Do you need to recharge from the busyness of life? Nature’s beauty and simplicity awaits you at Our Daily Bread Campground. Cradled on almost 200 acres of rolling hills, farmland, quiet valleys, picturesque woodlands the scenes of nature will ennoble the senses. The shimmering waters of Miller lake adorn the property’s southern border. Deer, wild turkey, swans, sandhill cranes, beaver, and occasional fox are but few of the residents who live here. Come and enjoy the peace and serenity, rest and relaxation of Our Daily Bread. We offer a place for families and individuals to come and feel safe and enjoy some quiet time... away from the hustle and bustle of life. We have lots of trails for hiking, a playground for kids, and lots of seating areas to rest and relax. We are a alcohol and smoke free campus, and don't allow foul language, parties or any disturbances to other guests.... as we value the satisfaction and peaceful experience here for all our guests. We do not allow pets for our cabin guests, and we're also a smoke and alcohol free campus. We have boats for rent (kayaks, canoes, row boats, paddle boats). This is not for everyone, but if you want to come and commune with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet, then this is the spot for you!

Wilderness Campsites

The view is arguable, one of the prettiest you’ll see in SW Michigan—pristine wilderness conditions with little to no light pollution. Hike in about 600 ft to the Wilderness campsites. Choose from designated campsites that are hidden up in the woods with campfire rings close by. We have chopped wood available at each campfire. Hike into this beautiful, pristine camp area that gives a stunning view of the wetlands, lake, woods, and more natural beauty, with little to no imprint. If you want to experience “extreme” camping, then this is for you. This is not recommended for the faint of heart. This site is only available for tent camping; it's inaccessible to vehicles. We don't allow 4-wheelers; foot traffic only. Showers and outdoor privies are available 600 ft from sites, or campers can choose to use designated areas for catholes. Playground is available for use, located 600 ft away. Beach area is also available 1200 ft from Wilderness campsites. We are an alcohol, cigarette, and drug-free campus. Our campsites sit right on the lake overlooking the water! This rustic campsite is located on the grounds of Our Daily Bread Christian Campground and has been described by previous guests as one of the quietest places on earth. This is not for everyone; we don't have permanent campers, so it may just be your party at the camp, although we usually have cabin guests or fishermen on the grounds. We have outdoor privies (pit toilets) and a shower house for use at no extra fee. We have the old-fashioned hand pumps for water... it's well water, which is safe for drinking or cooking. There's lots of space for running around and playing, with a sandy beach area nearby and a rope swing for kids. We also have a volleyball net and a basketball court next to it. There's also a playground with swings, a slide, and a deck with seating nearby to watch little ones from. We have rental boats available (rowboats, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes). Just reserve with us ahead to ensure it’s available for your group. Pitch your tent and listen to the natural sounds of nature... bird songsters, beavers in the water, deer passing through, or the chirping of the frogs at night. At night, it's pitch dark, and the only light is your campfire. The view is breathtaking, and the colors in the fall are worth the trip... it's a Norman Rockwell scene! We have nine separate sites in this area, group campsites, and cabins throughout our 200 acres of camp. We have the space to accommodate a larger group for family gatherings, church outings, or a friend trip.... just let us know! FYI, we're a Christian campground and do not allow smoking or alcohol on the premises. We do have some restrictions /rules for our furry guests, so please inform us of the type of dog and weight, or refer to our "Rules" for more information. Re: check out times, we're very flexible, and allow extra time at no additional cost as long as campsite is not booked. Thank you.

Do you need to destress? Unwind? Then come to Our Daily Bread Campground, a small piece of heavenly peace & quiet, or as several guests have referred to as one of the quietest place on earth! Our goal is to provide a place for guests to come and debrief, relax and take a break from the busyness of life, to get away from the city, the noise, the lights and see the darkness, stars, wildlife... deers, variety of birds, beaver huts, and enjoy hiking the different terrain... trails deep up in the woods where no one can hear you; get your workout walking our hills, or just walk a more gently trail; take a boat on our lake, a nice view from your cabin. These are newly remodeled, quiet, peaceful cabins nestled up in the woods overlooking our 80-acre lake. Has queen size bed, sofa pull out bed (full), & sleeps 4. It has kitchenette, bathroom, AC, heat, microwave, toaster, fridge, ceiling fan, work space/desk, & free wifi. Also private deck with grill, stove eye. Our camp sits on 200 acres w/ miles of trails, rolling hills, woodlands, farmland, & lots of beauty. No smoking, alcohol or pets allowed on the premises. We provide linen, towels & complimentary rowboat. This is not for everyone, but if you're looking for a little quiet and peace in pure beauty surroundings... we're it!

