5 nights at Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite

Cabin 1 was the perfect getaway for my girlfriend and I! The cabin was super comfortable and private, not to mention the gorgeous surrounding view. The showers and bathrooms across the street were convenient and clean. In addition, the cabin is only an hour drive from Yosemite Valley, so traveling back and forth was not an issue at all. Liza and Tom were excellent hosts and we cannot thank them enough for our experience. They responded to all of our messages within 5-10 minutes and assisted us upon request. 10/10 would recommend!

I organized a group trip for a milestone birthday and this spot could not have been better! We rented all 4 spots on Shandie & Jesse's property. Lower Falls is an amazing camp site, especially if you want to gather a larger group. We had 3 families set up at this site for the weekend, and there was plenty of space. The views are outstanding -- amazing place to watch the sunset. And the entire property is out-of-this-world amazing and Shandie and Jessie could not have been kinder and more helpful hosts.

4 nights at Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite

This was awesome! View of stars at night and sunrise in the morning from inside was incredible. Their bathhouse was very clean. 1 hour from Yosemite valley, but seemed like almost any accommodation outside the park was the same drive time. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Yosemite and recommend to friends!

Fantastic spot to camp. About an hour out of Yosemite Village with every bit a stunning view drive. Fantastic views over the valley with clean, modern shower/ toilet facilities. Highly recommend staying here.

I loved tent camping at this place. The location was great. Stayed here for my Yosemite trip. It’s under two hour drive to get to Yosemite which isn’t terrible, considering every campsite near Yosemite was either closed or booked. I met Tom on the last day I was there and he was a really great guy even invited me River rafting last minute. Unfortunately, I had to come back home, but will need to book that for my next trip. Lastly, the amenities were nice especially if you bring a 3 year old with you like we did. Highly recommend. Will be coming back.

My family and two dogs had a wonderful time at Red Tail Ranch! The spot was secluded and peaceful and we loved that we had full hook ups. The outside bathrooms and showers were a pleasant surprise, so clean! We will definitely be back when visiting the area!

Red Tail Ranch is by far my favorite Hipcamp experience, and I wish we’d found it sooner! It’s especially great for groups with a mix of vans, tents and/or more luxurious travel preferences (e.g. in the separate B&B accommodations). Our friends are getting married on site and this was the perfect way for us to clean up after a long road trip to greet them in proper fashion.

This site was very clean! The hosts were the friendliest most helpful hosts I ever encountered at a camp site. One thing to mention… This is an extreme bear watch area. We happened to see a bear walk through the campsite and that was intense but so magical! This site has much to offer with a pool, simple foods, and a huge campfire for all. I will definitely come back and recommend it to my family and friends.

We absolutely loved it here! Waking up to dozens of cows (and cow babies) next to our campsite was so sweet. There was even a baby donkey born the week we arrived that we got a peak of. Showers are really cool, if you shower at night you look up at the night sky and the water is HOT. Host is lovely. The nature is amazing. Great for birding, too. This will definitely be our Yosemite campground whenever we return.

What a wonderful space to go explore one of the world’s greatest national parks. The location is about a hour from the Yosemite Valley. Full hook ups were exceptional. Perfect location for star gazers. Host was exceptional and very responsive.

This campsite was awesome! Beautiful views, quiet, clean, and close to Yosemite. We stayed here for 5 days and had a fantastic time. The bathrooms and showers were clean and we felt right at home here. Staff is very friendly and Liza and Tom were quick to communicate.

Old Yosemite Base camp was along the route into Yosemite National Park prior to the construction of Highway 41. Horse and Carriage traveled along Old Yosemite Road from Mariposa and the entire golden state. Visitors from the world now pass through Oakhurst to Yosemite National Park along this route. Heart Valley ranch hosts 300+ acres of rolling pasture nestled along the beautiful Jackass Creek. Access to Yosemite via 120 takes 1 hour , Groveland 10 minutes, and Coulterville 5 minutes. For more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, available in the area. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie, CA are all within a short drive from our place. We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. At River Ranch Campgrounds, Tuolumne, CA we offer a range of activities to make your stay enjoyable. Take a hike on one of the many trails winding through the Stanislaus National Forest at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains, or cast a line in the North Fork of the Tuolumne River or Basin Creek for some great native fishing. After a long day of exploration, come back to the campgrounds and relax by the firepit or enjoy a picnic in one of our many picnic areas. Activities in the campground include horseshoes, sand volleyball, sandbox for the kiddos and frisbee golf for all. We pride ourselves on blending nature and family camping in a safe, serene environment. We have one bathhouse with flushing toilets and heated showers; additional portables and vault toilets are located throughout the campground for convenience. Important notes: We are off-grid. There is no electricity in the campground with exception of a small solar powered system to operate our entry gate, guest Wi-Fi and intercom. Outlets are not available for guest use. All water is labeled non-potable. Guests may purify/filter at their discretion. Our campground is home to wildlife. You can minimize unwanted encounters by properly storing food and garbage. We have one central bathhouse with 3 flushing toilets. Sites vary in distance from a short walk to a short drive. The bathhouse has 4 shower stalls in the rear of the building. The bathhouse is closed from 10pm to 8am. The bathhouse does not have electricity or interior lighting. Our Hacienda section ("H" Sites) has vault toilets. Portables are located throughout the campground for your convenience. There is minimal privacy from other campers due to the placement of the sites and the way our trees and vegetation is trimmed for fire resistance. All guests and vehicles must be registered upon arrival.

Optional parking may be available for the hike-in. * Creeks are full in the wet season but dry up in summer. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

Yosemite is 30 minutes away, Don Pedro lake is 30 minutes, Cherry Lake is 30 minutes, Preston falls and Carlon falls are both 30 min away. Downtown Groveland Is 7 minutes away, and other historic towns are not too far. Close to many swimming holes. Rainbow pools is 15 minutes away. 10 min from the local grocery store and other local shops. Base Camp is just off of highway 120. In late summer, early fall, there is a feeling of calm. The river slows significantly but still feels amazing to sit in. You can hear its gentle flow and soothing sound as it trickles over the rocks. This is a great time time to explore the river as it is mostly shallow with some swim holes. Most of the time it is very quiet. There is another camp down stream owned by a wonderful family. They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. The Lost Dutchman Italian Bar Camp is a 160 acres of Priviately Owned Patented Mining land and our priviate campground located in the Stanislaus National Forest and on the South Fork of the Stanislaus River, which runs through the camp. It didn't hurt that somewhere close by Our founder found a 800oz pocket of gold. Even today, Prospecting for gold is encouraged! If you want to try your hand at “Gettin on some of the shiny” let the Caretakers know! We have a few gold pans we loan out that are just waiting for some color to make you smile. Of course we have pans for sale. If you’re an avid outdoors person, carrying a gold pan with you just makes sense.
