Weekend Trip to Buffalo River Glamping

Our stay was wonderful! The weather was rainy but it made for such a peaceful, cool weekend stay. We stayed dry and the accommodations might have spoiled us as tent campers. Katherine has definitely thought of all the details and we couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. From the stocked coffee bar, provided *dry* firewood, and the super clean and private bathhouses, we were extremely pleased!!!

Weekend Trip to Happy Hippy Acres Wooded Wonderland

Booked this last minute due to some crazy storms and wanted a bit of refuge and it was perfect! The camper was air tight through the craziest rainstorm and we could even have the windows open. The property was clean and well stocked and our pups loved exploring the trails and area.

It's so hard to find simple little places like this. I know that glamping is popular, but I prefer the cabin equivalent to dry camping for myself. y dogs and I had a great time, and the greenhouse roof on one side made the thunderstorms enjoyable; being able to see the clouds, rain, and lighting while laying back. The little deck looks out over the river. Perfect for fresh ground coffee and breakfast like we did. Not quite enough covering to sit on the bench and enjoy the rain without getting wet, though. There's also a little path from the cabin to the river if you want to swim, take a kayak, or just sit in the water to be lazy. This one of the two cabins is tucked away in the trees between the river and a circular open space for tents or outdoor games, so you have total privacy but room to play. All in all, I would definitely book this again and bring my group with me.

Absolutely loved staying at Bentonville Bike Camp! Terrific hosts, location and view. Close to the bike trails. The hosts even had coffee and doughnuts on Memorial Day weekend. If you're in the area definitely a wonderful place to stay. We'll be back for sure!!

Really unique property with 3 camping spots spaced far apart along the river. There are also large fields with freshly mowed paths and a creek with different branches and swimming holes. We were the only campers and enjoyed being able to let our dogs run free. We stayed at Site 1, and there was (just!) enough room for two adult cots and a double bed sized futon mattress. Site is equipped with a picnic table, kayak, life jacket, nice fire pit, and grill. Great views of the stars! We wish we had packed a screen tent to put around the picnic table bc the flies were bad (as they could have been anywhere else in AR at this time of year). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

1 night at End of the Trail

I didn't have many camping so far, but this one was the best by far! And I don't think any other camp site could beat it at least for a long time. They had everything ready for you to enjoy, and you had an easy job to do it! They even had something for repelling the bugs from your tent. I really enjoyed my staying and definitely plan to come back but either by a bigger car or after some no rain days as my Honda accord got stuck before reaching the camp! They were so kind in helping me get out of that situation which I really appreciated.

The cabin has a lot of character and neat decor. It was really nice to have 1.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer! The back patio is nice and large, which was great since it rained a bit each day we stayed. My family and I spent the majority of our days out there. When we weren’t relaxing on the patio, we went on adventures all over the beautiful and well maintained property. There is a nice pavilion, a pond, and plenty of trails to explore. Thank you Miranda for a lovely weekend getaway!!!

I enjoyed the stay very much. There was total privacy and the treehouse overlooked a lazy river. My only comment is you have to drive through a creek. After rain I don't think a regular car to could make it. It was dry when I crossed with a Camry, but it took a couple tries. But, I would never let that stop me from visiting again. It is beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Buffalo River Glamping

Katherine was very attentive and accommodating. My original tent was damaged a few days prior to my arrival from a storm. When she called she already had alternative options for my stay. She provided me with a neighbors cabin down the road, which was a perfect wilderness bungalow. We arrived at 4 am in the morning and she meet us at the site to welcome us and provide the keys. Other friends stayed in her tents which were immaculately clean, and plenty of firewood. Would definitely recommend!

What a fantastic hidden oasis!💗 The nature here is beautiful. The sounds of the rushing river lull you to sleep so peacefully. It feels very private, and came equipped with a grill, firewood, canoe. The price was fantastic and made her really perfect last minute getaway for this single mama with her teenagers and pup. The owner, Wentz came by to visit us and was so friendly and accommodating. He offered to bring by some fishing gear if we needed it. It was cool to hear the story about his vision for people to enjoy this incredible space in nature. Portable toilet was exceptionally clean. Next time I might bring an air mattress or cots but other than that, it had everything that we needed. We will definitely return there again and look forward to our next visit with Wentz!🙂

Every turn reveals a new wonder; a hidden waterfall an unnoticed cave or bluff or a moss-covered boulder. Most of our campsites are just yards away from a public swimming area, which is shared between our property and the Arkansas Natural Area. We have a private swimming area on our property which is just a short hike from the developed campsites (Please ask the camphost for directions). There are miles of county maintained bumpy dirt roads leading to the site. Expect your vehicle to get dusty. There is a creek crossing that is required to reach the campsites. We recommend high clearance and/or 4WD or AWD vehicles. If you are unable to cross the creek, you will need to park in the parking area and walk across the creek to reach your site.

