I showed up a couple of days early for bike week and this site was perfect for overnight camping. Scott was very pleasant and accommodating, and the site was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Wow where do I begin? Scott was a wonderful host, when my husband and I plans fell through I was left frantically trying to find a spot for us to camp on our way to Myrtle beach. I reached out to Scott directly before booking and explained our situation and he was more than willing to accommodate us. This site is close to main city areas and 20 mins from the beach itself. Yet, after staying there we were awoken by the rooster instead of our alarms and for a moment I thought we were in the hills again. Besides Scott being a wonderful host, it’s quiet and private and with our camping set up we slept with windows down and did have a worry in the world. If in the area I would definitely camp again. !

Scott's land was convenient to Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach, easy to access, quiet and surprisingly isolated given that it's in a residential area. Scott is a thoughtful and friendly host.

Scott is very friendly and welcoming. He had water ready for us and even treats for my dog! He gave us good recommendations to local restaurants and the best places to take the dog to the beach. The site felt private and had a compost toilet. We woke up to the noises of the rooster, but the animals on the property stayed to themselves and were cool to see. Overall we had a great stay.

The surrounding area is beautiful, 10 minutes from the beach and lots of cute local shops. Scott was so welcoming and gave lots of recommendations you’d only get from a true local:)

Scott was super accommodating and helpful. We had an awesome time staying on his property! We had plenty of space and the kids loved that he has chickens on the property! He brought out a kids picnic table with a bunch of art supplies for the kids to play with as well. We will definitely hope his space is free next time we are in the area!

My dog Frieda and I really enjoyed our stay at Scott's campsite. Scott welcomed us in and we set up camp for the night. There's a lot of room to pitch a tent and set up other necessities. It was a nice recluse from the busy streets. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area :)

I was prepared to be totally off grid but found water and toilet at site- a wonderful surprise. Next time I will know to take fire grill but I was able cook oatmeal and water for coffee.

Scott is a great host, communicating clearly and showing up to help campers get situated. His three sites have real charm - two at least had fire pits. Our site was roomy, level and inviting. I was also impressed with his location - just off a major road with great access north or south - and yet his place is quiet.

Peaceful, quiet, close proximity to everything without the hustle and bustle and traffic. Great host, he goes out of his way to make you feel welcome without crowding you and he is always there if ya need him. I liked it. I will and do recommend it.

What a perfect little hideaway! My son and I really appreciated the natural surroundings. Scott, the host, is very kind and genuine and made us feel like we were in our own back yard but better! Close to the shops and the beach and he even told us about places we would never have found on our own. He’s added some things to make the stay more comfortable. We will definitely be planning another visit here.

Was a nice peaceful spot & Scott was great with accomodations 🙏 some noise from construction going on near but that's only temporary 🌞 Loved the chickens 💓 accept the rooster Wanted to visit at 5 30 one am!🤨 (He went away once I mentioned Chicken for breakfast!🤣) So think he respects boundaries for most part!

Scott was extremely helpful and welcoming. He accommodated our late arrival by going above and beyond, showing us right to our site and giving us a personal ‘lay of the land’ tour. The site is huge too! Perfect, secluded spot for multiple people and close to the beach!

We camped at site 3 during our stay. We tent camped so it was a little noisy (due to bike week) but other than that, the site was great! Scott was very helpful and accommodating. The location is central, easy to get to and within a 5 minute drive to a lot of shops and restaurants. I would recommend this spot

Scott was a very pleasant host. Site 3 is very close to the road, so I don't recommend chosing that one if your sensative to the noise. Choose 1 or 2 instead.

We enjoyed our stay very much with Scott! Serene setting in the woods with a fire pit...wonderful. Close to all of Murrells Inlet activities and food. What a find!! Hope to visit again!

We liked very much staying at Scott's land for a night. It is a nice place close to town but quiet at night.
We were welcomed by our host, who is recuperating from an accident. we wish him a good recovery. For EMF sensible people, my husband mesured very little frequencies (much less than 10microWatts/sqmeter)

Arrived 3:15 and looked for host, as directed. No one home. Knocked on front and back doors. Left phone message and a message on Hipcamp app. No response. looked for campsite on property but couldn't identify it. Waited over an hour for host to show, then gave up and found other lodgings for the night. The name "A Quiet Place" is ironic, as the yard is situated between a noisy highway and a construction site with bulldozers and beeping dump trucks. the property itself is cluttered with junk and visually unappealing. I politely asked Scott for a full refund, which has yet to be honored. I would NOT recommend this site!

Tent camping over at Hip Camp was a great experience and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a nice place to camp and get away for a weekend. We were provided with a starter firewood bundle, and also thankful for being given some breakfast. We had a great time at Hip Camp

Upon my arrival , Scott asked me when I would be arriving and did I have any concerns . I asked about the water and would I have to go on a scavenger hunt to find it . He said , no I will see it . I did it was on a T post with a big red velvet Christmas Bow . I asked if it would be Ok if I run my generator for my cpap . He made sure I had a dropcord in case my genorator went out .
There was a firepit and firewood set up . He even put a little christmas decor on site . A festive touch . I cut my other enguagement short to enjoy my site . My 2 dogs enjoyed their scooby snacks Scott gave them . I would definately book his camp again . Communication was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This site is definitely a secret hiding place. :) This was a nice little site, just off Highway 17, convenient for me on my route. Scott was a very kind and communicative host, and we had a nice conversation before I set up the night. When your first pull into the driveway, you see a simple home with some of the normal country things that accumulate, but as you go around the corner to the sites, he’s carved out these really nice little niches on his property that are sheltered by tall trees. The energy in the land is really good and there’s lots of wildlife coming around. There is wild mushrooms and flowers growing. I heard the red tail hawk and saw other birds. While It is not perfectly secluded and there is some highway noise, the space felt private and peaceful. As a solo, female traveler, I felt safe staying there, and would absolutely stay again. Scott was nice enough to to pull around the house so I could fill out my small water tank.
If you are boondocking, you might ask him about a work-stay exchange.

Scott is an excellent host. We just needed to park our RV on his property, as we were staying at a friend's beach house for the duration. We picked up our RV in Florida, bringing it home, via Surfside Beach.
Scott was very accommodating and helpful. We felt comfortable parking our camper there without our presence, as he has a gate.

We were Scott’s first campers and he was still working on adding things to the property for future campers but he was an excellent host and we enjoyed our stay! My kids especially enjoyed the little art projects he offered to them during our visit.
While we were there he added an outdoor shower and offered a compost toilet. There was a grill for use if you want it.
The property was in a good location being a short drive to the area attractions and the beach but far enough away to give privacy and was very quiet.
