We spent a long weekend at Malaina’s and loved every minute of it! We enjoyed the outdoor shower and hot tub, drinking tea by the fireplace, and waking up to birds chirping outside the cabin. Malaina is the best host! She gave us great recommendations for local attractions and food. Highly recommend!

We had a very relaxing stay at the little cabin. The outdoor hot tub with the hot water was amazing, so relaxing! The bed was really comfortable and the bedding kept us snug and warm. Our host was great about checking to see if we had everything we needed and was very responsive but we never saw her as she gave us the privacy we were seeking. We loved this spot, very calm and beautiful

What a beautiful corner Malania has made. Me and my boyfriend had a great time! Very close to Sonora and amazing restaurants and fun bars :) Kitchen has everything you would need! The tub is so much fun. Didn’t expect the instant hot water available! The outdoor shower at night was so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

The cabin at Joyful Heart is absolutely magical! We loved staying here (this was our second time) and would love to return. Relaxing in the tub under the stars, enjoying crisp mornings full of birdsong, and having a cozy launching point for nearby hikes in Jamestown as well as for visiting Yosemite for a day -- it's a very dreamy place. In the winter, the cabin warms up nicely with the provided heater, and having hot water for bathing makes the chillier nights really lovely.

The cozy cabin was a wonderful place to stay for a romantic getaway.
Very private and has plenty of cooking equipment and little things to add to the enjoyment of your stay, like a hot shower, hot tub, towels, robes and lights.
The bed is comfortable, the cabin stays nice and warm with a heater.
Outside there is a firepit, camping stove, bbq and sink with running water.
We had an awesome time and would recommend this place as a getaway for couples any season.

Malaina was very kind and communicative regarding directions to the place, and gave amazing recommendations for sight seeing and hikes in the area. Our stay was so pleasant and cozy. The outdoor kitchen/sink setup was so great. It felt calming to get out of the city and stay here.

I had a lovely weekend at Malaina’s property. The hot tub was so fun and relaxing, and the bed was cozy and warm! We got to enjoy making breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and appreciated having coffee to enjoy. This place was perfect for getting to enjoy the great outdoors while being comfortable and cozy.

What Malaina has created is simply magical. As a solo woman traveler, I felt completely safe and was given tons of privacy. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are solo or with someone special.

We loved our stay here. Traveling with a dog and it was great not having to stay in a hotel. The hot tub was fun and we enjoyed it in the evening and morning. Malians was gracious and welcoming. We had everything we needed. Especially loved the cozy robes since the morning was chilly. Would love to stay there again.

Everything that everyone has said about Malaina is correct - she will make sure everything is going well with you but give you all the space you want. This spot was "cozy", and it was laid out cutely and conveniently. Hot tub was really nice.

I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely cabin! The host coordinated with me to make sure fresh ice was in the cooler for my arrival and I had instructions to easily find the place. Everything I needed for cooking was provided. The cabin and bed were very cozy and I slept well. Only stayed for one night and didn't get a chance to try out the tub, but the outdoor shower had nice hot water when I used it on a cool morning. My dogs also loved being able to roam a bit in the garden.

This was the absolute best choice for us and our dogs. The host was spectacular in communication and ensuring we had everything we needed from toiletries, activity suggestions, and even ice daily on hot days! Our dogs here comfortable and we were able to enjoy the outdoor tub as a jacuzzi at night and cold pool during the day. We recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing, private weekend surrounded by nature and beautiful stars at night (we were so lucky enough to see a meteor shower). Will be booking again in the future for sure! 😁

We stayed at Malaina’s cabin overnight during a weekend visit to Yosemite. We loved both the cabin and the outdoor sitting area/kitchen! Malaina was very responsive and extremely helpful. We would definitely book again for a future trip!

I couldn’t be happier with my time spent at this camp. It was everything I was looking for and more. The hangout spot was perfect for making s'more's and playing games with my family. The kids loved running around, hunting for frogs, and splashing around in the hot tub. There was enough room in the camp to set up a little tent and we fit an extra cot inside the cabin. I’m so grateful we found this place, and I would absolutely love to stay again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

We had an amazing time !! At first arrival I was taken aback by the beautiful smells of the flowers surrounding the cabin. Then stunned by the comfortable and well shaded outdoor area that was well stocked with amenities. The cabin was spacious on the inside and well insulated. The outdoor shower and tub were refreshing on a hot summer day. The outhouse was a very short walk away and had open air flowing through. The garden was fully fenced so my dog could roam free and safe. He did not want to leave. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and rest in a tranquil garden surrounded by the sounds of various birds.

