We have owned this land for 20+ years. Over the years, we have acquired a menagerie of animals that make our homestead unique. We currently have a geese, several goats, three mini horses, a dozen chickens, and 2 dogs.

We are located on the eastern plains of Colorado. Sweenie's Sandbox is approximately  1.5 miles from I-76 and a half mile from Highway 6. We have about 5 acres with room to roam. When staying here you have room to bike, walk, or run. We also have a fire pit at each campsite for campers to enjoy, fire-ban permitting. Prewitt Reservoir is only 12 miles off Highway 6, where you can fish, canoe, and swim in the water if you choose. We are also not far from the Platte River. We have two friendly dogs that bark, along with a few goats, chickens, a peacock, and geese. The chickens are often free range, and the dogs do run free. No worries though, they are extremely friendly, their names are Cletus and Apollo. Our facility does not have a restroom available, so your camper or mobile home would need to be self contained. We do have an electrical hook up available. If your in need of food or supplies, it is just 5 miles into Brush, Colorado.

Our property has no restroom accommodations.  Tents are welcome, along with campers, and RV's.  We live on 5 acres so there is room for 2 sets of campers.  We have animals, goats, chickens, geese, miniature ponies, and 2 dogs.  There is a trail for walking.

The site wasn’t mowed for our arrival. Need a long extension cord to get power. Don’t mind the few trains that pass by during the night. However the owner is super nice and accommodating.

Kind and very easy going. Dogs played with theirs, and host met us upon a rival. Terrible weather so we were mostly in our camper but it would have been pleasant otherwise. Flys we’re a bit annoying and the garage light was bright all night.

Great stay. Very private with picnic table and water available. John and Sheila were wonderful. Very accommodating. Highly recommend this spot. Will definitely stay again when passing through that area.
