of the property. Split firewood is available for $5.00 per armload. Campers can take this from the firewood pile. Chestnut Ridge park is a 7 minute drive. It has great trails, including the Eternal Flame Hike, and a large fishing pond. Green lake is also nearby with fishing and a good place for paddle boarding or kayaking. The property is .5 mi from Bills Stadium. Lake Erie and its beaches are a 15 minute drive. Niagara Falls is 30 min. Downtown Buffalo is 20 min. There are walkable restaurants nearby (about .5 to 1 mi). An indoor restroom is available at specific hours (typically 4pm-8:30 am) or if arranged in advance outside those hours. No shower is available.
