I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Papa’s Sweet Corn campsite which is only a short drive from Geneva, and it was an experience to remember. Nestled within an enchanting apple orchard and a sweet cornfield, this campsite offers a unique blend of natural beauty and tranquility.
The towering, mature trees provided ample shade throughout the day, creating a cool and relaxing environment. At night, the low traffic area allowed for an unobstructed view of the stars, making stargazing a magical experience. The tire swing and swinging bench added a touch of rustic charm and fun to our stay.
The campsite itself was impeccably clean, including the outhouse, which was a pleasant surprise. The gated entrance offered an extra layer of privacy and was easily accessible. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind, and considerate. Their communicative nature and willingness to help made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Overall, this campsite exceeded all my expectations. The serene environment, combined with the thoughtful amenities and outstanding hospitality, made for a truly wonderful experience. I highly recommend this campsite and look forward to returning in the future.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Brian's property. Within seconds of our arrival, Brian enthusiastically greeted us and provided an overview of the grounds, which were beautiful. The campsite is right next to an apple orchard, corn field and a short walk from the horse stables. There was ample firewood available along with a fire pit and Brian surprised us with a couple of ears of sweet corn. Would be quick to recommend this site to anyone and hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

Brian and his wife were very accommodating for what we needed on our way traveling through their neighborhood! I reached out last minute and showed up late and Brian made it all as easy as possible for us. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy their beautiful property and spend more time in the apple orchard and around the horses… definitely will be staying there again on our way through the next time!

We endured a down pour of rain and the grounds did not flood. It was our second time there and our host Brian and Carol are the most gracious people we've met in a very long time. They have a way of making you feel like family. I would recommend this camp site without any reservations.

This was our second trip to Papas Sweet Corn Patch ~ the Host Brian and his Wife are the nicest people you could ever meet, and we now call them our Friends. We went horse back riding ~ ate the BEST corn ever and drank the best tasting Apple Juicee liqueur. We will be back, our plan is to attend ever other weekend and we will encourage others to attend. I Love Horse back riding !!!!

Absolutely loved staying here! It was so quiet, has a lot of trees to hang a hammock on, and camping next to a small orchard and some corn fields was so relaxing. There was even a little primitive bathroom and hose to rinse off if you need it. For someone who is used to camping miles into the woods with no sign of civilization, this felt like glamping but it was absolutely wonderful. The site is just minutes from town but the quiet makes you feel so much farther. The host was so kind and even gave me some fresh picked sweet corn which was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this to anyone!

Brian and Chris were lovely!! The campsite is off their farm, where they grow apples and corn and raise horses. It’s nice to walk through the orchard and see the horses. They shared corn with us for our dinner which was so sweet. There was only one other group when we camped, so it felt quiet and secluded, but if all sites were rented, it may be a bit crowded. All around, we had a great experience and hope to be back!

We loved our stay here! Brian and his wife were so sweet and accommodating. We pitched our tent, not where you see most of the photos with the fallen tree, but back behind the last row of Apple trees. We pulled the picnic table into the Apple orchard and grilled the delicious sweet corn given to us by Brian from his farm. There were three other families camping in that main area by the tree, but we had our own private nook which was perfect for us. I felt like we were camping in a vineyard, it was lovely. Surrounding farm land and nearby cemetery was also so pretty.

Brian was a great host! We got in a little late but we immediately felt welcomed. He put together a small fire pit for us and gave us some corn to roast. We took a walk through the corn rows in the morning and got to pet the horses. Overall a hassle free and peaceful experience.

We loved staying on this beautiful farm. The spot is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing evening after a long drive. It is easily accessible from I90 and we received a warm welcome from our host. He even picked us some sweet corn that we grilled over an open fire. It was the perfect evening as we travelled cross country.

Quiet tract of land between an apple orchard and corn field below plenty of stars. Farmer Brian gave us complementary firewood and a few ears of corn to roast over the fire. Perfect stop on our way to Wisconsin.

This was my first experience using Hipcamp and I can only hope that every one in the future will be as good as this stay! Brian was beyond accommodating and even shared some delicious corn with us that we were able to cook over the fire. The view was amazing and we felt extremely safe. It’s worth noting that the toilet is a bit primitive, but it’s still a step up from having to go dig a hole in the woods :) 10/10 I would recommend this location to future campers!

Brian’s place was beautiful and quiet . Brian and his wife were both were hospitable and helpful in every way. The place is amazing and a way to escape from the city life. I would stay here again.

11/10 - so great, so worth it. We arrived from Chicago on Friday around 4:30 pm, and Brian was there to greet us with a quick lay of the land and some cider. The property was well manicured, tucked in with 1000 apple trees and multiple rows of corn, and the horse pasture was paces away - made for a great morning stroll with some coffee. Our dog had the time of her life as well. Above ground fire pits, picnic tables, and potable water is available too. Bathroom and shower set-up is as good as it can be as it is primitive. There's a winery that's a minute drive, mountain biking 40 minutes away and a grocery store close by.

This site was amazing. The area was extremely clean and well-kept. The hosts were amazingly welcoming, taught us about their farm and shared some home made cider even - their openness and generosity was astounding. We had free run of the site so the privacy was nice too. There was a camp toilet and no shower which was expected and worked very well, Brian made sure we had water to wash hands etc. We stayed for one night- myself and my 5 year old son. The weather was warm but the farm had such a great breeze so we were comfortable. At night we sat and watched hundreds of fireflies - it was magical!! :) In the morning we went to the Beloit farmers market which was adorable and affordable. We picked up so many treats from soap to veggies and even a snow cone on a hot day. It was just over an hour from Chicago so a close trip from home to get away! We will definitely be back.

The campsite was picturesque! Brian was affable and attentive. He checked on us a few times, and even brought us apple cider from the orchard. The camp is close to a town, so we didn't have to drive far to get to amenities. Perfect destination, or stop on a long road trip.

It was such a joy to stay here. When I arrived, it was super windy and was about to rain. Brian greeted me and showed me where it might be best to pitch my tent out of the wind... Which happened to be in his apple orchard. What a unique place to pitch a tent! In the brief moment I interacted with Brian, he is caring and thoughtful. The apple cider he offered me was amazing with my breakfast the next morning. It was relaxing to sit for a bit and watch the horses. The way the tree fell is truly one of a kind and invokes imagination. I'm so grateful to have spent a relaxing weekend here.

Brian was very accommodating, welcoming and easy to contact! His directions were clear and easy to follow and he even showed us to the site when we arrived! I highly recommend this spot to anyone staying in the area, it’s a peacefull and cozy spot between an orchard and a corn field. Brian gave us a couple of freshly picked honey crisp apples for the road and they were delicious!
