Gayle has a beautiful property with a pasture being used just for campers. There are firepits scattered around the large area. She welcomes guests to see the horses, chickens, cats and dogs, which roam the property. I would certainly bring earplugs, especially if you're in a tent as a loud train goes by a couple of times in the night. There is only one outhouse for all guests, which may not be enough if it gets busy. Expect rustic, but pretty with nice vibes.

We tent camped on the pasture and loved it. There were several camper vans and one trailer that stayed there as well, but there was plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The shower was surprisingly hot and had great water pressure. The animals are very friendly, several horses, dogs, and cats roaming. One of the dogs, MaeMae, joined us for breakfast every morning we were there. She was so sweet. Just watch out for fire ants!

We camped in a van and it was very quiet-slight hums of airplanes in the afternoon and very faint sounds of the gun range in the morning. Nothing to worry about if you are a light sleeper.
(This is regarding the review that complained about the noise. ).
Also, it did not smell like a farm. 😊

This was a nice stop for the night! Even in the dark we found it easily. Felt safe and was nice to see the animals.

Stayed here for two nights with my wife, 2 kids and our dog. Host was very nice and was helpful in helping us find the campground as we went in through the first gate lol others have made the same mistake, keep going down the road there’s another gate at the next left. The campground was nice, my kids enjoyed seeing the the horses and chickens. The porta potty was as clean as a porta potty can get, was nice to have available. There is a shower, although we personally didn’t use it. It is attached to the back of what seemed like where someone was living? So kinda threw us a little to see personal items in the shower like shower gel and razors. The kids did play in the playground and trampoline which was nice, they showed their age but was functional. We used the existing fire pit to build a fire both nights, make sure to bring your own wood, I did see some there but wasn’t sure if it was available to all and it was covered in carpenter ants. The ONLY thing that I think would prevent me from staying here again was the noise at night. There is a train that blares its horn all night, I read it in previous reviews but figured people were exaggerating. They were not. It is ALL NIGHT LONG and is loud, it kept us up both nights. We were considering leaving after the first night. There is a little bit of road noise that can be heard as well but that wasn’t such a big deal. All in all, good experience but be forewarned.

It was lovely! Near downtown st augustine which was perfect for us, loved that our dog was allowed off leash as he stays close anyway, got to feed the horses in the morning - shower was hot and felt safe and had enough privacy!

This is a great site for boondocking near Saint Augustine. Quiet but close to where you want to be. We rode our bikes from the campground into the city and roamed every place we wanted to see. No real frills to speak of but the description is accurate and we were quite pleased with our stay.
Lots of space for various folks to camp along a tree line. There were 3 other campers when we visited but we had plenty of room and peace.

I actually did not make it to this site, but the host was very accommodating when messaging back-and-forth. It looks amazing in the pictures and has lots of good reviews so the next time I’m in the area I will try it out for sure.

We had a very comfortable quiet stay. We didn’t read the directions clearly so make sure you drive to the second gate where you drive onto a large green space for tent to RV camping. We camped along the tree line and had a lovely night. The bathroom facility was a short walk with well lit path after dark. We definitely plan to go back.

Gayle’s property was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gayle and all the animals were super friendly and welcoming. The location is amazing, close to all St Augustine has to offer. There were others camping in the area but it still felt very spacious and private. The outdoor shower is amazing! The toilet is port-o-potty but it was super clean and sanitary. There is drinking water but you might want to bring your own if you don’t want to carry it far. I would definitely stay here again!

We were very excited to stay on this horse pasture and thought the horses and chickens were wonderful. The space was clean and felt very safe. My daughter was so happy to see the horses every morning. Unfortunately, the other reviews are so right--- there is sooooo much noise. It sounded like we turned on a loud sound machine for transportation--if it wasn't a loud train, it was a helicopter, or a plane, or a truck, or cars. It was non-stop and I thought others were exaggerating, but I didn't sleep for 3 nights. I imagine that a van or RV would be an easier experience, but for tent camping--its hard.

We enjoyed our short stay at this site. The pasture was flat and well maintained and made for easy van camping. The shower had hot water and the location was quiet yet a short drive to historic St. Augustine. We will be back in the future.

We had a lovely time at Gayle’s! The pasture is spacious and makes for easy set up. We loved the playground, including the trampoline, and the outdoor shower was peaceful. The horses and chickens were a fun bonus! Gayle is so kind and welcoming. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It was easy to park and relax around a fire after a long day of driving
No hook up or generator allowed which was ok but I did not see that written and was not aware that I couldn’t use my generator
Totally fine with that and would stay again
Gayle was responsive and very nice
I had a hot shower in the outdoor shower in the morning which was nice

We had a great time camping on Gayle’s land! The surrounding area is really pretty, the horses were fun to get to say hi to, and the other campers were quiet and respectful. Clean bathroom and nice shower

Gayle has a very nice and spacious property. It was very convenient to downtown and was easy to find and get in and out.
I thoroughly enjoyed the quietness of this property even though I wasn't there much. Great property for boondocking.

We loved staying at Gayle's property for our first time camping as a family. It was quiet and secluded. The kids loved seeing the horses and playing in the playground. We were bummed that we had to pack up a day early due to a storm but had a great time otherwise. We will for sure be back!

This was a great Lil spot for myself an pups on quick overnighter.
Nice quiet setting an plenty of rm.
The pups enjoyed the open and woods to stretch an sniff around after a 7 hr ride.
Will definitely enjoy this spot again on my frequent Va to FL Keys an back travels.

Loved staying here for 2 nights. It was spacious, quiet and surrounded by nature. It was better than most camp grounds and very close to St. Augustine. Thanks again for opening your field to travelers.

I may not have read the details clearly enough but I was not expecting a port-a-potty. It didn’t even seem that there was a sanitary way to wash hands - only hand sanitizer, I just left and found a more sanitary restroom. Even a proper composting toilet would have been better. Lovely place, with a better bathroom option it woulda been 10/10 for me. Loved how hands off Gayle was, and the camping field was plenty spacious given that there were only three groups.

The space was perfect. Wide open field with plenty of space. We parked near the road. Would recommend parking further away as there was quite a bit of road noise. Otherwise very quiet. Access to very well maintained porta john. Easy bike ride to St. Augustine.
