So, revive your spirit in one of our forest walk-to tent sites, shady, drive-to tent or RV sites, quirky shelters, or fully furnished rustic mountain cabins. Located in the heart of "The Land of Waterfalls", we have more than 250 waterfalls within 30 minutes of Ash Grove. Centrally located between DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest and Gorges State Park, we offer the perfect basecamp for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to hike, bike, ride horses, fish, kayak, paddle or even visit our local breweries! As we like to tell our guests, Ash Grove is located 15 minutes away from Awesome in every direction!

The hosts were accommodating pre-trip when I had to change my booking. When I arrived, check in was easy, Mark provided maps and information on the camp and nearby attractions. Camp was well maintained, bathrooms were clean, hot showers! Great Campground!

We loved camping with our travel trailer. All the sites are pull through so no backing up on steep mountain hills! They also offer a dump station which is pull through. We enjoyed the suggestions of places to eat and shop but especially loved the waterfall guide. Mark and Ester were easy to work with and truly seem to care for their campers.

The Gnome Home
The campground is very cute, well organized and in general kept it very well. Mark was super friendly and helpful with all the explanations regarding the campsite, facilities, things to do around, fire supplies, etc.. The bathrooms are very clean and all went pretty smooth. The gnome house is a great idea for those that want a camping experience, but don't feel like getting up there on a Friday afternoon and build a tent. Plus, if you bring a heater, you can stay warm even in the colder season. I would highly suggest this place, me, my husband and our 2 dogs had a lot of fun and the area is just perfect for an outdoor weekend, with all the waterfalls and events going on around Brevard.

The campground is very wooded and lush. It was well thought out and not commercial feeling at all. Esther and Mark do a beautiful job maintaining it. Very shaded. They are lovely, friendly and very organized . I will definitely be returning in the Spring. I will also add that in all my years of camping their bath house was spotless. My daughter and I loved it💗.

Tucked away with woodland pathways, the greenest moss I've ever seen, and wonderful attention to detail, this camp was extremely hospitable and had everything you could need. We had access to a clean and comfy bathhouse, laundry, and hiking paths. There are charming old swings, a horseshoe pit, and places to stop and meditate, all under the shade of beautiful trees. We were provided with easy-to-use maps of the local area, waterfall trails, and a guide to all the local restaurants, shops, and points of interest. It is obvious the caretakers love their property and have done a wonderful job curating it for guests. 5/5 stars recommend!

We brought our teardrop camper, site was easy to level, conveniently located, and Esther was so helpful during our stay. There were lots of thoughtful touches (huge bonus points for free emergency tampons in the women’s restroom!), great info for nearby activities/food/etc. we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back.

This facility exceeds what you would expect with Hipcamp. Multiple sites, well laid out, shaded, spaced, and level sites. No bugs, but expect periodic rain showers since this is a temperate rain forest (no drainage issues). Keep your firewood covered. Mark and Esther were great hosts, there when you needed them but otherwise leaving you alone. I would definitely stay there again.

The hosts are very considerate and informative about their sites and nearby attractions. The entire camp is well maintained with a variety of settings (techno, cottages, and sites with tech-free, woodsy experience). The location has a nice bath house and a dishwashing station. The tech-free camp sites are a distance from the parking lot. They do provide wheelbarrows. Some campsites are closer to the parking lot than others and the further sites are a walk and downhill. It is not extremely far but just a warning that you cannot drive your car up to the camp site. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Ash Grove!

My friend and I came here to try and see the blue ghost fireflies and to celebrate his graduation and it was such the perfect getaway. The site was lovely and perfect for 2 people and made it feel like you were just surrounded by the forest. Mark and Esther were fantastic hosts and we would love to come back for our next visit.

Ash Grove was a great place for us to camp. The campground is wooded and we found the site just as advertised. Mark was especially nice and available. The bathroom/shower house was super clean and loved the hot water! Mark and Esther have taken time to type out directions and tips to area parks and waterfalls. Super helpful! Used this paper all week. Also, had listed area restaurants with recommendations which were spot on. Would definitely stay at Ash Grove again.
