Camping like it was meant to be! Come stay with us and explore one of the largest privately owned certified forest in Indiana. Many of our sites are spread out so far you will feel like you are the only ones here. We have three 30AMP electric sites and one with 20AMP service, with the remaining sites all primitive. Over 5 miles of hiking trails, and if you prefer cycling, local roads are part of the Two Rivers on Two Wheel bike route. If Kayaking is your thing, explore the Eel River, or the Tippecanoe. Site 5 Little Charlie

Little Charlie was once a neighboring Indian reservation and part of the regions historic 7 Sections. Site 5, Little Charlie, (non-electric) is our first primitive site in what we call the upper campground. We only recently opened up this space for campers. Little Charlie is nestled in a clump of trees with some wild shrubs to give a sense of privacy. Tent size campsite only with a fire ring.

Site 12 Deer Crossing

Deer Crossing, Site#12 (no electricity) has been one of our most popular sites in what we call the lower campground, or basically, in the Walnut Valley. Deer Crossing was named after the first night a camper stayed in this location and the deer crossed through the site. It's a great site for a couple of tents, a hammock, or a small camper. It's complete with fire ring and a picnic table so you can fully enjoy life outdoors.

Site 11 The Meadow

Site 11, The Meadow, (no electricity) is a sun lover and sky gazer paradise. Perched on top of a grassy knoll at the back of the campground, The Meadow gives you full view of the night sky, sunset, and the beautiful warm sunshine. Site 11 is fully remote, with no electricity, but is accessible to travel trailers, Class C, B and smaller Class A motorhomes. The Meadow is the closest site to the wooded trails that await the adventurers.

Site 10 The Cul-de-Sac

Site 10, The Cul-de-Sac, (no electricity) is our most private, remote site on the property. Some might say it's the end of the line, some may say the last stop to nowhere, but we say it's perfect when you really want to feel like you are roughing it! You can drive to the Cul-de-Sac, with car, van, Jeep, and even small camper if it's intended for off road. Site 9 is pretty far from the outhouse, so you may want to plan accordingly, as it is about a 5-minute hike. The Cul-de-Sac has a rock fire ring, and to cook over the fire, we recommend bringing your own rack.

Site 4 South Shore

Site 4, South Shore (electric), is a favorite for many of our campers, and one of my favorite sites in the upper campground. From South Shore, you can catch beautiful sunrises and catch great star gazing of the southern night sky. If you love a mix of sun and shade, South Shore is perfect for you. There is a lot of space to spread out, hang a couple of hammocks and listen to the breeze whisper through the tree canopy. South Shore is great for tent campers as well as larger RV's and travel trailers. Site 4 is set up with electricity, a picnic table and a fire ring.

Site 13 Sunset Blvd

Site 13, Sunset Blvd (no electricity) is the perfect spot to catch the Indiana sun sinking below the tree line as the firefly's light up the surrounding field. Sunset Blvd is perfect for tents campers, pop-ups, or a small group of van campers. Another one of our primitive sites, it gets plenty of shade all day long, giving way to sun and stars as the day comes to a close. You will see deer, hawks, the occasional eagle and plenty of squirrels scurrying about.

Site 8 The Mint

Site #8 (non-electric) is fittingly named for the exhilarating smell of fresh wild mint that surrounds this private little site. Room for one tent and a couple of hammocks, it's a perfect site for two who enjoy being surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors. You can back right into The Mint and call it home for the weekend, complete with fire ring. Don't forget to bring the white rum to make a wild mint mojito.

Site 14 Deadpool

Deadpool, Site 14 (no electricity) sits on what was once a shallow pond that caught runoff from the fields. When we put in grass waterways the water soaked into the ground before it reached the pond, and since then has dried up. Now, Deadpool is a great place for larger groups of friends and families. Deadpool is accessible by car, camper vans, and small travel trailers that can traverse some undulating trails. Site 14 gives you a great view of the sunset as well as the northern night sky in a very popular remote site. Deadpool has a rock fire ring, so be sure to bring your own cooking set up.

Site 7 Oriole Alley

Site 7, Oriole Alley, (no electricity) is in heart of the Walnut Valley. A wonderful site to sit back and look for the colorful orioles that frequently fly through the valley. Site 7 has a rock ring fire pit and is completely primitive. It is a large site that can accommodate several tents, or travel trailer, or smaller RV.

Site 1 Northern Lights

Site 1 - Northern Lights, (30 AMP Electric) sits on the edge of the campground where you have the best view of the northern night sky. During the summer, you can catch the sunrise and sunset, yet have full shade and usually a gentle breeze all day long. You can say hi to the cows that will come close as they graze but remember not to touch the fence. Site 1 has electric hook up and a fire ring.

Site 3 Summer Breeze

Site 3, Summer Breeze, (30 Amp electric) has two lanes to pull in your big rig, or bring some friends and have two units' side by side. Site 3 is located in the middle of what we call the upper campground. Easy to access, level ground, close to the pavilion and the outhouse and electric hook ups. Summer Breeze almost always has a breeze and is cooled by the full canopy of white oaks, walnut trees and other native hardwoods.

Site 2 Milly's Way

Site 2, Milly's Way, (30 AMP electric) was once the homestead for the head cook who ran our family restaurant. Close to the entrance of the campground, you will have one of the best sunrise views on the property. Milly's Way has electric and full access to the only water spigot in the campground. Located next to the pavilion, you and your family can spread out and relax. Milly's Way also has a picnic table and a fire ring.

