The area is beautiful. Cheryl and Brock met us when we arrived and allowed us to stay in a perfect spot in the valley. Kind, friendly hosts, secluded area, lots of stars and fresh air. Highly recommend.

Lil Red Ranch House
Beautiful spot, very quiet and off the beaten path but still close to town. Lewisburg is great with nice bars/restaurants, and the surrounding area has awesome hiking in Greenbrier. Cabin was clean and everything was very well organized. Highly recommend!

We loved glamping the in the little red house. The porta potty was close by, the shower was just up the road. We were provided everything we could want, And if there were any extras we should need. They were actually right there if we wanted to purchase them. This was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and our dog without the kids. We went to Beartown State Park which is not too far, and enjoyed the quiet and the Peace of the mountains.

Pond View Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the Pond View Cabin. What attracted us to this site was its dog friendliness. We especially enjoyed the dog park where we took our pup to play. The walkability of the farm was also excellent and was a good avenue for which we could exercise our energetic puppy. We also took advantage of the dog boarding that Cheryl offered for a day, allowing us to see nearby Lewisberg. The surrounding area is very pretty and quiet, allowing for a relaxing stay. We would consider staying again.

I’d like to give this a terrible review and steer people away so we could have it all to ourselves but there’s not a thing bad about this location!! We have stayed at many Hipcamp’s and have always been excited to return. This one actually makes us not want to leave! The property is as described and more! It’s quiet, peaceful, and very therapeutic! Brookes and Cheryl are amazing hosts! They are quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed! Nice hot showers! Clean porta-potty! Lots of land to hike! Plenty of wildlife everyday!

We loved camping at Cheryl’s farm. The setting is quiet and peaceful and the hay meadows were filled with flowers. Cheryl and her husband met us at our arrival and showed us where our site was, and how to use the shower and water tap. We were visiting for a concert at the state fairgrounds, which was very close and easy to get to. We will definitely choose to camp here again, and may try one of their cabins next time.

Had everything we needed and wanted! The bathhouse was easy to figure out and the portable fan was extremely powerful and came in handy for our late July weekend getaway! Felt welcomed immediately by the gorgeous wildflowers, butterflies and birds! It was great seeing the horses as well! From the shaded picnic area with the hammock to the fire pit area to the cozy inside of the cabin… we felt so at peace! Thank you again for opening up your land to us and allowing us to have a little slice of heaven

I loved Cheryl's cabin setup. The horses are stunning, the land is so beautiful and vast. She checked in with us multiple times to make sure all was going well and we were taken care of. 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Probably the best stay we’ve experienced to date. Three words. Peaceful. Idyllic. Refreshing. Every need was attended to without removing our sense of autonomy.
Horses and farm adjacent to the site brought a sense of community and still peaceful solitude. And if getting away is needed or you need a remote spot to land on the way through, this is the place to be. We are already planning our next trip and return to this site!

One of the best stops on our road trip - we absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and kept out the chilly nighttime temperature. Cheryl was generous and responsive. We enjoyed all the wildlife and beautiful views, and best of all, a perfect hot shower! 10/10

I loved my stay in the Little Red Ranch cabin. Peaceful and a great place to experience nature and a slower pace of life. The horses and animals made the experience even more charming. I visited the Lost Caverns and went hiking not far from the ranch. A hiking trail is also available on the property if you'd like to stay put. The stars at night are picturesque and for my stay, clear skys. Would recommend for solo travelers or couples looking to escape life for awhile. Would love to visit again💛

We had a beautiful stay! The cabin had everything we needed, the bed was comfy, and the horses behind the cabin made the experience ten/ten stars. The cabin had a power outlet to charge a phone, and it does get decent reception if you need it. We would stay again in a heartbeat. :)

Absolutely beautiful property and wonderful hosts. We actually stayed in a new option on-site, a camper, so had the benefit of bathroom (toilet) there within (additional charge over campsites, but worth it as we were in town for concert and camper was much less of a hike for later evening returns). Site was still very private. We enjoyed campfire cooking and being near animals especially horses and had a lovely hour-ish hike around the property on well-maintained trail with beautiful views. There is a shower house with hot water on the property as well which was unexpected and very welcome amenity. We hope to come back some day, hopefully with our own horses to enjoy trail riding in this beautiful place!

Cute little cabin with good amenities (loved that outdoor shower). Quick 10 minute drive to Lewisburg which is pretty cute too with fun cafes and restaurants. We didn't have time to explore the farm, but it seemed like a great place!

I had a wonderful two nights in the Cozy Comfy Suite! It is even more comfortable and immaculately kept than in the photos. Clearly a lot of love has gone into the entire property. Wandering the trails and meeting the many horses, goats, geese, and dogs was also a joy. It was quiet and serene at night, with wonderful stargazing from the private back porch. The general area is also a very magical pocket of WVA. Cheryl and Brooke are fantastic hosts who respect your privacy but are attentive to any requests and also happy to provide recommendations on how to best explore the property and surrounding area. I hope to visit again!

