1 RV/tent site
I have a very nice little campsite which I put together specifically for HipCamp because I have a little camper myself and find the site useful. This site is best for small RV's, Van campers, etc. The drive is all crushed gravel with colored pebbels on top. There is NO bathroom or pump out facility on site. I do have an RV Pedestal with 110 and 30amp service, well water on a 100' hose, a nice set of string lights on a dimmer and timer switch above and around some of the camping spot. I also have a firepit as well an octagnal picnic table. The property is located right off Scenic and Historic US 12 with the South Shore train tracks and the calumet bicycle trail just to the North. The property is in Beverly Shores which sits inside the Dunes National Park. There is a gas station, a liquor store, and a beach supply store and sometimes the BEST darn pizza truck and the historic South Shore trains station (goes between South Bend IN and Chicago) just .35 miles down the road. There is also a great bar and restaurant called The Goblin and The Grocery, .35 miles down the road. .35 miles down the road is the "BIG" intersection where all this is (it's all actually very small and rural) and at that intersection you can head north, exactly one mile to get to some of the prettiest beaches in the country. Laugh all you want, you won't believe how gorgeous the beaches are on the SE Tip of Lake Michigan. I'm happy to give you insight on where to go to find yourself by yourself on a secluded dune somewhere awesome. The Calumet bike path is right beyond the train tracks and can take you to the east, past Mount Baldy, Michigan City and into Michigan or you can go the other route and go through the park and head towards Chesterton and Hobart. I live in a special part of the country and an even more special part of Indiana. If you were teleported to this area, you would NEVER guess you're in Indiana. I love this area and I'm excited to share it with you!essentially a flat pebble parking lot, slightly sloping to the north, very slightly, nothing some levelers can't fix.
