Middle Fork Tuolumne River Camp
I had such a relaxing and peaceful time at Kristopher's Gold Claim spot. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was the perfect end to a busy day in Yosemite National Park. Kristopher was an incredible Host who was easy to get ahold of and very communicative leading up to, during, and after my night outside at his spot. I would certainly Hipcamp here again! Note to other Hipcampers: this is a camping area for folks in self-contained rigs, which means there are no amenities, no potable water, and no toilet facilities. Overlanders/van lifers, you know the procedure. You must pack out all of your trash (yes even your human waste) If you're not comfortable or familiar with how do so I'd encourage you to seek out a spot on Hipcamp with amenities, toilets, etc. If you see trash during your visit please leave it better and pack it out. I picked up as much as I could!

We loved camping here and had a wonderful time (despite the rain!) we most definitely will be back. I do wish previous people were better at picking up after themselves, but despite that, it was a fun area for our family to explore and enjoy! Our toddler enjoyed every minute and all the playing had him sleeping soundly through the night. Our dog loved playing fetch and roaming through the trees. My fiancée and I were able to relax with the sound of the beautiful river and have fun as a family.

I love this spot. It's a beautiful spot next to the river and I will definitely check it out again. Its very private and down a dirt road with many potholes so bring a car that won't scrape. They being said this spot shows just how bad the fires were. All the big trees are burned. There are little ones slowly growing and we are looking forward to seeing them grow with each visit.
One warning is that all around the camp ground is human poop and toilet paper. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Anywhere you go outside of the flat spots to camp has poop and toilet paper that previous guests left. People please do better and pick up after yourself. Or at least bury your poop/toilet paper.
This is an amazing spot to get away. Please pick up after yourself. I tried to clean all the trash I could but I wasn't about to touch the toilet paper others left. If you go please help clean so we can continue to rent this spot

I loved tent camping here!! Such a nice quiet little spot and so pretty. Only 30 mins from Yosemite. You definitely need a truck or bigger vehicle to get down to the spot. Would definitely camp here again :)

Beautiful little private spot near Yosemite, perfect for a quick getaway. directions were clear and we had no issue finding. We would also recommend checking out rainbow falls nearby!

The GPS coordinates were spot on and we were able to find the site even in the dark. Our camp was quiet and private, on a river, and it was so much fun waking up to half a dozen ranging cattle only 20 feet from our rig!!!