Walnut Valley Realm is my favorite camping spot. We got rained on for almost 7 hours, and still had a blast! Brian is a fantastic host!!

Kicked off our camping season perfectly! We had the entire place, talk about peace and quiet 🤩 If you’re looking for gorgeous sunsets/sunrises, black out zones and old wood hiking absolutely visit Walnut Valley. This was the perfect view spot for the Pink Full Moon 🌕

Walnut Valley is the place to go! I tent camped with my dogs and barely saw another person or camp site. It felt like camping in the remote wilderness but easy to find. Brian was very helpful, showing me to my site and bringing extra wood. The hiking trails on property are clearly marked and varied from meadows to woods, hills to flat. The entire property was immaculately well kept, you could tell Brian puts in the effort. Definitely going back!

What a great spot. The Cul de Sac is definitely a more remote site but I came out to do some hiking so that was exactly what I was looking for. The trails were well maintained, even with soggy weather and I found a few other sites I'd like to spend a few nights at next. Clean sites, beautiful property and if I'd had any questions I have no doubt Brian would have had an answer.

We loved the open space between sites. The campgrounds were very clean and welcoming. Brian stopped by to introduce himself and welcome us. We arrived early after asking permission so we could hike the 5 miles of trails in the woods. We saw deer, turkey and lots of birds. Great place to relax.

We had an amazing time. Brian was respectful of privacy, but on the spot when called. We had an amazing, quiet, peaceful weekend. The trails were perfect for de-stressing without the mountain climbing. We will be back.

I would like to thank Brian for sharing such a amazing place to get away. This was my second time there and we tried a new spot Sunset 13 was awesome. My daughter got to see deer and just walk around in the woods. Nice no stress get away. I enjoyed that Brian stop by on our last day just to chat. Great host and great spot . Thanks Tory and Victoria

Site 9 Hanks Hide A Way
The place is very well maintained, the host is nice and will guide you to the site, and provide maps. Firewood was provided. The yellow trail was well maintained. Taking this hike will treat you to good birding, deer and chipmunk watching. This property is an important wildlife habitat and is a wonderful look at the real Indiana between all of the grain fields.

We loved our stay at Walnut Valley! We were in an RV so we stayed at one of the sites that had power (site 4). There was plenty of space between us and the next site. The trails are great and perfect for a medium hike, outhouse was well kept and clean, and Brian was an awesome host. We needed a little more firewood and Brian was right there to help, it was really nice to not have to leave to get more. Next time we come we want to check out the primitive spots, they looked amazing from our walk around the site. We’ll definitely be back.

Was an extremely beautiful property, electricity at our site, nice well water not far away. Brian was extremely nice and accommodating, he had just built a really nice outhouse and i can't wait until we can come back

We had a wonderful time camping at Walnut Valley for a reunion with family & friends! We loved the privacy, beauty in the land, and kids esp loved the hikes and bridge over the creek. And of course s’mores around the campfire :-) We didn’t have great phone signal (didn’t bother us!) so were glad to have the site map in advance so we could find our way around. Thanks for sharing your beautiful land with us, Brian!

Site 3 Summer Breeze
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Brian’s amazing property. Site 3 site was huge, peaceful and serene. It was nestled under a grove of mature trees. Even though it was located right off the country road, I kept saying to my husband, “Listen. No cars!” We chose to stay at Brian’s mostly because of his forested property with miles of hiking trails. We enjoyed our daily hikes through the woods. We checked out the other camping sites which we found nicely spaced apart and exceptionally maintained. We met another couple 2 sites down who were super friendly, as was Brian whom we met right before leaving. That said, we communicated with Brian often through Hipcamp or text and he made sure we had everything we needed. All in all, this was a 10/10 for us and exceeded our expectations.

Another great weekend in the books. The only reason I hate to recommend this site, is I prefer to gate-keep it for myself! This is a great camping site, as are all of them at Walnut Valley Realm.

Another wonderful stay at Brian's place! Tried a new site this round and was incredibly pleased. The Mint is perfectly private but not cut off. It was me and the dog, and he had a great time right off the bat. We enjoyed a great walk around the grounds before dinner and then a nice peaceful evening. There were other campers, but Brian's sites are spaced out so you don't feel like you are crashing someone else's party. Thanks again Brian for another great stay.

Site 11 The Meadow
Brian is the greatest, there's that. The meadow site was superb, there's that. And there are a bunch of other sites that look excellent too... there's that. Cell coverage (Spectrum); hiking trails; solitude; there's all of that. When it comes to Hipcamps, Brian's is a ten out of ten.

Site 2 Milly's Way
Milly’s way #2 was a beautiful campsite! We enjoyed having the pavilion for cooking, eating and storing things during the rain. We enjoyed the amenities of electricity and water! The site was large enough to play frisbee with my dog and let my cat explore on a long leash. It was clean, close to the outhouse and the sun in the morning was warm and lovely. Brian was the most gracious host, brought us apples from his tree and brought his tools over when we needed it. The outhouse was always stocked and clean. The whole campsite was very peaceful, even through an holiday weekend. Our favorite part was the expansive land and well-maintained trails. I will always remember our sunset hike through the wetland/meadows. He has a little slice of heaven and he is awesome for sharing it! I would highly recommend this campground to any camper, seasoned or not.
