We tent camped at her horse property. Communication with owner was easy and she responds quickly. Once we arrived, everyone working there was very helpful. It was a little bit tricky to figure out where we were supposed to camp. The sites didn't have any obvious signs and didn't look like camp site areas. A couple of camping areas were just surrounding the barn but weren't obvious to us. The barn had a nice bathroom, warm water which I loved. Unfortunately, the night we stayed it was raining but luckily we camped in a grassy area. There was an electrical connection where we were able to easily charge our phones and use our light connection with an extension cord. The location of her farm is perfect. Close to various areas of interest. We just used the camp site to sleep and shower since the area has a lot of things to do.

Had a wonderful time at Megan’s horse camp. Perfect place to escape the 110 degree heat of the Central Valley. We mainly used her horse camp as a base camp to enjoy the surrounding areas. As stated the area has a bathroom with warm water and a sink. There is also a portapotty just in case. Unfortunately we missed the Polo tournament that Megan was hosting but hope to be able to witness one in the future. Thank you Megan for opening up your land for camping.

I have mixed feeling about this place. For it being our first camping trip my experience was quite disappointing. The camping areas were not adequate, there was no camping spots and it was difficult to find a suitable spot to set up a tent. We placed tent in an area that was nice, with a view of the mountains, the grass was cut and there was a picnic table but got told to move and place our tent in another area that was next to a building, porta potty and toy hauler, with long grass. I felt like I was camping in someones backyard. Additionally, the fire area was poorly maintained and did not meet basic safety standards. This made it challenging to enjoy a campfire safely. We followed instructions of starting fire in the fire pit they provided but got told to turn off right away.
However, I must mention that the presence of horses at the campsite significantly improved our stay. They were a delightful addition and brought a lot of joy to our experience.
I hope the management takes steps to improve the camping and fire areas for future campers, as the horses are a wonderful feature.

We had two trucks with a Teardrop trailer and fit just fine at the backend of the lot along the fenceline. Host was responsive through text. The lot was nice and the horses were a cool touch. The weather was absolutely great. Nice and cool all day and night.

To start, my review reflects more what I wish I knew about the location before I got there. The farm itself was amazing. The horses they have or board are absolutely majestic & very friendly. Before we got there, communication from the host was pretty sparse. A little more details in what to expect would have been nice. They had some portapotties but they weren’t hooked up to water. We trailer camped & we’re pretty self-contained. We were able to connect to 120v power giving us enough power for our trailer. They were very full that weekend so we had to fill our tank at the faucet, which also worked for us. It still would have been good to have working Portapotties so that we didn’t have to use our black water tank. The listing also said that campfires are allowed but we found out upon arrival that they weren’t. We also registered & paid for the organic farm tour & purchasing eggs but they didn’t have time to give us the tour & they didn’t have eggs, neither of which we knew ahead of time. The location was perfect. It felt far away from everything but was 15 mins max from many attractions services. The host never checked in on us during the stay, which would have been nice. The place is very dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly. There were also LOTS of people on the property that weekend but it’s 80 acres so it didn’t feel crowded. I will say my kids had a BLAST exploring & petting the horses. It was relaxing & I would definitely go back, just w/ lower expectations.

Tons of open space here, had plenty of privacy. The horses are SO CUTE AND SWEET. Bathrooms scattered around the property. Megan was readily available by phone. Perfectly met my needs!

We had a great camp at Megans farm! The vibe was very down to earth, welcoming, and raw. There were lots of horses, dogs and a goat on property who were fun to watch. The stables were the raw part and was fine for us. We only used it for the bathroom.

A nice place to park your RV or trailer overnight with a lot of horses. The shower and bathroom are not the cleanest but it's a horse boarding and farm facility so it is completely understandable. The drive was easy and it's close to MorroBay and Montana De Oro. Would love to visit again when I have a chance.

The bathroom was very dirty, trash was not cleaned from previous people. This place did not worth the charge, we paid ~ 160$ per night which did not worth it. Not recommended at all.