What a dream! This was my first Hipcamp reservation and what finalized my decision was a previous review saying this was great for solo female travelers. This was absolutely true and I loved my two nights at Malaina’s site. She was such a lovely and attentive host. I felt that I had all of the privacy I needed but it was nice knowing my host had my back if I needed anything.
The location was incredible. You’re in the company of native woodpeckers, quail, and the constant overhead patrol of Turkey vultures. The landscaping of the property was wonderful and one of the best features was the outhouse not gonna lie. I mean when was the last time you went to the bathroom with a view of a stunning manzanita?
Expect all of the amenities listed. I felt fully prepared entering the site, although I wasn’t sure if I needed propane for the stovetop - you don’t. Malaina has everything covered and I highly recommend this host and site!

We loved staying at the cabin! The bed was super comfortable and allowed for a restful nights sleep. We loved the hot tub and the infinite amount of hot water. We brought our own cooking utensils but our host provided everything we would have needed. Our host was super helpful with recommendations of what to do around town and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our stay!

Malaina and her property were amazing! Even during a freak snowstorm her place was cozier than expected. The on demand water heater for the hot tub was just what we needed. Malaina was the best host and so accommodating. She always made sure we had everything we needed and enough firewood. She even washed some towels for us. Our dogs had the best time being able to run around and play to their hearts content. I definitely recommend this place in any weather condition. We hope to visit again during non-snowy weather.

Peaceful hideout with western sun, amongst the trees and flowers...if you need a place to be still definitely consider this gem! The bed is comfortable and my sleep was easy (a miracle alone). The hot tub experience is truly unique and magical . I thoroughly enjoyed the views, tree-filled with birds, bees, & thunderstorms during early Spring. The Tuolumne Table Mountain hike near by was stunning and absolutely worth the short 10 minute drive. Nature lovers, fire tenders, and plant folk would like this spot. Not to mention the host is stellar and went above and beyond- truly made my trip unforgettable. I definitely will return! Solo female travelers, I highly recommend!

This was one of the loveliest glamping experiences I’ve ever had! The location was great, we got to explore locally in the town and on a very nice hike recommended by the host. The amenities here were such a nice touch. Hot tub in the evening watching the stars… hot tub in the morning before some yoga on the deck. Vibrations were high here and Malaina was super flexible and accommodating, having the fire and hot tub ready for us whenever we returned back to our little nook. We will definitely be back again 🥰

Everything I needed ! I wanted to camp but I didn’t want dirt under my nails! I wanted private but close enough to people for comfort/safety. A private spot with a full kitchen, my own hot tub, beautiful garden and SUCH A comfy bed. Not to mention such a helpful host. Malaina gave me suggestions for food, hiking, and fun! She was attentive but also let me have my space. This trip was everything I hoped it would be an I’m so thankful for her sharing this space! Book it! You won’t regret!

We absolutely loved our stay. The site was beautiful and the host was attentive but not intrusive. She checked in with us frequently via messages to assure that we had everything we needed but gave us total privacy. We particularly enjoyed the hot bath. We also had our dog who was happy being there.

We had the *coziest* time at Malaina's cabin! We needed a quiet, private, comfortable place to retreat and full the full moon under open sky. We spent the nights soaking in the tub by candle and moon light, and the mornings sipping coffee outside to sn orchestra of birdsong. Mailana provided everything we needed to indeed retreat. I especially enjoyed the horticulture (purple irises and salvia happy with artichokes), and the touches of art around that gave it a funky fun vibe. Absolutely will return again, most especially for the SILENCE. Highly recommend. Bring a Jackery or power brick if you need electricity for anything beyond a cell phone (she provides a cell charging station).

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. It's very private as it's the only guest site on the property, far from the main house. We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and watching the stars every night. Malaina is an excellent host, very responsive, friendly, and communicative. Just bring your USB chargers as that's the only power source inside the bedroom. The serenity and beauty of the space make it more than worthwhile. I highly recommend Malaina's hipcamp!