Lakeview Peaceful Retreat

This is a quiet and peaceful spot to getaway and reflect. The space is clean, quiet, and quaint, include air conditioner and heat. Your spot includes a private deck with gas grill with stove eye for cooking (gas is included), with chairs and table to dine outside and view the lake and surrounding nature; kitchenette inside ( microwave, fridge, sink); bathrooms include walk in shower; living room with nice comfortable love seat and ottoman; sleeping area includes 2 futon bunk beds with futon toppers and blow up mattress for extra comfort if needed; privacy around your cabin hidden by pine trees and overlooking main camp area and lake... and fyi... no permanent campers, so usually very quiet; choose any unused campsites below to use for a campfire or use fire ring close to cabins... lots of firewood available, either stacked or plenty of branches available all for free; lots of wooded and open trails for hiking. Inside cabins sleeps 4 comfortable.

Just a lovely spot. We had the place all to ourselves. My boys enjoyed playing on the sandy beach of the lake, and I enjoyed nature watching (we saw trumpeter swans, hawks, herons, shrews. There are beavers too but I didn’t see them this time.) The campsites are elevated enough above the water that they are quite dry and breezy; we had almost no mosquitos. Only issue was that the site was on a very slight slope so we slid down in our sleeping bags. Oh, and the frogs were very loud at night! The hosts are wonderful — knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and friendly with my kids. I know we will come back!

Very good experience! Communication was great with Debbie, and her husband came by our campsite shortly after we arrived to let us know about the hiking trails, firewood availability and the lookout tower. Will definitely go back!

We had a good time at Peaceful Lake Campsite. Debbie and her husband were exceptionally good hosts. The camp was quiet, although other campers were there. Bathrooms and shower were great for a campsite. We enjoyed the view of the lake as well as the wooded area. I would recommend anyone who loves roughing it, to go enjoy this campsite.

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at Debbie and Larry's campground. We had a perfect amount of peace, quiet, and seclusion, while still being able to reach our hosts quickly whenever we needed to (one example: my car battery died and Larry quickly came down to give me a jump--just incredibly kind and courteous). We loved the wildlife we got to see next to the lake, including geese, swans, cranes, herons, beavers. What a privilege to be able to enjoy hiking, stargazing, taking a boat out on the lake, and topping the night off with a campfire. I hope to be able to visit again!

Such a beautiful property! We had a wonderful weekend retreat walking through the woods and kayaking on the lake. It’s worth checking with Debbie and Larry ahead of time to see if the neighboring property is planning a party that weekend. Other than a little extra noise at times this was a wonderful spot. Highly recommend and would definitely camp there again!

Tent camping was very peaceful and relaxing here! Hosts were very understanding of a personal family emergency we went through making us late for check-in. Firewood was plentiful and easy to break down to use. Fairly private. Could see other campers, but didn't feel cramped. Overall great experience.

Great site! Lovely spot, beautiful morning watching the sunrise over the lake. Debbie and Larry were super friendly and welcoming, great hosts! Only quibble is the listing says firewood provided, but the only wood was not cut to length and very wet. Debbie and Larry found some dry wood for us though that some neighboring campers had, and delivered it to us, which was very nice of them!

I loved staying here. Debbie and her husband were very kind and easy to get into contact with. This was my first time camping alone as a woman and they made sure I felt secure my entire stay. The entire place was beautiful with great trails. I plan on coming back when it's a bit warmer.

Beautiful, Comfortable, and Quiet

My wife and I loved the land, the lake, and the quiet! The hosts Larry and Deb were outstanding! We were there during a weekend where the camp was filled with activity however we were tucked away in the youth camp area and it was as if the camp was completely empty. The lake and surrounding area is so beautiful we had the camper windows open the entire time not that much time was spent inside at all. We enjoyed a nice fire with the copious amounts of free firewood around. We kayaked the lake and took a lite hike around the property. Bathrooms are the cleanest most comfortable pit toilets I've been in as well as the showers with nice warm water. For a primitive site this place had a lot more than expected!

