Weekend Trip to Peace & Quiet by the River!

We stayed at Site 3 which was perfect for our group. Everyone was able to spread out and have their own space. The campsite itself is sloped with a few flat areas that are suitable for tents. Plan accordingly if rain is in the forecast. This is one of the more expensive Hipcamps in the area, but you get what you pay for. Susan’s communication is stellar and she’s put a lot of thought into her property and the campsites. We will be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Bill S. and Nancy's property

Beautiful and serene property that is perfect for large and small groups. We had a quick stay and would have loved to been able to enjoy the surroundings more than we did. Thank you Bill!

2 nights at Bill S. and Nancy's property

Bill met us in the driveway and we chatted a bit. He showed us where our site was and headed off in front of us to deliver a fire ring and pre-purchased wood. He also allowed us to fill our tank with his hose which was very helpful! No problem pulling in to spot. Plenty of room for camper and truck. Bill made sure we settled in then went off to see to the site for another trailer which was due to arrive shortly. Once they arrived and were also properly welcomed and settled in, Bill came back to chat while we were cooking dinner. My other half drove tractor trailers for quite a while and Bill is a retired driver so they had stories to share! We asked Bill about biking in the area and if there were any local breweries. He gave us directions to sandy creek bike trail and big rail brewing. Both were excellent! Biking on rail trail had numerous bridges to cross with great views and a 1000 ft railroad tunnel to ride thru. Brewery had live music just setting up and was on a great property. Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, barstools, many choices to relax. Indoor bar as well as food trucks and a beer truck outside too! Loved the IPA!

2 nights at Peace & Quiet by the River!

Always a pleasure to be at site 2. I want to say it’s my time 7th there, but it’s probably my 6th. Water levels were perfect. This time of the year, the water is a little chilly but that did not stop us from taking a dip! The site, as always, was set up for what we needed. Usually, we venture into town for a burger, but we just wanted to stay in our special place. It’s why we keep coming back.

Great first time solo camping at John and Olga's farm. Both are very nice and I enjoyed talking to them. John pointed out some great places to hike and was very knowledgeable on when to view the stars. Planning on going again! Felt very safe!

Great stop! Scott accommodated my late stay request. Large level spot with pretty view overlooking tree farm and beyond. Would be a nice place to hang out and chill but I had to get on the road. Scott is a SUPER nice host.

The view was awesome and the sites were clean and nice. Porta John’s were also clean and nice with hand washing station. Close to town and kayaking. Plan on coming back to do the train with our kids one day, I would definitely come back

Weekend Trip to Hardscrabble Hill

David was an excellent host. Quick responses on communication and easy to find location. Secluded hill top site with full hook ups and excellent views. David delivered firewood right to the site, and even kept watch for rain due to our later arrival. There was no need to leave for a park, as a beautiful trail runs right along the property. David provided an excellent and seamless experience and a fantastic location for our first timeusing Hipcamp. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will be returning!

5 nights at Fairview Farms Airfield

We absolutely loved our stay at Fairview! We stayed for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The site we chose was on a hill with a beautiful view of the hills and sky. It was very quiet where we were and we were not near any other campers, which we loved. The bathroom was cute and clean and not too far away. The farm was adorable with goats, cows, chickens etc and the wildlife was great too! So many birds, and also deer, bunnies and turkeys. Bill was very kind and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful spot to camp! Lovely views of farm land. We fished all day and cooked meals in the large fire pit. Camp host was very friendly and accommodating and responds quickly. I would highly recommend staying here!

2 nights at Organic Farm in the Pocono Mts.

Nice spot with some great views of the Delaware valley. Old farmstead with fields to saunter in. Level site, big fire pit and lots of space to relax. Goats are great for kids to mingle with. Tons of berry bushes if you’re there in June/July. Easy access off 209 (though you can hear some traffic at night). Waterfront park just down the road. Water Gap is 10 mins away. Driveway is steep, be careful in wet weather. Some poison ivy around if allergic, so be careful in spring. Certainly a place we may revisit in another season.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the 100 Mile View Campground in Jim Thorpe, PA, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the stunning natural beauty that surrounds this campground. It was a delight to sample a variety of local wines, and the ability to purchase our favorites made it even better. Enjoying a glass of exquisite wine while taking in the breathtaking views was truly magical! Speaking of views, 100 Mile View Campground lives up to its name. The panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys are nothing short of spectacular. We spent our evenings sitting by the campfire, soaking in the scenery and watching the sunset paint the sky in brilliant hues. The campground itself is well-maintained, with spacious sites that offer plenty of privacy. The facilities are clean and convenient, enhancing our overall comfort during the stay. Whether you’re an avid camper or new to the experience, this campground provides a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. For anyone looking for a getaway that combines nature, wine, and stunning landscapes, I highly recommend 100 Mile View Campground. I can’t wait to return!

Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. Wilbur's Shed

Let your children and dogs roam free without a leash. This property is remote and private. There are no neighbors nearby. This location is; twenty minutes north of I-76 Turnpike Willow Hill Exit forty-five minutes from Raystown Lake one hour and thirty minutes north of Gettysburg one hour and thirty minutes south of PSU three hours east of Pittsburgh three hours west of Philadelphia five hours west of NYC There is some cell service, but it is limited. Can you hear me now? Be sure to save site information on your phone before you leave, in case you lose cell-service. This is not Alaska, but it is not a KOA campground, either. We recommend you print of bring a paper map. Your GPS will not bring you to the exact driveway location. You need to be personally observant. This is the top of a mountain ridge. The access lane is steep, rocky, and has water erosion ditches you must drive over. Do not attempt this if you have a low profile car or a new/fragile camper. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Low profile and fancy cars are not recommended. This camping site is for those who want to live ruggedly like Lewis Clark. To see the water ditches you must drive over, go to YouTube and search "Wilbur's Shed - Blairs Mills", and it is the account of a cat with a white face. This location is in a mix of farmland and mountain Appalachia. You will see common species such as chipmunks, squirrels turkey and deer. Many bird species. There are also porcupines, skunks, and black snakes around. You may also see black bear - it is rare, but possible. You are visiting wildlife species in their natural habitat. Please be self-aware of your own level comfort with wildlife. Once again, this is not an RVs park where you will socialize with a hundred other campers. This is primitive and isolated. This is an ideal camping spot if you want to escape from people. Nearby is the Tuscarora Creek which is excellent for trout fishing. The Tuscarora has a small but lovely window for kayaking from mid-March through the end of May. Please contact the host if you would like help to plan some paddle logistics. Rental through Hipcamp does not include hunting or the use of firearms, nor the use of dirt bikes and ATVs.

My wife and I and our four children moved to this 25 acre farm in 2017, and the creek and adjoining Mammoth Park soon became our favorite spots to relax. Our two boys swim and fish in the holes, while the girls enjoy picking flowers and making "houses" among the trees. We also love hosting friends and family for cookouts, or spending a Sunday afternoon in the cool shade beside the creek. On our 15 acres of pasture land, we raise chickens, pigs, a few dairy cows, and some steers. We are not a certified organic farm, but we raise our animals on pasture grass as much as possible, without chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. The Mammoth Park, which adjoins our property, features a 20-acre lake, a new 9-hole disc golf course, walking trails, pavilions, ball fields, a giants slide, RC airstrip, and more. We'd love to share our favorite spots with you! The campground is easily accessed from the Bloomsburg exit of Interstate 80, ten miles north on SR 487, and 1.5 miles east of Forks on Winding Road. The nearest major town is Bloomsburg, 10 miles to the south, and both Philadelphia and New York City are within a 3-hour drive.

Our chemical free farm is set on 45 acres overlooking the iconic Delaware Water Gap in the Pocono Mountains! We're located 1 hour from NYC and 1.5 hours from Philadelphia. There are plenty of activities within the 45 acres: hiking, fishing, farming activities, bird watching, biking all on site. We have luscious fields of sustainably produced vegetables, fruit and flowers. Explore the Delaware river from our boat launch or one of the great canoe rental companies. Hike Mt. Tammany, Ski Shawnee Mt, walk the Appalachian Trail, visit America's oldest jazz club in Delaware Water Gap or visit the dozens of water falls surrounding our farm for a swim. (Autumn is camping season in the poconos, bring blankets and plan hikes for excellent fall foliage) We have 3 camping locations which you can park near with your vehicle. They are all private camps and out of sight from others. Our camps sites are for people that like camping in the mountains and near a working farm. Our farm and the community we built is focused on sustainable living with nature, local self reliance, and kindness. Also, feel free to join us in the fields, request a tour, pet a goat, smell a pig, and check out our DIY home renovation, (built with hempcrete). Pets should not be off leash unless well behaved and pets should not be left unattended. truck campers are allowed if they're under 8 feet. No trailers/campers. Campsite #1 (Lean To Site) This site is along the river. It is private and lovely. You may park your car above the site and walk down to the river and camping area. Short, 50 yards, but a steepish walk. Pack in and out accordingly. Very private, lots of space. It is perfect. Campsite #2 (Dog Gone Site) This site is also along the river. It is private and has the same set up as site one. Park your car on top of hill and walk on down. It is a lovely spot. Walk is about 50 yards down a steep hill. Pack accordingly. Campsite #3 (High Site) Site 3 is above the river and looks over Hawk Mountain and the farm. It is private with beautiful views. Unreal full moon gazing............. Sunrise, Sunset, Moon rise, Bird watching, all very visible from this site. Car accessible, no walking to campsite required. At all sites, different seasons bring different activities. Spring: Kayaking, fishing and hiking. Summer: hiking, fishing in the pond, cooling off in the swim hole. Fall: raptor watching, hiking, biking plus fishing, (license required), in the Little Schuylkill. The nights are dark with star lit skies. We have a 1.5 acre bass pond on the farm for fishing, so bring your rod. Big bass in there!! Your camp site is surrounded by woods and forest, fields and trees. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail. There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located 5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. Hopewell Furnace, St. Peter's village, Daniel Boone homestead, Historic Springton Manor, Marsh Creek Park and lake are all nearby. We have a fully wooded area available to explore across the creek, and weather dependent- the creek is a great place to stay cool. You'll see lots of growing fruit trees in our developing orchard and we are happy to share our vision for this beautiful land! We have two campsites available for you to choose between for your stay. Both sites are along the creek, however, one has a view of some nearby houses and is a short walk to the parking spot [Creekside]. The other site is more secluded, past the tree line, but a further walk from where you are able to park. [Hillside] If needed, we are happy to lend you a wagon to haul your gear. Please let us know if you have questions and your preference of site. We have a cabin-like bathroom and partial kitchen you will have access to during your stay. We always have cold water available for purchase in the fridge. There is trail access easily accessible from our home (the closest is approximately 1 mile), for paved or natural trail exploration. We are are a great stopping point for cyclists enjoying the area. It's a short drive to downtown Phoenixville with some of the best breweries around. Phoenixville is home to a great farmers market on Saturday mornings and numerous festivals. Also, close-by is the lovely quaint village of Kimberton, home of the best organic grocery store and many opportunities for hiking and small farms.