On site you can find swimming, paddling, fishing, hiking, a 6-acre foraging field, and 9-hole Frisbee golf course, a Ninja rope course with zipline and slackline, rope swing, bouldering, climbing, psicobloc and more outdoor pursuits than one has time. And Woolly Hollow State Park, Cove Creek Natural Heritage Area, and Greer's Ferry Lake all lie within biking distance. New to camping? Need a flush toilet, kitchen sink and faucet? Hate bugs, thorns or wild critters? Steep rough roads? Dust and gravel? Or simply don't like being outside in the weather and in a primitive setting? Then this is NOT the place for you!! NO! NO! NO! But if you want to sneak away and find a lovely little place to unwind and bathe in a forest under a tall canopy of standing pines and oak trees, then Pinnacle Springs is where you need to be. Pinnacle Springs offers stream side camping on the banks of the North Fork of Cadron Creek -- central Arkansas' premier whitewater stream -- and is less than an hour's drive from Little Rock (only 15 minutes from Conway and I-40). Camp by the side of a river. Camp at the foot or atop a towering bluff. Camp in a cave. Camp in a riparian jungle. Camp in total solitude or camp with all your friends and family. We offer so many choices one can select a site that perfectly fits your needs. And if you want total seclusion -- a real "wilderness experience" and are willing to "hike-in" a couple of hundred paces we can provide that too. FYI: If you are unaccustomed to STEEP dirt roads do NOT reserve a site on the island -- sites atop the ridge in Camp Toasty are much easier to access. No traffic noise here! Rather, you'll be soothed by the sound of cascading water echoing off the bluffs -- great for outdoor sleeping and keeping the air fresh and alive. Many of the camp sites are equipped with a heavy picnic table, fire pit and grill, lamp post and level tent site. And if you like to swing -- we have trees! Hammocks and slack lines are the best no trace tree things ever! And although Pinnacle Springs Campground lies in an off-the-grid wilderness setting there is good cell phone service, a water hydrant can be found near the front gate behind the store, and electrical outlets for recharging phones and such can be found on the ridge at nearby Camp Toasty. And from March through November hot water showers are even freely available. Guests are encouraged to explore any of the trails that crisscross the property especially if you like waterfalls, scenic views, cascading streams, and goat trail bluffs. The Tanner Pool Trail is especially popular after a heavy rain, Bluff Trail offers a nice perch for viewing the river below, and the 1+ mile "Circuit Trail" is a great way to start one's day. Our place is a bit rough, rugged and unruly yet we call it home -- a place where everyone regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, national origin, or culture is welcomed to come enjoy nature's marvelous works and wonders. We love everyone!! So we invite you to come down to the Cadron and sit a spell. Unwind. Kick back. And enjoy! CELL PHONE COVERAGE: While we recommend that you leave your cell phones at home or packed away we also understand the importance of "staying in touch". Overall cell phone coverage throughout the watershed is pretty good BUT there are a few deep bluff-lined valleys on the creek where one may lose a signal from time to time -- either walk around the bend or to higher ground and you'll usually find a signal. Nevertheless our evaluation: VERIZON - Seemingly good signal everywhere. AT&T -- Good in campground but a couple of "weak spots" both upstream and downstream (taller bluffs). T-MOBILE - Good signal atop the ridge but close to nothing on the creek, USCellular - The worst. Those camping close to store are invited to connect to our local area wifi signal -- CadronBoy. BTW#1: We don't take kindly to folks trashing our property. We are a "LEAVE NO TRACE FACILITY" thus if you bring it, you take it! Best to also leave axes, shovels and hammer and nails at home. Thanks. BTW#2: This is DIY camping! If you are one of those people that has a "hard time figuring it out on your own" we strongly encourage you to stay elsewhere. There are a lot of nice campgrounds in Arkansas that are more accessible, better staffed, and have some really nice amenities.

South Maumee and Spring Creek access points are less than 10 miles away, and Dillard's Ferry is less than 14 miles. For hiking, the Buffalo River Trail passes right over South Maumee Rd, and leads to several seasonal waterfalls! Fishing is allowed on site, and in the Buffalo River with an Arkansas fishing license. The towns of Marshall and Leslie are close by with good restaurant options such as: Skylark Cafe, and the Red River Cafe. Blanchard Springs Caverns is a must-see, and at 30 miles in distance makes a great option for a day trip.

Located in beautiful Montgomery County, Arkansas; Montgomery County was formed on December 9, 1842, and named for Gen. Richard Montgomery, a hero of the American Revolution. Sixty-three percent of the county is national forest land. We are a short scenic 12 mile drive from Little Missouri Falls, Bard Springs, and Albert Pike with area hiking trails, cascading waterfalls, and beautiful backroads. We are within 10 miles of the Caddo River and local canoe rental. Glenwood is 20 minutes away with gas stations, restaurants, and flea markets. Wegner Crystal Mine is located in Mt Ida, approx 40 minutes from our park. We are within a hour drive of Hot Springs; Bathhouse Row, Garvin Woodland Gardens, Mountain Tower, Crystal Ridge Distillery, Magic Springs, various tourist activities, restaurants and shopping. Mena is located within an hour drive of our park; Blue Zipline, restaurants, shopping.
