Amazingly, magical glamping experience. What kid (or adult for that matter) wouldn’t love to camp out in a whimsical treehouse?? Especially one that has allllll the creature comforts of home! Lol. Very comfy beds, cozy sheets/bedding and pillows, towels, running water (hot&cold) heat and fans/cooling, fully stocked kitchenette, provided firewood. Just show up with your s'mores supplies and you’re ready for a magical time. Plenty to explore on the property (a small lake, a big creek, 150-ish acres) and if that’s not enough it’s close to great hiking and rafting. Jeremy was incredibly welcoming (had a wagon to help us get out stuff to the site). He also got out his chickens for our girls when he saw they were interested in them. We would definitely recommend and will return.

Our group absolutely fell in love with our stay at the treehouse. Jeremy and family were fantastic hosts. I wish we could have stayed longer! The grounds were so fun to explore and the treehouse itself was a dream come true. Pure magic.

Unique and wonderful camping experience. Jeremy was an attentive host and staying at his tree house was a pleasure. We had 2 families/ 4 kids all together, meeting the 8ppl max for the space. We all fit !! Having the linens and pillows provided was super convenient and we appreciated the quality. Our camp time was a chilly Memorial Day weekend, but I could picture this location being fun in all seasons. There was a little pond, a fun hike on the property leading to a creek (about a mile there), and the kids were happily exploring the whole trip.

Great stay by the brook

We stayed next to the brook and it was beautiful, serene and private. Jeremy was a wonderful host with clear directions, answers to our questions, and kind hospitality. The hike out was rocky and a little muddy at some spots, but gorgeous. The campsite was clean and very convenient including the compost toilet, the picnic table, the fire pit, and the stream for water. Our only issue was some ticks trying to get into the tents. Overall, our family of six had one of the most peaceful camping trips we’ve ever had despite some rain. We are so grateful and highly recommend the site.

What a magical place. We decided to book a trip for our son’s 5th birthday and the site was everything a little boy dreams of. From the bunk beds with true tree limbs to the hidden beds above the kitchen area- it was perfect! It is certainly thought out and a lot of love was put into the building process. Jeremy was great with supplying firewood and amble cooking equipment which made it easy to not have to leave for anything extra one may need. Highly recommend paying a visit!

We stayed one night in Rolling Forest and it was awesome! Not far from the city at all and a beautiful drive out there. Great campsite that felt peaceful and secluded. Jeremy was gracious host and let us tour the new tree house site that we will definitely be back for!

All-season serenity

Little Birds Treehouse is a one-of-a-kind, simple, serene place to disconnect and rejuvenate. The structure and the two living spaces are well-built and thoughtfully planned out. We visited at the start of November and felt warm and cozy thanks to the heaters and passive house design, including fantastic insulation. I wouldn’t hesitate to come during winter months. Jeremy was kind enough to provide ample firewood for us to enjoy a lovely campfire at night and even cook breakfast over fire the next morning. There is a great collection of cookware and utensils for use both over fire and on the induction cooker provided in the kitchen area. There’s also a small fridge. Between the two living spaces, there are a lot of sleeping options. Following a relaxing night of sleep, we decided to start our day with a walk along a trail that leads to a nearby stream. There was not a ton to see, but it was nice and tranquil. That’s kind of the essence of Little Birds Treehouse; it’s peaceful and comforting. After checking out, we took the opportunity to visit some of the nearby sites, including High Point Monument and Hawk’s Nest Lookout. The surrounding area is gorgeous and we really enjoyed the drive to and from the property. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat where you can truly unwind, this is the place. Jeremy is a fantastic host and he has truly built a special little treehouse. Check it out, and if you have a pet, bring them along; they're going to love it too.

My family had an amazing time at the Little Birds Treehouse! The unique design and thoughtful features are truly remarkable and gave us an experience we will never forget. Jeremy was so kind and gracious to provide everything we needed from bedding, towel linens, kitchen supplies, and firewood! The grounds are so expansive, peaceful and quiet, and we loved spending our evening stargazing and staying warm at the fire pit. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a retreat in nature, with all the amenities needed for comfort, only a couple of hours from NYC!

Beautiful property. Jeremy has some amazing building projects going on, which he was kind enough to give us a tour of. The camp site is what I'd consider perfect; very private & secluded, but reasonably quick to hike back out to run to a store, restaurant, or attraction. Heavily/moderately wooded with ferns, deer, etc. It's a 10 minute walk/hike to the site. This trail is bumpy and on a long gradual hill, so only pack what you could comfortably haul back uphill. (Very kind of Jeremy to provide a heavy-duty cart with high clearance for use on this trail.) Would 100% recommend.

