Truly magical location. The space itself is simple and clean, the bed is comfortable (we brought our own sleeping bags.) Already thinking about when I might come back in the summer.

TIP: its totally doable to stay in the cabin in the winter, but a portable / battery powered space heater would be a very good idea to bring.

I loved staying at Quentin’s Treehouse on Lake Garfield. It was quite the experience in October as the views of fall foliage were abundant and beautiful. Quentin was an excellent host and made sure we had a heated electric blanket as the nights are chilly in October. He made it a special experience for us, and I would love to visit again if it isn’t already booked. We whole-heartedly recommend this site :))

We had an amazing time at the treehouse. It was the perfect Berkshires getaway to officially end the summer. We brought our kayaks and had a beautiful chilly morning paddle. There are paddle boards provided as well. Love the large table, it gave us plenty of room to be able to cook. The hammock was incredibly comfortable. Quentin was very kind and accommodating. We wish we had stayed longer.
Check the weather and bring adequate bedding. It’s colder by the lake than you’d expect. The stairs to the treehouse are pretty steep, so keep that in mind. WiFi wasn’t a great connection but we didn’t need it anyway. Great time to unplug. Bring your own chairs if you wish to sit upright. The chairs at the site are very comfortable but more for “lounging”

Absolutely wonderful and Quentin was great to deal with. While the lake can be lively with boat action, they seem to kinda respect “curfew” times making the evenings and mornings super peaceful. swimming was lovely and the dogs had a ball. Would def. Go back as it beats all the hassle u have to deal with in a state Park.

I loved Quentin’s treehouse. We slept great and the water was just perfect. We went out on the paddleboards to enjoy the lake. Only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. Quentin offered us fresh spring water when he saw us outside cooking dinner, which was very nice of him. 10/10, hidden gem in the Berkshires. Already planning a date to come back.

Our weekend in the Tree House was fantastic! Quentin is very laid back and welcoming. Great host! It’s such a unique experience to sleep in a tree house in a bed, suspended by rope from its roof. The tree house is smack on beautiful Lake Garfield. It really is a beautiful lake. My partner and I relaxed, swam, paddle boarded (on boards provided by Quentin) , cooked on the fire 🔥 pit and just made ourselves at home in our little tree house. The lake water is pristine and the water temp warm. It’s quiet on the lake. Most times, all we heard and saw was nature. We took a quick trip into Great Barrington (only 15 minutes away) on Saturday for lunch and check out a really cool used record shop. But we didn’t stay in town for long. We wanted to be back on the lake. Thank you Quentin for sharing your property with us. Definitely plan on coming back next summer.

This Tree house and location will set your soul right. The peacefulness of this place is magical.
The host Quentin is lovely and if you need him he's there.
We came here to soothe our tattered souls from a number of bumps we recently endured on the road of life.
We shut down, turned off every possible way for the world to reach us and RECHARGED OURSELVES. We knew we could no longer pour from our empty cups and THIS was the perfect place to do our reset.
Today were back in the world with our new found goals and souls in check and this place reminded us that we need to take care of us!!
Thank you for the MAGIC Quentin that you shared with us. I know as a host you never know why people come and what the goal is but for us it was salvation.
We would highly recommend this spot for anyone needing to reconnect to the beauty of life.

This site is perfect for a nice lake weekend. You have a private dock and a ton of space for fire and cooking. Quentin is a great host, and Lake Garfield is beautiful, and there are many great hiking trails as well within a 5-10 minute drive.

I had a great time staying at Quentin’s treehouse! It’s in a beautiful spot right on the water with amazing views of the lake. The spot had everything I needed— a toilet, spot for a fire, comfy chairs and tables for preparing food. Quentin even set up some lights because I was getting in after dark. Would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!

We loved our our one night stay at Quentin’s treehouse. The site itself is gorgeous! A beautiful lake that definitely provides the serene ambiance. I never communicated with the host at all which has not been the case in my other bookings. The treehouse is nice; you do need to bring your own bedding/matress is not good to sleep in. You need to bring your own cushion. And the stairs were really steep.

We really enjoyed our time at the lakeside treehouse. It was great to be able to swim and take paddle boards out on the lake. It was Labor Day weekend, so there was some noise from powerboats in the afternoon, but the night and morning were nice and quiet.

It's an absolutely beautiful spot! The treehouse was great. My girlfriend does get motion sickness, but she slept like a baby in the swing bed! It's also right next to the Appalachian trail. The only things to be aware of is bring your own bedding and pillows. It does not have a "real" toilet, it's more like a boat toilet. I would definitely recommend this place!

Quentin’s place is a little slice of Heaven only 2.5 hours from NYC. The lake is serine, and the tree house is perfect for a solo getaway. He let me use his stand up paddle board which was a nice way to get out on the lake. The Appalachian Trail is close for hiking, and Great Barrington is close for supplies and bustle. If I were to go back (which I hope I do!) I would make sure to bring the following because I found them necessary:
My own pots/pans/utensils for grilling
Lighter and charcoal fuel
Pillows
Extra Blankets, padding, and a sleeping bag for chilly nights
