Angell Creek Campground

Angell Creek Campground is located in beautiful Island Park Idaho. It has been in our family for over 50 years. We are surrounded by pine trees, and it is a quiet place to escape the noise of the world. It is a place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. Our campsite is close to West Yellowstone and only 30 mi. from Yellowstone National Park. Island Park has a lot to offer including: boating, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, trail riding and much more. All of these activities are within a few minutes away. We are in close proximity to highway 20 and easy access to services and dining. We have a very large parking area where you can park trailers and vehicles. We have about 3 acres and have 5 RV spots. We have a central sheltered picnic area and a big fire pit on each RV spot. Each pad is rented at $40 a night with provided 50 and 20 amp service with an adapter provided for 30 amp service. No water or sewer is provided. There is a porta potty on location from mid May until end of October. Must pack out all of your trash or be a accessed a cleaning fee per lot. Although wanting to keep this campground in a primitive state, we will be adding a few updates in coming years. Pets allowed on a leash only.

While we have not had any problems with wildlife. We ask that campers store food properly to avoid any issues. Yellowstone does not have a fence around it. Animals wander all through the area.

With the mature Willows and Rocky vegetation is all left for us to enjoy You could see roaming moose hanging around! and plenty of deer. Be cautious, Be aware! We are secluded and surrounded with mature willows trees and we expect the yearly spring water run off from Teton reek You are five blocks from 5th street bus stop for transportation to Grand Targhee Ski Resort the famous snow pack 500 inches of powder! this property is off 1st street from Ski Hill road and the most unique quiet location for being so close to the center of Driggs. We are walking distance to grocery store, post office, City building information and many restaurants to choose from. 90 miles to Yellowstone NP, and one hour from Jackson WY. You can call this your base camp for many adventures, hiking, fishing, down hill skiing and much more seasonal activities at a year around location. It is around 100 miles to two different entrances to Yellowstone National Park, making it possible to do a long day trip loop. There is plenty of mountain biking, hiking, and rivers to explore. Grand Targhee and Teton Village are each about 20 miles and both have lots of fun summer activities. Jackson Hole is 25 miles away.

While we were camping we randomly got a sudden and short lived hail storm when only moments before we were in tank tops. It was August and the weather can fluctuate quickly so being prepared for all types of weather is a good idea. Beautiful site with such great campers all around us. Friendly and helpful staff and be sure and have some bear spray, just in case.

We loved our time at Lizard Creek CG. The host was incredibly friendly and helped answer the questions we had about the park. The camp was quiet, although we could see our neighbors, plus the path to their site went right by our picnic table; not a huge deal, we considered it an opportunity to meet some new people! We had direct access to Jackson Lake and it was awesome!
