Lovely large areas for camping. Note: I was not on the ground but in my Westfalia. Quiet and peaceful except for the frequent ATV riders in the distant sand dunes. It was the weekend so maybe ATV activities are not as noisy during the week.

Jesse is a great host, personable and eager to make sure Alder Creek has necessary items to make it more comfortable, ex: outhouse, water, wifi. That was all very pleasant. The land itself is beautiful and very cool. We will not be staying here again, because of the sounds that carry over from the ATVs and Buggies. He mentioned this upfront, but we assumed there would be some sort of curfew or limit. There is not and we were hearing motors flaring up until 2am one night. A bummer because the area is so pretty. Without the ATV noises we would consider to stay here again, but it doesn't seem like there is any way to control the noises given close proximity to local campgrounds.

Overall we had a good experience! Potable water is available, and the location is a close drive to Pacific City. However, there are no tables at the sites.

A nice farmstead next to dunes

An excellent farm stay in the woods. All camp spots had both a grassy field and some wooded areas. Areas were clean and so was the Port-o-potty. The sites were nice and far apart. The site was off the main road but you could still hear cars and motorcycles in the dunes most of the day,

Sand dune ATVs noisy

This is a great spot close to great beaches. Access to water and bathrooms was a plus. Our main complaint was the noise from ATVs at the local sand dunes. You could hear them driving during all daylight hours. Other than that, we would totally recommend.

This is a lovely spot and felt private and relaxing on a very busy Labor Day Weekend. The host is friendly and helpful. If you don’t like ATV noise from the dunes, this is not the place for you, however.

Perfect place for basecamp

It was lovely. Very nice and open. Lots of space to put up a tent or roam. The campsites are in view of each other but far apart, so you can't hear anyone. The toilets are clean. The Wi-Fi works great as well. The host was very kind, and welcoming. The only thing is that there is a ATV park near by so, you can hear a soft noise pretty much all day but it stopped at night and caused no issue. Would stay again!

Convenient 'Wilderness' camping

The Forest camp site has nice privacy with an 'wooded clearing' behind it. We didn't have any trouble finding ground that was level enough for a tent and canopy shelter. In the challenges category, mosquitos were frequent visitors during our visit, and occasional sounds of distant ATVs on occasion. However, mosquitos can be held a bay with spray or a bug tent, and the ATV sounds were only audible a small fraction of the time. The rest of the time we got to enjoy peaceful whispering breeze in the trees, plenty of space, a beautiful night sky, easy access to water and bathrooms, and convenient access to activities in the area. I think this a place we are likely to return to again.

Was not clear that the campsite was in full view of the house with people in it. Was not private. There was construction with lots of strangers right in the field we were camping in during the morning. For the price I would have expected a much more private spot. Water is conveniently located and the plot was decently large with a prebuilt fire ring. Could have housed multiple cars and many tents.

We loved the privacy and the space that we had for both our rv's. It was a wonderful space for our two families with children and a large dog that loved having room to run. We highly recommend this Hipcamp!! We really liked Jesse as well. Jesse is very friendly and helpful with any questions or anything that you may need.

Directions were very clear and the site was very well maintained. I think I read "bathroom facilities" and thought of a little building, but they are in fact 2 port o potties. Which is totally fine as they were both very clean! Our dog had a wonderful time too as she had plenty of room to run around, while still staying near our site. This campsite is only a 10-15min drive to pacific city too! It was very nice to sleep to the sound of nature and it be completely dark when we turned off our light.

We had a great time tent camping at Alder Creek. Nice spot nestled in the trees on their property. Adjacent to the other camp sites, which are more like open plains, the Alder Creek site gave us a cozy feeling of being in the woods and privacy. Jesse is a super nice guy and really helpful host.

Great spot to camp on the coast! Jesse’s instructions once we arrived at the address were very easy to follow. It was a lovely, spacious camp spot with plenty of privacy. A beautiful part of the oregon coast. The stars at night were beautiful. Thanks Jesse!

Very convenient for visiting Pacific City, beaches and Cape Lookout. Descriptions of the place were very accurate. Few amenities. A picnic table would have been nice. We had no contact with the host.

Jesse was very kind and we hung out with his kiddo which was super great having a toddler in tow. I felt safe, the water is awesome and porta potties super clean! You will likely hear ATV sounds in the distance most of the day but they settle down once night hits. Overall a really lovely time there

Really great place. Looking forward to seeing what he does with it in the future. We had such a restful night. The ATVs did sound somewhat distract when we arrived but that is completely stopped by dark. Jesse was really friendly and helpful. A great easy camping experience
