Welcome to Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, your go-to destination for a unique and memorable camping experience in Joshua Tree. This family-owned and operated park offers breathtaking views from its 2,300 ft elevation, showcasing the beauty of the Mojave Desert and the surrounding mountains. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast looking to explore the area or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground has something for everyone. With panoramic views of the North face of Joshua Tree National Park, the ancient Copper Mountain Hills to the North and East, and exceptional desert vistas, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes wherever you look. Office Hours: 8:30 - 8 Sunday - Thursday 8:30 - 9 Friday and Saturday Check-in Begins at 12 PM. Checkout is at 11 AM. The campground is situated on the southern edge of the Mojave Desert and boasts some of the best stargazing opportunities in the region. With clear, unpolluted skies, you can enjoy the magnificent night skies and immerse yourself in the beauty of the stars. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so please take note of the following guidelines: Swimming is not permitted in the lake and there is no swimming pool available. Fishing is currently closed. Pet owners will be pleased to know that their furry friends are welcome, but there will be an additional fee added to the reservation. Wi-Fi is provided by a third-party company and a separate service fee applies. Please note that we cannot guarantee the speed, rate, or troubleshooting of the Wi-Fi service. For your convenience, a wash station for dishes is available on-site, and the Joshua Tree Laundromat is located 9 miles away in downtown Joshua Tree. For campfires, it is important to keep them contained inside the designated burn barrels and never leave them unattended. In the event of high winds, campfire, and BBQ use may be suspended for safety reasons. So, pack your gear and head to Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, your favorite place to stay while you play in Joshua Tree. Nice campground not too far from the National Park - Power was out for a few hours when we arrived and tents had to be fixed with stones as the ground was really compacted, but otherwise great view at the night sky and generous amount of space :)

Checkin in went smooth and great organisation. We didn’t check in until 11pm but it was easy to contact security. It felt safe to stay there and any questions were easily answered. Showers and bathrooms were also great!

The campsite is located in a really great area close to the North entrance of Joshua Tree National Park! The campsites within the National Park book up quickly, so this is a great alternative to staying in the park. It was easy to locate and check in. The campsite we stayed in was perfect. We saw the most gorgeous stars during the night we stayed there! However, there were some issues related to water and bathrooms during the weekend we visited. When we checked in, the power at the campsite was out. This meant that we wouldn't have access to running water or to the bathrooms. The host informed us that we could use the portable toilets located onsite, and that they had water available for purchase if needed, but that payment could only be accepted in cash. Since we didn't have cash, we had to drive into town to fill our containers with water from a gas station. I understand that power outages are unavoidable and not the fault of the site, but it would have been nice to have water available since it is listed as a feature of this campsite. The portable toilets were very dirty and several of them didn't have toilet paper. There also wasn't hand sanitizer or soap available. We had camp soap we were able to use, but again, it would have been nice to have soap or sanitizer provided. After the power came back on, the bathrooms were reopened and were very clean and well stocked! I would stay here again, but would bring extra water and hand sanitizer in case of power outages.

Our experience at Joshua Tree Lake was unforgettable! Paul was absolutely amazing; he helped us set up our tent and made us feel so welcome. We also want to thank Shiley (or Shaley—sorry if I’m mispronouncing it!) for being so kind and helpful throughout our stay. This was my first time camping and my husband’s first time camping as an adult, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We also left four tent stakes on the bench; I hope Paul found them! Thank you again for such a memorable experience!

The hosts were great. It’s a very exposed area and the wind was active. I may have had a bad draw and the regular showers were down. They had outdoor showers and they were good. It’s very open- know that. The staff were absolutely wonderful.

We had an amazing stay at this campground! The location couldn’t be better — just minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. The campsite was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. Communication with the host was smooth and easy; they provided clear directions and tips for exploring the area. I loved tent camping at Joshua Tree Lake campground. We got to see animals up close and enjoy the stars at night. The only confusion for me was did we set up on the left or right of the table marking our tent site number. Marking out the space would be helpful because other tent campers seemed to have the same confusion. We will definitely recommend, and be visiting again. It was a fun enjoyable experience.
