A quiet country retreat nestled in the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. Our place consists of three RV sites with water and electric hookups, two camping sites and one on-site travel trailer for rent. Wifi is available at all sites, except for Site 3. Green Acres at Red Brick Farm is located just 50 miles east of Kansas City off of I-70 at Exit 49. Once you are off of I-70 your drive is less than 8 minutes away on all blacktop roads. Site 2 is on gravel with 30 amp hookup and water, preferably best for RV’s and trailers 25’ and under. Site 1 and Site 3 are on gravel with a 20/30/50 amp hookup and water, best suited for larger RV’s and trailers. You may choose your site location, but due to the small number of sites we have we may have to alter your choice. This is so we can accommodate our guests in the best way possible, depending on the size of each rig. If you are towing a vehicle or pulling a trailer your total length should be 55’ or under. We will not accept Triple Axels. Site 4 and site 5 are for tents, pop ups, very tiny trailers and are in flexible locations. A 20 amp standard outlet can be provided for site 4 and site 5. For your use is a shower, toilet, and bathroom sink in our farmhouse basement. Please arrive before dusk, so you don’t disturb other campers. Site 6 Is the on-site travel trailer, ‘Ain’t She Cute’. No Pets are allowed when reserving ‘Ain’t She Cute’. The vintage style travel trailer is completely renovated and decorated with collectibles and antiques and is available for booking. It is furnished with a queen size bed, tiny kitchen, TV, wifi, and full size, not trailer size, bathroom. The trailer is for 2 guests, but an additional guest may sleep on the daybed, preferably a child or small adult. We live onsite in our 1920’s Prairie Style home which is also Red Brick Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast with three Guest Rooms available for booking. Look us up online. At your disposal, is the use of our outdoor furniture, a large yard to walk around in, a fire pit, a BBQ grill, and even a tire swing. Our restaurant, Red Shanty Cafe and BBQ, is located in the town of Higginsville, about 5 miles from Red Brick Farmhouse. Red Shanty Cafe is open Weds and Thurs, 11am - 8 pm and Fri and Sat, 11am - 9pm.

It is on gravel located by the Junque Shed and at the edge of the field with 20/30/50 amp hookup and water and is best suited for larger trailers and RV’s more than 25 feet. Due to only having a few sites we cannot always guarantee that you will get the site you choose. RV’s and trailers over 25’ need to be parked at sites 1 and 3 due to their size. Site 1 - Main Driveway

The hosts were very kind and super helpful. This is a nice site, close enough to I-70 to make it an easy detour off your main route. The whole place is decorated by someone with a great eye. (Annette?) If you camp in the fall, be sure to check out the numerous orchards all around the area. We came home with a bushel of apples, some local honey, and a few extra pounds around our middle. Be sure to check out their barbecue restaurant in Higginsville!

We didn’t have a great experience there. The hosts were stern and not very friendly. We lit a fire in the fire pit (the pit and firewood were included in the listing), but we were scolded by the host for doing so because it’s so dry this week. We understood and wouldn’t have if it were against the rules, but we also wouldn’t have chosen to camp there if fires weren’t allowed. We arrived later than expected, and maybe that’s why they were grumpy? It wasn’t intentional on our end. There was also a roofing crew there early Saturday morning, so it was loud - not the serene country experience we were hoping for. The roofing situation would have been good to know ahead of time. If they didn’t want us there I wish they had declined our request to stay. We made the best of it, but it was a bummer experience overall.

This site was lovely. We were serenaded by insects all night (not bothersome, quite peaceful actually). Easy access from the interstate. The host was communicative beforehand, giving us better driving instructions, and met us when we arrived. A hot shower in the little trailer was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful setting just a short drive off the interstate. So much better than the exposed roadside alternatives in the area! Easy check in and set up. We arrived just before sunset and left before sunrise, but we would have loved to have stayed longer. Hosts were sweet and helpful.

We had a great stay camping at the Red Brick Farm. Annette was super communicative and helped us out when we had to change our reservation due to bad weather. The property is peaceful and very well kept. We would be happy to stay again if we’re passing through.

What a beautiful and peaceful space! The farm is nicely tucked away from the noise of the freeway. It’s as if I was transported to a different world. The sunset was mesmerizing from just outside the farm’s entrance. Annette and company were wonderful hosts who clearly have spent a lot of time and energy designing the space to give their guests the best experience.

After 2 1/2 weeks of traveling, we slept the best here than anywhere else. The insect noises lulled us to sleep, and we woke to birds chirping. As a fellow farming family , we enjoyed seeing healthy corn crops surrounding us.

The hosts were friendly, the location was shaded, convenient to get to from the highway, there was a good constant breeze which helped with the heat, and the bathroom with shower was a nice bonus. They also had cute decorations everywhere.

A neat and quiet farmstead surrounded by corn fields and accessible by a lightly traveled blacktop country road. The hosts were friendly as were the other campers we met while there. It's a short drive to Lexington, MO where there is a historical civil war site and museum.

Beautiful property! Our son enjoyed the tire swing. Owners were very responsive and helpful...they even offered shelter during a storm. Bathroom / shower convenient and clean ( but do require steps to access). We will camp again!

The hosts were extremely accommodating but mostly kept to themselves so you’ll have privacy. It’s a stunning property. Gorgeous views, birds singing in the morning and beautiful drives down country roads. Town isn’t far so if you need anything it’s less than 10 min drive. This location is so beautiful and peaceful. Internet and phones work great but leave them turned off and enjoy your surroundings.

Everything about the actual listing had exceeded our expectations upon departure. We were facing ten hours of driving the morning we left yet leisurely enjoyed coffee in their lawn chairs prior to departure. That is our endorsement.

Great spot for us to spend the night on our cross country road trip. Annette’s place was perfect, Beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to catch the sunset over the cornfields. Tons of fireflies as well. It was very quiet and we slept well. Annette and Kenton were quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful place to stay

What a beautiful place with wonderful hosts. Having had a major windstorm the night before and facing a thunderstorm as we arrived, we reached out to our hosts to see if we could switch to the bed and breakfast. That was not open yet but in the short time we were driving our hosts accommodated us. We got a great dinner at the restaurant they own close by and had a lovely cozy room. Other campers were also given shelter as the storms rolled in. Our hosts were welcoming and so thoughtful. We were treated to a great breakfast and friendly conversation. Not to mention the homemade biscuits. The campsites are beautiful, set in a circle behind an old farm house. The house itself is beautifully maintained in its period style. Cannot speak highly enough about Annette and Kenton and there sites and home.
