Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
Joe is very friendly host. Great local historian. The property sits close to a road and a railroad but neither bothered me. I see why he offers free ear plugs for light sleepers. His location in relation to the trail can’t be beat.

Awesome spot right off the tow path. Wish I could have stayed to enjoy it but after several delays I ended up getting there after dark and had to leave asap the next morning. Being 105 miles by bike from my start was a big plus for me.
Next time I pass through I'll hang around haha.

Nice property, right off of the towpath. I did an overnighter on my bike, this place was perfect for that. It's a short ride into town for restaurants. Also Joe was super nice, very knowledgeable about history of the local area and his property specifically.

Joe was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the areas history, which was very interesting to learn about. The campsite was well maintained and thoughtfully laid out. Campsites are extremely close to towpath access (basically next to it) and close by to the river so you do not have to go far for outdoor recreation. Will be back soon!

When you are walking across America from coast to coast there are not many campsites along the way. It is a real struggle to find a legal and cheap place to spend the night, so having this campsite was a real blessing. I would recommend it to all long distance travelers on foot or bicycle.

Very basic camp spot, but ideal for access to the towpath. Some yard work/mowing would help keep the bugs away. Joe was informative and responsive.

Want a easy going place to relax.... this is it... good parking... enough location for tents and tables and games... close to river... right on the walking trail... price was decent and wood price was satisfy... would stay here again... to bad the river was up so this was strictly a camping trip

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TTPP, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a serene environment that instantly made us feel at ease.
The campsite itself is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities and well-organized spaces that cater to tents. The natural beauty surrounding the area is simply breathtaking, with lush greenery, picturesque trails, and a tranquil lake perfect for fishing and kayaking. Each morning, waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves was a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
What truly stood out, the owner/operator went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Providing helpful tips on local attractions , their dedication was evident in every interaction.
In conclusion, TTPP Campground offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and camaraderie. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway. We will leave with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return soon.

Joe was such a delightful person to me. I cannot wait to go back in this time when I go back we will be taking our kids with us like talking about the history of the rain and his campsite. He was very helpful on whatever we asked about and we liked it a lot will be back

An amazing spot for camping. Beautiful landscape for the sunrise/sunset. Joe was very insightful and shared some interesting history of the land. I will be back for the full history tour and I recommend any tent camper to hit this spot. Cheap awesome getaway.

It's on OK piece of land and the picnic tables and umbrellas are nice, but if a guest reserves a spot and pays in advance, you have to mow the grass before they arrive. 6"-8" of grass and weeds is not OK for a "campsite."

This wasn't what I was expecting, and between the dilapidated trailer and houses, the guy with large unleashed dogs, and the firepit filled with beer cans I didn't feel safe staying there. I think this could be a place other people, maybe more adventurous than me, would be fine staying. The grass in all the sites was recently mown, and there was some privacy available next to the road.

This is a great spot for people adventuring along the Towpath Trail, Buckeye Trail, or the Tuscarawas River. It's literally on the trail, and a treeline away from the river (you can't access the river directly from the site, but there's a launch a few hundred feet up the road). Joe was very friendly and informative when I met him on my arrival. I had the place to myself for two nights, but if more people had come by there would have been plenty of room for all of us to enjoy our own space.

Joe has a great property for camping right along the Ohio & Erie trail! He was friendly and hospitable! I would recommend his spot for anyone passing through or looking for a hideaway from the business of life!

Overall good experience. Great spot to throw a tent down and stay a night. Make sure you pack your bug spray, mosquitoes are a pest here.

Peace park was a nice little campground that was conveniently close to the town of Bolivar. Joe came out and introduced himself, gave us a little rundown of the campground, spoke to the history of the land, chatted with us about who we were and whatnot, it was great.
A train came through at 3am and woke me up but I went right back to sleep. In the morning I woke up, packed my stuff, talked with the other campers, and got ready to leave. As I was pulling out Joe came out and talked with us. He's a great guy, and this campground is a great value.

This was a very quick trip to see the total eclipse in Cleveland. I arrived around 9:30 pm and departed the following morning around 8:30. The location and facilities were as described. I pitched my tent on the lower level. There were some other campers there with a nice fire. I did not meet nor talk to Joe in person, but he was very responsive to my text messages and accommodating of my late arrival. As I stated, it was a quick trip, but Bolivar looks to be a lovely small town and the Erie Canal and Towpath have historical significance. Finally, it's only about an hour south of Cleveland so it's a great jumping off point for the Lake Erie region.

Joe's land is wealthy with history and the Ohio culture. He has worked to provide great modern amenities. If you are a vacationer or displaced traveler, then this campsite will be worth your time to stay and talk.