Cheryl was a wonderful host. Very accomodating as well. We were upgraded to the bigger cabin free of charge due to a minor difficulty in the one we originally booked. Her instructions to get to the property were extremely thorough.
The cabin was located on a beautiful piece of land right down the road from the main street of Lewisburg. It is a perfect escape for anyone looking to be immersed in nature.

The site is very nice, the cabin is minimal but quaint with a good vibe. I would definitely recommend it, unless you have rad weed allergy, since there is a field of them in the back of the cabin.

The host family very nice with lots of furry animal friends. Trail hike to primitative tent site with picnic table and fire pit ( lot of split wood available) was under 20 minutes. Beautiful vista view and dark forest setting for that back woods feel

The cabin itself was really lovely, and the property was gorgeous! We spent most of our time driving out to New River Gorge so it might not have been an ideal location for that activity. If you’re looking to stay put and in the nearby town or trails I highly recommend. A bit too far from the national parks though.
While it was good to have the portapotty and solar shower nearby we didn’t make much use of it. The porta potty could probably use a clean out more frequently.

I echo others’ thoughts: Cool site, gorgeous valley views, fireflies, stars, welcoming and communicative hosts. We definitely look forward to returning.
A couple insights to help others prepare:
- Walking to the campsite is a bigger elevation gain than we anticipated. 3/4 mile up 150ft. is more than a “10-15 min walk,” especially if it’s sunny, muddy, or you’re carrying supplies like groceries. The hike is still worth it, but also worth being prepared for.
- The campsite is *filled* with ticks. It is situated in a ton of leaf litter, which is ticks’ happy place. Best to treat your tent and clothes with permethrin in advance. Our Picardin body spray couldn’t keep up, as we sweat it off during the hikes up.
- Make sure you request a map or have the water source pointed out to you in person. The tire trough with the goldfish (awesome!) is not obvious from the path, when the meadow has grown to full height. We found ourselves all the way back down the mountain looking for it the first night, as dark was setting in.

We had a lovely time staying on Cheryl's farm! The campsite sits atop a mountain pasture in the rear of their property with great views of the surrounding farmland and ridges. Be prepared for a hearty 10-15 minute hike up there but the effort is well worth the location and privacy it affords. The campsite has a fire pit (w/ grill) as well as a small shed with a rustic toilet and a well spigot nearby (check out the goldfish in the water trough by the spigot, love that guy!) They have done a nice job of creating a trail network around their land that facilitates exploring. Staying there is a great combination of being in nature and being on a working farm - expect a symphony of birdsongs up top and an orchestra of horses, sheep, goats, ducks, geese and dogs down below. The hosts were very kind and accommodating, we would come back.

My stay at the ranch was unbelievably perfect! I stayed one night to break up a long road trip from Chicago to Virginia Beach for an unexpected family emergency. The property is private, stunning, and peaceful, with beautiful pastures and so many adorable animals. I wish I had the time to explore the nearby downtown Lewisburg. I felt so welcome and had everything I needed. I would recommend this place to anyone and can’t wait to return.

Stayed at the lil ranch house for my birthday weekend and loved it would definitely stay there again and plan on it. The property is nestled into the valley and is truly picturesque. The place was cozy and well decorated. Cheryl was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t forget their cute horses too so precious.

The hosts, Cheryl and Brook, have created an incredible ranch on 100 acres of land along the Muddy Creek Mountain. It is stunning terrain on which they have created three separate trails that all start from and end at their ranch. The surrounding forest is dense and teeming with life. At the ranch itself, there are numerous animals including horses, sheep, donkeys, and chickens. I opted for a secluded campsite up the mountain and was super impressed with the space and the view it afforded. Also a great spot for stargazing. Cheryl and Brook were incredible hosts that were so kind and helpful in making sure I was happy with my stay. Aside from the option of camping, they also have lovely cabins and an incredible home stay option for visitors. I really do hope I get to return some day.

We had a wonderful time at the Lil Red Ranch House! It was the perfect spot for a stopover during a long road trip, especially with our dog in tow. The cabin had everything we needed and more - the heater was especially appreciated! The property was perfectly located to enjoy dark skies & stars as well as the amenities of Lewisburg (I definitely recommend stopping at the Wild Bean for coffee).
We didn't have time to do a hike around the farm but we plan on doing it next time we're back!

The BEST time! A lovely location and even lovelier hosts. Cheryl and Brooke went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Everything was clean and accessible, and they even allowed us to meet their friendly animals. Can’t wait to come back and can’t recommend this place enough.
