Ron and Vicki were absolutely amazing hosts for my very first RV camping experience. From the start, their communication was clear, friendly, and helpful, which made everything so much easier. The site itself was beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained—exactly what I was hoping for. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and felt welcome. Thanks to them, my first RV trip was a total success. Highly recommend staying at Mad Moose Ranch!

Ron and Vickies place here at The Mad Moose Ranch is beautiful. As relatively new travel trailer owners it was a breeze to access the property back in and get set up. All of the utilities are very well done, the electrical was very well set up compared to some places we've been where you're almost afraid to plug in. Ron greeted us as we pulled in and made sure we were parked optimally and went over the ground rules with us which were very minimal. The property is very quiet with virtually no road noise, very relaxing to be able to sit and listen to the nature. With 20 acres of land we were able to walk right out of the camper and hike all around exploring the native vegetation and nerding out over all the animal scat we were able to find during our hikes. The camp hosts Ron and Vicki also brought us down some fresh picked green beans and shallots which were delicious. We were able to make a short 5-6 minute drive and be in Farragut national park which is amazing and a must to see if you are staying at the ranch. They also had a porta potty on site as well with a washing station inside both of which were immaculately kept. The easy set up coupled with the serenity of the property and the excellent hosts make The Mad Moose Ranch an absolute must return for my wife and I. If you enjoy being able to take a breathe of fresh air and unwind this is the place for you. This is a fantastic place. Ron and Vickie are very welcoming and communicate well. The sites are gravel, level, wide and long. Power, water and sewer are a great plus. The camp is very quiet. If you need an out house one is available and was spotless. Close to Farragut SP for water sports, hikes etc. Road in has low vehicle traffic so evening dog walks were safe. No mosquitoes to speak of but there were some bees. Ron tries to keep them down with traps. We always carry extra traps as the yellowjacks are everywhere we tend to camp. Totally manageable. This is a camp we will return to.

A very nice site with only one neighbor which made for a lovely quiet night. No light polution interfering with the night sky which made for a great evening of star gazing.

Ron and Vicki are the most amazing hosts. They have wonderful communication and want to make sure you have a safe and fun experience! The campsite was clean and well maintained. It was easily accessible and our campsite neighbor was able to pull a huge 5th wheel into their spot! Easy directions to the spot. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Our group enjoyed our stay so much! The campsites were big and well maintained. Our own little secluded spot in the forest but it was so close to Silverwood and Farragut Park! Ron and Vicki were so helpful in helping us discover all the things to do around us. We will be back!

We are returning guests and absolutely love coming! We will be back again every year. The campsites are beautiful and meticulously kept. With a very clean and well maintained outhouse. Both sites are designed well. The full hookups are a great addition. There are a lot of bugs including bees but we didn't seem to get bit by anything through our 3 night stay.
I'm not a fan of the per night extra vehicle fee when the vehicle easily fits within our site. Other than that, we would recommend this host 👍

This place rocked! Bayview is close and gorgeous little town, Silverwood is close by, there’s a SuperFoods with literally anything you need 5 minutes away, Vicki and Ron were amazing hosts and the spot was private and perfect. Coming back again for another Silverwood/N. Idaho Trip!

Beautiful place close to a wonderful state park and all the Lake pen d’oreille fun. Ron and Vicky are some of the most welcoming hosts we have encountered so far . They are clear communicators and and treasure chest of historical stories and information. I couldn’t close without mentioning the absolut most luxurious and clean Porta potty they have on site😃

Vicki and Ron’s place was SO lovely. The spots make you feel like you're deep in the forest but you have all the hookups needed to not completely be roughing it (my ideal situation). I thought it might be weird. Sharing the spot with only one other RV, but it was totally fine. There’s plenty of space between the two spots and they were only there one night so we got to be alone in the forest for the second night. I only met Vicki but she was super sweet and greeted us warmly and even helped us back the RV in (b/c I’m terrible at it). I really hope we can come back some day.

Ron and Vicki were very warm and welcoming upon arrival! This was our last stay from a 9 day trip where we camped at different locations each night. This camp site was clean, well thought out and just what we needed to end our road trip. My son and husband walked the property in the morning and had a lot of fun exploring.
There was plenty of space between the rv's for privacy and the property is surrounded by trees. Another great thing about their property is that it is so close to the highway and main roads but doesn't feel that way at all. We really enjoyed staying here for the small amount of time we did and were grateful to meet Ron, Vicki and their daughter.

Ron and Vicki were awesome hosts. Site was easy to find and in a nice secluded area close to Silverwood Theme Park. Bare minimum amenities but nice privacy away from the hustle and bustle if you’re okay with that. Ron was a great help with my boyfriends motorcycle as well, truly great place.
