Jessica made sure that we were well taken care of and comfortable during our stay. She was very responsive via text to any questions we had during out trip. The mountain bikes you can rent from her are legit, as is the willow creek trail nearby. The treehouse was truly a unique experience and the lodge and surrounding area was gorgeous. The highlight was the hot tub overlooking the forest and valley north of the lodge, as well as the amazing outdoor shower. FYI, the treehouse has a powered lift for heavier supplies and a bucket on a rope/pulley for smaller items. You’ll need to use the ladder to get up and down the treehouse, so if heights are an issue this is not for you. The treehouse cabin itself feels relatively new in the inside, with a small fridge, cups, wine glasses, and potable water. Super comfortable mattress. Bring warm clothing but don’t be fooled; the upper loft gets nice and warm and the bedding is ample. Don’t mind the creaking/swaying that happens with the gusts for a few hours in the early evening; the treehouse is on rolling joists so this is normal and the movement predictably stops at night for bedtime.

I came with about 10 people and 4 kids for my birthday weekend and had such an amazing stay due to Jessica’s hospitality and the stunning property!! The property is stunning, the accommodation is well thought out, treee house is AMAZING, and Jessica is such a thoughtful host - she shared a bubble machine for the kids, there’s an entire playground for them as well, and an extra air mattress to make a family even more comfy. Stay here - you’ll have such a stellar time!

An unforgettable experience! Can’t recommend the treehouse enough. Every touch was so thoughtful and considered. The charming nearby town of Occidental was a great place to bop around and enjoy dinner. Miss J was a great and responsive host. Can’t wait to come back!

Such a lovely place! The area was quiet and peaceful, there’s beautiful vineyards and hikes nearby. We had such a relaxing stay in the treehouse and it offered everything we needed. Would recommend 1000%

We loved the tree house! We had such a magical time together here— from star gazing in the hot tub, to creature sightings (we saw a little fox and a skunk), drinking hot coco in the robes they provided, and soaking up the beauty of the redwoods and wild flowers! Jessica and her family were the most incredible hosts! They even sent us home with a bag of freshly picked Santa Rosa lemons. We had the most magical time and will certainly be back to this incredible oasis!

It's hard to know where to start, but it's easy to say that your time here will make it feel hard to leave. The land and the space the owners have created is the ultimate retreat. From the serenity circle with it's warm firepit, to the hammocks and swings where you can lay with a good book, or the coziest treehouse, where after you adventure up the ladder you get to wrap yourself in blankets and nap on a human-sized beanbag. They have a hot tub where you can watch the sun set behind the mountains, kayaks to adventure on the russian river, private yoga lessons, massage treatments if you need some relaxation, mountain bikes for the many local trails...the list goes on. The town is also absolutely adorable and just down the road. I would come back and definitely stay awhile.

The treehouse was incredible! So many meticulous details. The hosts were incredibly kind and were so generous with their time and property. We got to borrow their mountain bikes and do a little ride nearby. The location is perfect — close to many hikes and cycling trails — and you can still drive to the town nearby if needed. Everything about the place was magical and the hosts really went way above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

This was the dreamiest space in the woods with all the luxurious touches that made it feel like home! The tree cabin was so warm and cozy, convenient with the bathroom, keurig, and other amenities upstairs while downstairs the full trailer with kitchen and a gorgeous hot tub made everything easy. Miss J was warm and welcoming, we loved meeting her!

The tree cabin at Moon Bear Lodge was truly incredible! Such a cozy place to stay. Jessica was a great host as well and gave us a tour of the property! Would highly recommend :)

I took my wife to stay in the treehouse for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. The host is very nice, welcoming and made our stay enjoyable. It does get cold, but there are heaters in the treehouse that keep you warm, a warm jacuzzi and warm blankets. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

My partner and I had such a wonderful experience in the tree cabin. Miss J was incredibly welcoming, approachable, and made sure we had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay and then some. The tree cabin is very magical. You get all the comfort and coziness on the inside and all of the fun and adventure right outside. We had a great time exploring the property, soaking in the hot tubs, and making smores in the fire pit (which Miss J and company graciously helped to set up for us when we wanted to use it). This is a fantastic place to stay and we look forward to coming back and enjoying again sometime soon! Thank you Miss J!

Miss J’s land and treehouse cabin are magical. Amazing nature and good vibes all around. The tree cabin was majestic and inspiring. Our host was super welcoming and accommodating. The hot tub was nice and there are many cool features to be explored in the vicinity. Everything was cute and easy. I would come back for sure.

We loved staying here! Off the bat we were greeted by Miss J and she gave us a tour of the property. It was beautiful and we were allowed to use any of the recourses including a hot tub or fire pit. The tree house was secluded and felt like you were in your own world. It had heaters, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and even a luggage lift so you don't have to carry your bags up the ladder! Even in rainy weather we had an amazing cozy stay. Miss J was super responsive if we needed her and super welcoming. We would recommend this to everyone and would love to stay here again!

Our stay at the treehouse was lovely. We appreciated the private and beautiful setting. The treehouse itself was whimsical and cozy. Miss J was a gracious host and made sure we had heated blankets, candles, coffee, a headlamp for getting around after dark and an umbrella for the rain. The property is gorgeous with many places to relax and enjoy nature. We would recommend the place to all who enjoy the beauty of nature. We are looking forward to returning again soon!

Stayed for my husband’s birthday weekend and had a wonderful experience. Hosts were very friendly and gave us a tour of all the amenities. We had fun exploring and star gazing. The hot tub and the tree house were definitely highlights! It is an amazing place and I hope to return again sometime!

Miss J has, and is sharing with all of us, a magical place. I stayed in the tree house but all three of Moon Bear’s accommodations are ideal examples of what is represented. A pristine RV with all the amenities, a yogic energy building with amazing healing vibes and the EPIC tree house.
I don’t use the e word lightly. This tree house is super well built, but still a real tree house. Ladder straight up the side of a massive redwood, no bridges, and over 30 feet up! An awesome winch for bringing up gear, made it easy to bring my electric bass up there to practice. Super cool decor, great energy and surrounded by forest, I did not want to come down!
But then there is Miss J.
Truly the hostess with the mostest! From the second I arrived, I felt warm and welcomed…instantly at home in the space. How could I not be when the redwood fairy circle was lit with tiny gentle lights, an enchanted forest for sure. Climbing the ladder the first time was an adventure full of discovery…so cool. The whole experience was magical.
Miss J arranged an exceptional deep tissue and energy healing massage on site (the yoga room was perfect for this), then capped it off with a sound bath style healing with her beautiful crystal bowls. Hot tub, beautiful and engaging flora and fauna, starry skies one night and rain the second (talk about pitter patter…so rad), close to the ocean and the river as well as Occidental and tons of art, wine and food.
Can’t go wrong here, seriously. I will be back:-)

The tree cabin was overall a pretty good experience. It was in a great location and the interior of the cabin was pretty nice. I felt like that tour could have had more details. For instance: an important note about the pulley system is that if your bag doesn’t fit in the provided bucket, you could hook the hook to your bag strap, but the hook is pretty small. My bag with all my electronics fell but luckily nothing broke. Just be sure to secure bags off the ground so they don’t swing once you bring the pulley up. The water in the coffee machine had some sort of twigs or biomatter in it so I would have appreciated more hygiene around that. I didn’t anticipate how much noise the ladder makes climbing up it too, so that caught me off guard and had me questioning its stability. Aside from these things, it does have a nice feel inside the cabin!
