Local Farm. Close enough to socialize. Far enough away to matter. Next door to “‘More Polish Pottery” in Big Rock IL. Near Dekalb, Sandwich, Plano, Hinkley, Big Rock, Aurora, and Sugar Grove. Many sites, bars, shops, and places to eat. Touching Big Rock forest preserve. Features egg stand. Private setting. Fire pit. Multiple spots to choose from. Great views. Pet friendly. Local showers and pool at local Plano YMCA. May see farm animals up close and personal. Please leave them at site. 11 min or less to Raging Waves Water Park. It’s right down the road! An hour commute or less to Chicago. Open May 1 through Sept 30 (extended due to nice weather so if you can book it. You can stay.) The end of the season this year will be September 30th. And then we will be closed for the winter until May first. Unless otherwise specified. Usually closed for the winter months. Sugar Grove Family Fun Center up the road. Goat Yoga and Wholly Bean close by. Local forest preserve has toilets or bring your own porti-john. Bring your horses. Set up a temp spot. We have the space. And there is riding at the forest preserve right around the corner. Camp with your HORSES! We have a swing set and small child play sets. A trampoline. A tire swing. Y’all are more than welcome to use it. Just be respectful and make sure your children do not harm our land, animals, or gardens. 💕🙏

Local egg stand and fire starter kits available. Free water buckets upon request. Well water. Rustic camping. No toilets. Buckets work nicely with garbage bag. Please double bag waste or use your own Porto-toilet. Dumpster on site. May run into farm animals. Please leave them at site. Thank you! Many cafes and attractions. Small towns and raging waves water park near by.we have child play areas as long as everyone is respectful. We have a community picnic table. Neighbor is Spanish and sometimes throws cultural parties on mostly Saturday nights, between the hours of 6-11pm in summer months. Everything about the site was great. Right off the road, easy to find, and we were welcomed with fresh eggs and sticks for a fire! Kimberly was very communicative and next time we’re in Illinois we will stay at her farm again.

The location is absolutely beautiful and has a great view of the fields. The owners were super nice and even sent in tons of recommendations and left us supplies too! Definitely coming back.

Such a wonderful camping experience. Loved hearing the sound of roosters in the morning! Wonderful host and property. Plenty of privacy between campsites as well, highly recommend staying here.

Great spot with lots of open sky. Very communicative and kind host, fresh eggs and firewood were great!! Not super quiet but nothing too disruptive or loud.

Amazing hospitality from the host. A beautiful piece of land with a lovely night sky. The farm fresh eggs are a great addition. Spots are secluded enough to have some privacy but allow easy access. Host was very easy to work with and respond to all my questions with delight! Definitely recommend and will likely be back.

We had a great bonfire! It was a beautiful area where you could see the stars, and we loved the stone pit. Kimberly was great, and gave us firewood, water, and eggs from the farm. Definitely recommend

Absolutely amazing spot to camp at! And the camp host is such a nice person, definitely recommend it. Area is quiet and peaceful, location isn’t too far from Chicago either! 10/10

I thought our host was thoughtful in her set up for the campsite. Our site was tucked away but very easy to access. It was also right next door to a cute pottery shop which is just very charming. The campsite was flat and there was no debris getting in the way of setting up a tent. There is even a little dog park on her property that our dog had a blast playing at in the morning. Our host supplied treats and toys and poop bags and she even filled a little kiddie pool which was very thoughtful. When we asked for info about Big Rock State Park our host gave thorough directions about how to get to the park and access the trails. The only bad part of our stay was that her neighbors had an obnoxiously loud party that lasted until midnight. Apparently, they never told her ahead of time that this was happening. Our host is in no way able to control the actions of the neighbors so I don't want to diminish the thought she has clearly put into organizing a good camp experience. But the reality is that my husband and I basically couldn't sleep at all until well after midnight because the neighbors were so loud. This seemed like bad luck on our part and hopefully will not happen during your stay! I'd recommend this campsite and my advice to the host would be to check in with the neighbors to see if they are planning any more very loud parties.

Great little secluded area with plenty of space for my car, our 4person tent, and the various accoutrement always taken camping. A little tough to find, but not bad - I actually liked the additional seclusion that afforded. It was just me and my son and we had a great time. No complaints!

The campsite was large enough to park my trailer and fit my smallish SUV, which was great! Kimberly left a large bucket of water to use and fresh eggs!!! Very cool. It's exactly as represented in the profile and I slept well in the rain.

Camping here was a great experience on a long journey. The location is quiet and in beautiful farmlands. The actual grounds are well maintained and did not have many bugs. Owner was super communicative and very nice to talk to. I felt very accommodated and like I could relax. Would go here again if I’m ever back.

This is a great little spot. The host provides you with some kindling and water. There are plenty of spots for firewood in the area. Great place to bring the dogs. There is a dog park on site. Also, waking up to farm fresh eggs was pretty spectacular.
