Welcome to Wayne's Forest Nook, a rugged oasis where the spirit of the wild west comes alive amidst the sheltering branches of ancient trees. Here, every gust of wind carries the echoes of cowboy tales and the thrill of untamed frontiers. This campsite can be accessed by car, truck, walking or ATV. Camp kitchen available for rent with cookware, propane camp stove, picnic backpack, cooking utensils. Refrigerator is shared in the common area in event venue along with Keurig, free washer/dryer/ ice machine and regular coffee maker. All guests have access to private bathrooms in the new bath house or a compost toilet and solar shower with shower tent if you prefer. We had a great time camping here. The land is very secluded and quiet. The owners offer a wide range of activities for families and those who are interested in archery! My husband and I took advantage of the archery set up. The small bathhouse has everything you need to get cleaned up including private full bathroom with toilet, shower with hot water, sink and storage to place your items. Everything was kept clean as well. Mary and her husband were great hosts and were available to help us as needed. They also gave fun suggestions for things to do in the area as our original plans had been cancelled due to rainy weather. If we are ever back in the area, we will be camping here again!

This was a perfect spot for us on our trip to watch Ultimate Frisbee at the Jack Allen park just a few miles away. The couple that met us were super friendly and helpful. My wife is not a big camper but she was glad to have bathrooms available not far from our camp. We would certainly stay again.

Jessie's Forest Hideaway
We chose the furthest campsite and this land has everything from out in the open sites, to deep woods sites accessible only on foot. Mary & Wayne made sure we found Jessie's by leading us in their four-wheeler. Vast and beautiful landscape and all of it secluded. Plenty of wood to buy from your gracious hosts at great prices - and delivery, too! Mary showed us her love for flowers and they were blooming! Mary also made sure we got out safely since their Archery range was in full action - no accidents will happen here! The other half of this duo, Wayne, set us up with all that any camper would need and we felt safe and completely at peace. and that's why you come here, for the peace!

Mary took us on a tour of the land and it was truly impressive. We are looking forward to camping here. We are allowed to find anywhere on the 45 acres to put down and set up. They will bring us a picnic table and fire pit and sell us wood since we are on motorcycles. Bath house is on-site!

I didn't have a chance to completely explore Bates Farm, but what a nice spot with flush toilets, showers, laundry on site, and lots of campsites to choose from. They are really nice and accommodating, and have lots of kid friendly experiences available. Definitely on my 'repeatable stay' list!

Very peaceful, lots of land to explore, amenities were good, as were the hosts! We would definitely return, lots of options on where to stay, further away from the bath house if you want more remote, play zone is good for younger children. We were able to play fetch with our dog which was awesome considering most places require them to be leashed at all times.

Quiet farm in rolling meadows!

Mary was so welcoming on our visit. Upon arrival she gave me several options for parking our bus. We chose a beautiful spot at the top of a sprawling meadow area. It made for beautiful views of the rising and setting of the sun. The play areas were an instant hit with my kids and they loved the new Teepee obstacle course. The bath house and laundry area were both exceptionally clean and comfortable to use during our short stay. While this campground is still getting off the ground, Mary has gone out of her way to make even the shortest of stays memorable with plenty available to do on the farm. We are still enjoying some homemade pickles from some farm fresh cucumbers from her garden! Site was 100% off grid. Fire pit, picnic table and trash bin available on campsite during stay. We had a great time and have already recommended this site to other campers traveling through the region.

Rohan’s Forest Site is the perfect camp if you’re looking for a nice and private area. The owners were very welcoming, leading me to my site, plus giving me a little tour of where some of the key things are on the farm. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back in the future!

Alana's Secluded Forest
We tent camped at Alanah's Secluded Forest and it was a really nice spot with plenty of room both under the trees and some under the open sky. We were arriving quite late and they set up little solar lights to help us find it, and even brought us the firewood we purchased for the fire pit ( was really good firewood and generously sized bundles too). Showers nearby were awesome in the morning with the increasing summer heat and humidity. Highly recommend!

So, we completely fell in love with this entire site. Stellas was an amazing area and the entire property was beautiful. Bathhouses were well kept and clean, and the water was great. We will definitely be using this property for our future events and camp outs.

Met Mary (Host) and she was very friendly and helpful. The shop site was gravel so when it rained it was not muddy. The Bathrooms & Showers were clean. Bates Farm is about 15 minutes from the Beltline but it is very quiet & secluded. The Verizon reception was good also. Returning to Decatur will translate into staying at Bates Farm again.

Excellent site! It was quiet without being too remote. Town was right there if we wanted, but there was no reason to go. The bath houses were great with 3 young children. They were able to shower, brush teeth, go to the bathroom, and it was big enough all three could go in with me so I could help them.

Mary and her husband were so hospitable to us! They helped us find the perfect site for our needs and made sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the variety of nature and fantasy-themed activities available for campers here. This would be a perfect introduction to camping for young children and families!

We loved our adventure at Bates Farm!!! We stayed at Joes Cycle Site, which was a very spacious and secluded site! The owners were very attentive to anything we needed, and even gave us freshly picked strawberries for a tasty treat!!! We also did the Escape to Elissa scavenger, escape quest!!! We had a blast exploring the property and challenging ourselves to solve the riddles, puzzles and cryptic messages to victory!!! The bathhouse was a very nice addition to our stay it was clean and was the perfect place for a shower to clean up before bed. We appreciate all the effort the owners put into making their property a great space and sanctuary for all to enjoy. Thank you!!

Me and a buddy were passing through town when we saw this great Hipcamp online. He was coming from Florida and me from Tennessee when this was the perfect middle ground camping location. My buddy arrived early and was able to get us checked in and when I arrived later there was nothing to do besides setup camp and relax for the night. This property is absolutely beautiful and you will NOT be disappointed! Relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable are three words we would use!