The directions to enter the site/area were incorrect, including a statement that said there is no gate at the entrance. There was a gate and it required a code to get in. The owner did not answer her phone when I called it to inquire about how to enter. I mistakenly then tried a driveway right next to the locked gate and wound up on someone else's property. The owner of that property was extremely upset and angry about the fact I was on his property. Not a pleasant experience to say the least. The campsite owner finally called me after the other property owner left a message with her and met me at the gate. She immediately apologized and that she has been giving lessons. I suggested to her at that time that she should upgrade her instructions about the locked gate, etc. The supposed kitchen area that was explained in the site narrative was a table inside a barn with a coffee maker and toaster, nothing more...We were shown the campsite options and chose the one that was more secluded near some of the horse corrals. The only fire pit was right next to the barn which was not at all near the campsite we chose so we were unable to build a fire. This seemed a bit deceiving as the descriptor/narrative said that you could use a fire pit and wood was available, which it was not. When I went to use the bathroom in the morning I was unable to shut and lock the bathroom door which was inside the barn next to the kitchen, rather the table with the coffee maker and toaster.

We camped in our trailer and we were fully self contained. The property was beautiful and my kids loved running around and petting all the horses. There’s a great ocean breeze and plenty of space to run around. The power kept resetting so we had to run on battery and we had a full tank so we didn’t need any water. Megan was very responsive. We’d definitely stay here again.

Surrounded by the wide open sky and happy horses grazing and playing, I slept so peacefully. The loft accommodations were wonderful -- comfortable and clean --and I couldn't wait to check and see if the pregnant mare had her baby overnight. I made friends with the yearlings and enjoyed petting and scratching them. As a bonus, I was able to go on a beach ride with Megan in Morro Bay and had an amazing time getting to know her as well as a couple of her polo horses. This is really a horse lover's paradise and a beautiful place to take in the central coast!

The site was definitely not worth $99 a night. The bathroom was filthy, there was trash on the floor, a dirty sink, and a very dirty shower. When I tried to take a shower the hot water ran out within a minute. There is no fan. I wanted to get out of that place as fast as I could. There was an electrical outlet outside the barn and a fire ring very close to the barn. The bathroom is inside the barn and looks like it is used often and sounds like it is only cleaned once a week. We parked near a line of horse trailers. We had a very hard time finding the location in the dark. I’m the email I got it said there was no gate but then the host texted me a gate code. It was confusing. We didn’t see the sign for the ranch in the dark. When I called the host to help us find the location she seemed annoyed. However she did get back to me quickly when I messaged her. After a horrible night I asked to cancel and get a refund for the second night. This place was much more expensive than RV campgrounds with full hookups and immaculate restrooms. I do not recommend this site unless you are fine with dirty bathrooms and cold water showers.

This is definitely a cool place to stay if you have some horses to bring or just like being around horses :) They have a pretty big property and plenty of spots to pitch your tent. I’d suggest getting there before dark, so you can find the best spot to camp for the night. The bathroom is in the stable, so if you like having a bathroom nearby I’d suggest camping somewhere around there. The surrounding area is so gorgeous! I’d definitely recommend stopping by Morro Bay while you’re there.

Very large stables with a couple dozen horses near you. It’s mostly quiet but when there is noise (like the neighboring ranch having a party) you can definitely hear it. Megan was kind enough to allow me to use electric and water from the barn which was nicer for me. I didn’t actually meet her but I did say hello to a lady gathering eggs from the nearby coop. Overall, a sweet place to stay if your a horse lover although a bit pricey.

My husband, friends, and our dogs spent Thanksgiving at Megan’s farm. Megan was welcoming, patient (I asked her a number of questions) and responsive - even on Thanksgiving evening. The property is in a GREAT location so close to SLO, Montaña de Oro, Morro Bay, wineries and so much more. (The weather prevented us from experiencing that and so much more but it’s easy to build a great trip when staying at Megan’s place.) It was a unique experience and if you enjoy or interested in horses - this is a great spot to stay.
