Great campsite. Khamoors land was very unique and clean. Perfect place for anyone who wants in the need to get away to the mountains. Clean restrooms and showers. Amazing outdoor community kitchen and dishwashing station, with two fridges to keep food cold. I will definitely be back, highly recommended.

Such a special spot - highly recommend staying here! Thomas is a very interesting person and generously shared his knowledge. The Hole in the Wall is pretty magical and the site itself was also beautiful - loved the raised platform under the trees - ample shade and a nice spot to do some yoga and stretching! It was busy over the weekend but so quiet and tranquil during the week. Dont be like me - read the instructions carefully before you arrive! I got lost for over an hour - follow the instructions to the Hole in the Wall (GPS coordinates got me extremely lost). Cheers and enjoy!

The Hideaway at the Hole in the Wall is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t your average camping spot. Nestled deep in a forested paradise, the location is incredibly picturesque—towering trees, peaceful surroundings, and an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. But what really took the experience to the next level was the host, Thomas. He absolutely exceeded all expectations. Friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, Thomas made us feel right at home while also giving us the space to soak in the serenity of the place. It’s rare to find someone who cares this much about ensuring their guests have a memorable experience. And then there’s the swimming hole—wow. Crystal-clear water, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of the forest, it felt like something straight out of a movie. It was the perfect spot to cool off, relax, and connect with nature. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with unbeatable scenery and a host who goes above and beyond, The Hideaway at the Hole in the Wall is it. Can’t recommend it enough—we’ll definitely be back.

Everyone living on this property was very nice and welcoming. The river is an exceptional treat in this remote and wild area. Absolutely loved our stay!

The Green Room was a comfy stay for us and our pup! The room was nice and cozy, even with the cold temps at night. The outhouse and kitchen and shower all met expectations! The hot water in the shower was really nice. The common areas had lots of seating and pillows, which was also very appreciated. I didn't have any mobile data signal here, but was able to communicate with Kira thru SMS text.

It's a beautiful place surrounded by nature. It's perfect for connecting with nature and recharging your batteries. The hosts make you feel comfortable and are attentive if you need anything. The river is beautiful next to the campsite and perfect for taking great photos. Totally recommended.

Nice and comfy stay! Instructions were clear on how to arrive. Fairly simple infrastructure like an outhouse with a view of the woods and a couple of solar panels to keep string lights on inside the cabin. Amazing view of the stars! Recommend bringing a charging device, flashlight, and all the usual camping stuff.

Butterfly landing is a gorgeous spot to stay! It's quiet and it looks like the tent spot has a gorgeous view of the vineyards. My friend and I stayed in the Bluebell Glamping Tent and it was awesome. The bed is comfortable and there is a ton of space inside, along with a deck that is perfect for a spot of stargazing. One other spot was occupied while we were there, but there's plenty of space for everyone, and I very much enjoyed making friends with our fellow HipCampers. The kitchen house and other common areas are a great size and well maintained, and plenty of places to sit and relax. We loved the convenience of running water in the kitchen house as well. The outdoor composting toilet is very well maintained and cleaned. The only thing I will note, and this is noted by Kira the host as well, but there is a lot of poison oak all around the property. It's obvious that Kira has done her best to clear it from the common areas, but if you don't know what it looks like already, be sure to learn ahead of staying here so that you don't have an unpleasant surprise! We loved this space and I would happily stay here again!

Words can’t quite capture how special this place is. The cabin we stayed in was spotless—immaculately clean—and clearly built with love and incredible attention to detail. Every morning, I woke up in awe, admiring the craftsmanship and the thoughtfulness that went into creating such a warm, magical space. The grounds are equally stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for soaking in the natural beauty around you. And if you’re a hiker, runner, or mountain biker, this is a dream location. You can leave your car parked and hit the trails straight from your cabin door. Truly one of the best stays I’ve had. 2 nights at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma

Nice Manager .gave us a ride to the lake so that we could arrange renting a boat. We did walk down to the Marina the next morning, and that's not bad, its all downhill We found a ride back up the hill. We were in our Class C Motorhome. The site had a great view of the lake. It was clean and had a firepit, which was nice ..but no grate, so bring your own bbq. We had a wonderful day on Lake Sonoma

2 nights at Jug Handle Creek Farm

The group camp site was spacious and had many flat spaces for tents. We enjoyed have sun and shade, and the kitchen area was great. In order to cook for big groups, you'll need to bring a couple of cook stoves as the grill space is limited and not able to handle multiple things. The surrounding forest was peaceful, and it was great to have real toilets nearby. Overall, our class had a wonderful experience here and loved the proximity to Jughandle Beach. The descent there was tricky (a little steep and slippery for some), so those with any needs should bring their walking sticks.

Site 1- Our Rv fit perfectly on a gravelly road between vineyards. It was easy to find and we enjoyed going into Hopland. The view was very scenic.