Had a great time at this well cared-for camp. Enjoyed lying in the sand on the beach, feeling the sun's rays warmth and the softness of the sand, while my daughter swam in the lake. Met the curator, Larry. Very nice fellow, sharp as a tack and smart as a whip. Enjoyed having a few chats over the course of the stay. I'd honestly probably go back just for the company. 5 star experience.

This campsite is perfect for car camping. The hosts Larry and Debbie are so friendly and welcoming and the scenery is very serene. The bathrooms were spotless. There was plenty of firewood and kindling available. Before leaving I explored a couple of miles of trails which are well maintained and clearly marked. I will definitely be back.

First, I would like to give praise to the property owners Debi & Larry! They were both attentive and welcoming. It was delightful meeting Larry and learning about what this property & its offerings. Their hospitality exceeded all expectations! The campground is beautiful and offers thoughtful amenities. The sandy beach was perfect for relaxing by the water. The rope swing provided excitement (especially for our daughter). The water pump and facilities are just a short walk from the site. This campsite includes a rowboat to use during your stay, providing outstanding value! We highly recommend this site! We are so grateful for our stay and will be visiting again.

This was an incredible spot to camp. Absolute gorgeous lake, and setting. On top of that bathrooms, showers and firewood provided. On this week night I had the entire place to myself. I loved the trails for a nice walk by the wet lands. Later I settled in with my dog and a roaring for an incredible peaceful evening. I have already marked this down to do future camps. The host Debbie and Larry were extremely nice and hospitable. Thank you so much to the hosts for a great relaxing evening at a very pretty spot.

Had a great experience at this beautiful property. Went with my Aussie who had an absolute blast. The campsite while not secluded had no one else there that weekend so I had a bit of solitude. A clear view of the night sky and cooler weather made for a pleasant night sleep. The hosts were warm and friendly and provided free firewood, which can be found around the property. Will definitely be back, perhaps try some their cabins that look pretty cozy and have full amenities.

My first tent camping experience and it was great. Debbie was a wonderful host she greeted us and was very welcoming and accommodating for a same day booking. The site was nice. I will say get good bug spray because the mosquitos were very hungry.

This place was amazing. It was peaceful and perfect for my partner and me to disconnect for a few days from our work. I gotta say Debbie and Larry are lovely and made our stay a wonderful experience - they were also so helpful and quick to reply to any questions. The cabin was also 10/10. It had everything we needed for a super comfortable stay, and the private deck was also great for some late-night grilling. I fully recommend this spot. Our experience was amazing, and we look forward to returning.

Absolutely loved our trip! Got to meet Debi’s husband, Larry, who takes care of the property with her. He is an absolute delight, both kind and helpful answering my questions about the property, and even took the extra time to chat with my curious 5yo about nature! General thoughts: -Beautiful view of lake behind bonfire. Perfect star gazing, loved the sounds of nature all through the night and day. Perfect seclusion. Only saw three other groups while we were there for our 2 day, Labor Day stay. -The second set of outhouses next to the showers smells better than the ones close to campsite #1, great if you have a child sensitive to strong smells. Great water pressure and heat in shower! -Beach has lots of seaweed growing up from the ground, but our kids enjoyed splashing around in it any way! Lovvvved the rope swing, sand, and touching Lilly pads on our rowboat ride. -Three large piles of branches available for fires! Bring a hatchet/axe. -Didn’t have time, but saw the nice basketball court and grass volleyball setup! Also spotted a slide, swings, and tire swing. -Lots of swan activity on the lake! Bring binoculars for a closer look. I lover hearing them throughout the day/night! MIL wished she had earplugs for better sleep. -We felt extremely safe as a family of mostly BIPOC and international travelers. 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾 Other than fear of the spiders, mosquitos, the cat rustling the bushes near the trash. 🤣

Totally conducive to car-camping or tent-camping, a beautiful view, serene environment, incredibly friendly hosts. Will likely be back in the future and totally recommend for anyone looking for an affordable camping experience

Lakeside Campsite is a stunning retreat situated next to Miller Lake, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty. The campsite is wonderfully peaceful, allowing guests to relish the serene sounds of the night, from the chorus of frogs to the gentle splash of fish in the water. The experience is utterly serene. The campsite is well-equipped with shower facilities, portable toilets, and a pump for well water. We also had the opportunity to use the rowboat for a delightful trip around the lake and enjoyed a scenic hike along the wetland trail adjacent to the lake. This unexpected gem truly enhanced our long weekend trip from Chicago to Toronto. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend Lakeside Campsite and will definitely return in the future!
