We had such a great time at Abby’s campsite! She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, even providing firewood and water, which made things super easy and convenient. The property had a peaceful vibe, and a bunch of friendly dogs came up to say hello — they were all so sweet and well-behaved, it really added to the charm of the place. You can tell Abby puts thought and care into hosting. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly spot to unwind!

This was a great stopping point on our road trip to MI. Beautiful site next to a gorgeous creek! We had it all to ourselves. Abby was great at communicating and the firewood and water onsite were very thoughtful amenities. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a great time at this Hipcamp! The hosts were super hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed—they really thought of all the little things, which made it so easy and comfortable. The views were gorgeous, and we even had some fun visits from a few friendly pets, which my kids absolutely loved. Such a fun and relaxing spot. Can’t wait to come back!

This was such a beautiful experience! Abby has everything thought out to make your trip easier. The creek was great, the trails were plentiful and gorgeous, and she even showed us around her garden. You can tell Abby cares a lot about your time here and it was greatly appreciated.

We loved this site! Abby was wonderful. The spot we pitched was beyond our expectations. The tour was informational. The restrooms were clean. Firewood was a dry clean burn. There were trails to explore to our hearts content! And the creek, nothing can compare.
We honestly were not expecting as much as we received. The people that do live close (ish) were very kind and also helpful. We were treated better there then anywhere we have ever pitched before. We were taken by surprise how absolutely wonderful our stay was and the beauty of the place! Thank you Abby, you and your partner are doing amazing work. We plan on coming back after winter.

My friends and I had an incredible time at this Hipcamp site. The tranquility of the place is unmatched, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The trees are absolutely stunning, providing a beautiful canopy and a sense of being truly immersed in nature.
One of the highlights for us was the isolation. It’s rare to find a place that offers such a perfect balance of seclusion and natural beauty. The host was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Odie, the giant Labrador. He was a delightful companion, even though he did manage to steal some of our food! His presence added a charming touch to our experience.
Overall, this site is perfect for anyone seeking real isolation camping. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

We loved this simple getaway, even after having to set up in the rain! The campsite is simple but has nice options with sun and shade. We normally ate breakfast in the sun and then we laid out in the sun in the late afternoon. The creek is a short walk down the hill, and it’s a beautiful view not common in Indiana. Shallow water (~2ft when we were there), but beautiful nonetheless. The toilet setup was a huge bonus. We loved our time this past Labor Day weekend!

Beautiful setting under a mix of pines and hardwoods with small meadow and Big Pine Creek. Quiet, peaceful nights. Friendly, quiet visits from neighbor's Dog. Abby's communication was very helpful and appreciated.

Had a great camping experience at Abby’s land! Property was quiet, serene and had everything promised in the description. The host was polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about farming. If you’re looking to camp without the noise and loud partying that’s becoming increasingly common at big campgrounds, then this is the place for you!

This was a great experience camping on Abby’s property. The sites are secluded with great views and plenty to do in the area. I’m sure that it can get busy if there are multiple grounds staying in the area, but we were lucky and had the whole place to ourselves! Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get outside and enjoy nature. We will definitely be back!

I had a great time doing my first solo camping trip on this property. The restroom set up was super nice to have, clean & well-kept. Water and firewood were both provided onsite, along with a little cabinet of odds and ends you might forget, like a lighter or cardboard for fire starter. It made my stay SO convenient.
Having chairs and a couple cute fire pit spots to pick from was really nice.
The neighbors down the way were hooting & hollering their fair share until about 11pm, but it wasnt bad. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe alone in this space.
I had breakfast with Otis, the big, beautiful gentle giant of a dog that roams around the area. He was SUPER polite and sweet and very happy to share my breakfast but only ever took what was offered to him. Then he laid down by my fire while I packed up and he walked trails with me for about half an hour after.
This camp is next to the entrance to a lovely set of trails..take a picture of the map, it was very helpful.
This will definitely be a place I book again when I want to camp somewhere not too far from home.

Great campsite. Went with a couple friends and really enjoyed the place. The walk by the creek is peaceful and relaxing. And the friendly dog that roams the campsite named Oddy is the goodest boy you’ll ever meet. 10/10. Thank you Abby for the wonderful experience.

Very nice place, great for stargazing bortle 3 sky(light pollution level) which is about as good as your get in Indiana. We brought a small telescope and it was amazing you could even see the Milky Way with naked eyes. I'm the open area by camp and your car's they also have a open prairie for more open skies we didn't go there because we would have to carry gear out to it in foot but the open area was pretty big. Nice camp site under pine trees, 2 sites rent both of you want place to yourself, River you can swim free firewood and water plus a composting toilet. Over all excellent

It's really nice, private and primitive. There are lots of good spots for tents, either under the trees with lots of shade, or out in the grassy area which gets lots of sun and is great for a picnic and badminton, volleyball, and other games that need space. They have a big jug of water in the front and a big bottle of hand sanitizer next to it. We used more than half of our firewood the 1st night, so we messaged Abby, and they brought us more firewood. The short hike to the creek isn't too bad, and when we walked into the creek, it was chilly until you acclimate. That creek was only about knee to mid-thigh deep with a modest or slightly strong current that's perfect for traveling on using floaties or kayaks and yet still being able to stand up and walk against the current. This site is also pretty good, not perfect, for walking around barefoot.
Note:
You pull in where the sign is and drive straight through the grass path.
You'd have to book the 2nd site for guaranteed privacy.
A few friendly locals might hike through the general area, and you'll probably get visits from the neighbor's dog Odie who looks like he expects to be fed.
Lastly, the composting toilet is basically crapping into a 5 gallon bucket that you will cover each time with scoops of sawdust, which could fill up fast if you have a lot of people, and you want to make sure you pee before using it.

We had a very nice stay! It was a perfect getaway to the woods, with thoughtful toilets and a nice swimming spot that is well marked with signs on the path. We did not have service with TMobile, but we enjoyed the opportunity to unplug in nature. I recommend and would love to return!

We loved the seclusion of camping here. it was very peaceful with so much wild life! Unfortunately the creek was to high for swimming but that just gives us an excuse to go back!! Very affordable for us being a young family.

All of the basics are well-considered and there is super easy access to the river which varied from 6-24” deep in places. Hiking trails nearby include an unusual ravine (Crow’s Grove) that supports old growth pines. Owls, coyotes, and a few bats to enjoy at night. Abby was helpful and responsive, I look forward to coming back!

This place was simply amazing. Nicely shaded, firewood service and a wide creek perfect for lounging in on a very hot day. Two of Abby's neighbors even let my two sons and I borrow their tube's without even asking for them.

Beautiful setting, very quiet, awesome host. I brought my kids, 10 and 8, and they had a great time floating in the (more like a river) creek just down the hill from the tent. Highly recommend!

I loved camping on Abby’s land. There was access to a wonderful creek and it is about 15 minutes away from Indiana’s largest waterfall. Very cool to hike nearby trails too! Very fun trip me and my girlfriend loved it!

We were the only campers for two nights on Abby’s land. Loved the cool shade and whispering of the tall pines.
We have lived abroad and are into dry latrines. Abby’s is very cleverly set up and explained; you won’t have any problem adapting to it! It is such an asset having a latrine when camping! Thankful too for the three gallon jug of drinking water!
Can’t see or hear the creek from the campsites. Wished we could have experienced kayaking / canoeing on such a lovely stream. There Is a very small access point to the river, a short hike away from the camp. Not sure I could carry even a light weight kayak down to the creek/river on that steep of a trail. Unfortunately, there are no local outfitters.