Welcome to Ariana Acres! Located on Ridgewood Summitt just north of The Golden Rule. Final resting place of legendary race horse Seabiscuit. Up until 1969 Ridgewood Park was State owned. It feels like a park because that's what is was. Lake Walker is about a mile down the Summitt on a dirt road. It's the local watering hole on the mountain for boating, intertubing and swimming. At near 3000 feet elevation the views and sunsets are breathtaking from up here. Enjoy the surrounding deer, wildlife and various songbirds, or take an exhilarating walk on the Summitt with breathtaking views and fresh mountain air. Skunk Train has different day and night railbike excursions ideal for couples. Ft. Bragg is an hour west on hwy 20 to the coast. Redwood Skywalk at Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka is two hours north in Humboldt County. Ariana Acres is perfect for families, lovers and their pets. Anyone traveling up and down the 101 we are 4 minutes to the hwy and 6 minutes to downtown Willits. For a less rugged experience the RV Park at Ridgewood Ranch has bathroom and shower facilities for $5. They are our direct neighbor to the south and home to the famous White Fallow deer. William Randolph Hearst imported them in from Europe and Charles Howard the owner of Seabiscuit loved them so much he bought some from his friend, and they remain here to this day. So rich in history and so much to do, or do nothing at all. BBQ on the grill, or sizzle on the griddle. Enjoy a great time off grid in the country in sunny northern California. Private sunny forest near the coast

Learn more about this land: The site is in a forested area with short pine and manzanita trees, so its nice and sunny, just out of the daily fog zone that blankets the coast, but only 3 miles from the coast. The neighborhood is super quiet and you can walk right from here to the Pygmy State Park trail system or just on the gravel neighborhood road. There is a main tent site and another tent site and places for 2 cars or more or a small travel trailer or van (20' length ok). There's a place for at least 2-3 tents and there is a table with 3 chairs provided. Also a metal box to keep your food away from bears that might come by (haven't had that happen yet). No campfires please but propane/gas cook stoves are fine. 50 gallons of potable water is provided from a tank. Please conserve water. Keep all food in your vehicle as there are bears and forest critters around. Outhouse with new, clean composting toilet, environmentally friendly! There has been an ornery squirrel that keeps ripping up the toilet paper so please bring your own. Use this lat/long as Google Maps doesn't like my address- 39.2581451131371, -123.723920996094. Brief directions- coming from the coast on Little River Airport Rd, turn right on "Posted Rd. 18/Sundew Lane" sign, stay right at the fork, first driveway on the right (funky oval painted sign as pictured).

It is truly a family affair as each generation has put in their time and energy, infusing this ranch with their own flair. In 1951 Herman and Clara Nelson sold their ranch in what is now Silicon Valley and headed north, landing in Southern Mendocino County near the town of Hopland. There is a beautiful holistic gift store, The Sea Trader, Four Eyed Frog Bookstore, and some lovely art galleries in town. Kayaking is available at the Gualala River. Hiking at Gualala Regional Park, the Bluff Trail, The Sea Ranch public access beaches, Stump Beach, Salt Point Park with a petrified forest, Bowling Ball Beach with its amazing natural formations (can only be seen fully at low tide of more than -0.2m), Manchester State Beach, Elk Beach, and more. Swimming at the Navarro River, and various bays. It is a place of incredible scenic beauty all along CA 1. Watch whales spouting during whale season. (Gray whales and orcas is December to May. For humpbacks, visit May through November, and for blue whales, the largest animal on Earth, plan your stay between July and October). Bower Park, just 0.5 miles away with a lovely lake, tennis courts, a baseball field, a basketball court, and two separate playgrounds. Play disc golf or hike along the nature trail/fitness course. Anchor Bay is 5 miles up CA 1, with a supermarket, a few cafes, restaurants (including a great Thai place!) laundromat, hair salon, and more. The quaint town of Point Arena is 12 miles north, with a supermarket, Frannie's Cup And Saucer, The Bird Cafe, a beautiful historic lighthouse, a theater, a pier, a mini-safari park (B Bryan Preserve with zebras, giraffes and more. Tours need to be booked in advance). Also visit Roots, a natural pharmacy for herbs, teas and supplements. There are also spots like Occidental, Bodega Bay, Jenner (with the Russian River to kayak and swim) and Timber Cove, all on the way to Gualala from the south. Bodega Bay has lovely spots to eat, with clam chowder, fish and chips. Enjoy wind and water sports, and walk on the pier.

Or come to the communal fire near the bathhouse for sharing some time with family and the few other campers that may be there. Bringing your own wood is welcome. The coastal bike and hike trails are many. From South of Ft Bragg to the Sand Dunes near Ward Ave. you can travel over 7 miles one way and go down to quiet little beach coves along the way. Meadow Farm is a nonprofit 501c3 with goals of coastal food security, disaster preparation and sheltering, carbon sequestering and forest restoration. We offer native plant tours on or off site with advance notice. We like our dog companions! Two McNab collies, Moxie and Shama live here and may bark at first...still very friendly and social with people and other dogs.. There are several dog friendly off-leash areas such as, Noyo North Harbor Beach, Seaside Beach and dog parks in both Ft Bragg and Mendocino. Our farm is dog friendly tho we wish pets to be kept close, must be neutered and friendly to other dogs and people. Please be sure to bury or bag the waste. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them.