We had a great time camping on Jeremy's land. I picked the closer tent site and it was great. It is well far away from their home and the other sites, you are well secluded. The tent platform was excellent, it is much easier to get some rest when you are on an actually flat and level platform. This was my son's first-time camping and he loved it.

Private site in a beautiful forest

Little Birds Farm is a lovely little camp in Sparrow Bush. We stayed at the Brook site and the hike there really set the tone - through fields of fern and forest. The brook provided cool, refreshing water (we brought our filter!), and the stars at night were beautiful. Very private, secluded, and peaceful. If you choose that site be sure to have your camp well packed on your back. Otherwise the shorter walk to the Forest site (or the brand new treehouse!) would be a better choice. Jeremy is a kind, engaging host and he went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay (thank you Jeremy!). I highly recommend Little Bird Farm. Oh, and if you don’t have a car it is accessible by public transport from NYC! We took the bus from Port Authority to Port Jervis. And JL Taxi in Port Jervis can do a quick, affordable, and friendly ride.

Camping at Rolling Forest

The campsite was amazing! We loved the set up with the fire pit and log seating. Jeremy was a great host and showed us around his property and his newly built Tree House. Rolling Forest was a quick 10 minute hike from the parking area and the trail acted like a nice daily hike for our group when we needed to gather more supplies. The location was nice and secluded, we could not hear the neighboring campsite located 1/4 mile away. We will definitely need to plan another trip back!

Jeremy’s camp spot was great and he was nice enough to give us a dozen eggs on our arrival. Two sites on his property and we stayed at the closer one which is about 1/4 mile from the car. Hiked to the other camping spot down near the creek which was nice and attempted to catch some trout. Got a couple of bites. Would definitely come back.

Great experience! Went with my 3 year old son, so was looking for a “light” backpacking experience and this was perfect. The owner met us at the house and showed us the direction to the site. The hike is mostly downhill and took us about 30 minutes, my son navigated it just fine. You could do several trips, but I wouldn’t plan on it or carrying anything heavy. The river is great and saw some trout rising on the surface, but wasn’t able to get close enough to the river to get a line in because it had flooded several days before. If it was drier or you have waders, this would be a great fly fishing spot. Overall, wonderful time at a beautiful place.

Beautiful, Secluded and Peaceful

This private campsite was secluded and peaceful, a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. As the description says, it's a bit of a hike through the woods to get to the campsite, but it's well worth it. The campsite was nice and flat, and had plenty of space to accommodate my group with four tents. There's a large fire pit and a beautiful brook. The host was great. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given a dozen farm-fresh eggs. On the final day, Jeremy was kind enough to help us haul out some of our items using his tractor. The treehouse that's being built on the property looks impressive, and I can't wait to book another stay to experience it when it's finished. I highly recommend this beautiful spot! Jeremy was a great host!

Everything I want in a campsite

We loved camping here! We found the place easily and the Jeremy met us with some farm fresh eggs. As the description says, it’s a walk through the woods on a trail into the camp site, but this is why we picked this place! It’s super private and you do feel like you’re away from it all back in the woods along a stream. We saw hawks, herons, deer, and red efts. The site itself was very pretty with a good fire pit and plenty of sticks and twigs around. The toilet is mostly a box with a seat and some hay, but it’s nice to have a designated location. The star visibility at night was pretty good too! This would be a great site for beginner backpackers as well as anyone wanting seclusion and nature. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back!

One of the best campsites in my opinion! The spot is so darn pretty, amongst lots of evergreens and nice and flat with a big firepit and a beautiful brook right next to you - magical and practical, no need to bring any water if you bring a filter. It's so lovely that it's only one site with the 3/4 mile hike out so we bring our crazy dogs and get the space and peace we are looking for when camping. It's just deep in the woods enough to feel secluded and get some exercise without being worried if something goes wrong. The host is also awesome and gives you fresh eggs from his chickens to hike out with for breakfast and they bring you firewood if you want it. There was a cast iron pan at the site as well which we took advantage of (but not sure if it's there all the time) and there is a nice table and bench made of logs which I always appreciate as well as a composting toilet behind a tarp which was nice to have as well. This was our second time being at this site and 10000% recommend it, especially at this time of year.
