Weekend Trip to Rocky Mountain Glamping

We had a great experience. Dot and Byron were helpful getting our camper in. There were so many lovely spots to just sit and look at the river. Next time we will come back and try the tents or wagons as they look so fun!

3 nights at Rocky Mountain Glamping

This was our 4th time staying at Dot & Byron's Frontier campsite. It is the most beautiful, artfully designed campsite we have ever stayed at and quickly became my family's favorite. We stay there with our little kids and they have a wonderful time hiking and exploring the gorgeous terrain and visiting the stream, flamingo pond, and heart pond. Our kids often say they want to live at the campsite. Dot and Byron are wonderful hosts and do an excellent job making guests feel at home. I highly recommend any of their campsites for romantic getaways or for family camping made easy. We'll be back for years to come.

Weekend Trip to Boulder Chicken Ranch

Stayed here on my way to the Rocky Mountains after leaving the sand dunes, It was super simple on arrival, there was a very clean porta-potty, showers, fresh eggs, and a nice fire pit!! I really enjoyed a quick night out here especially if ur traveling through Denver just for a day or so. Be mindful of bugs, there were quite a few mosquitoes but nothing a little bug spray can’t handle!

Loved our visit to Arapahoe Valley. The grounds were spectacular,,we personally felt the price was too high for what we got other than that it was great.

Great experience! Very clean, very well organized. Instructions on getting there were very clear and specific. Patrick was very responsive to my messages as well. Would recommend!

Directions to entrance was clear, I had no problems coming or going. The location is proximal to so much good stuff, and the spot itself is very well maintained. It’s an open field so expect to have some neighboring campers. Hope this location is as good to the next camper as it was to me.

I really liked the location of site 31. It had some privacy compared to the other spots which were all pretty on top of each other and was right next to the river. The whole campsite was great, it was nice that they had the shop and playground which helped with refreshing ice/firewood and keeping my kids entertained. My only complaint was the neighbors one site over who played loud music in the morning (why?!?) and since the sites are close we had to endure their poor choices.

We enjoyed our two nights at AVR. The tent sites are well maintained, the views are great, and the facilities are pleasant. Looking forward to returning.

Weekend Trip to Rocky Mountain Glamping

We (me, my partner and our three young kids) came out for a rainy Memorial Day weekend and couldn't have been cozier and happier in the covered wagon and teardrop trailer at night. The property is stunning and Dot is a fantastic host who has thought of everything. We had a lovely hike on the property, played in the creek, and enjoyed the hammocks, swing chairs and propane fire pit when it wasn't too wet out. There's lots to do nearby in Lyons (library, pinball arcade), Longmont and Boulder if the weather gets bad. I wouldn't hesitate to book another covered wagon or a canvas tent again.

A real vibe. Great location and the other campers were so friendly it felt like I was camping at a little festival or something. The host helped us to figure out the shower early in the morning, and it was a really peaceful atmosphere.

Such a cozy little spot! Super quiet, far enough from the highway noise wasn’t an issue at all. Gorgeous scenery, in a quaint valley w trees and meadows to look out on. Planning on returning soon!!

It’s beautiful land. This campsite is on a hill overlooking more campsites, which made it feel less private. I’d still come back, but the location of this particular campsite isn’t for me, they have more private ones than this one. Despite that, the good things about this site are the distance to the bathroom and plenty of hammock sized trees.

Patrick is a great guy, very welcoming. We had a chance to Barbecue together, and it was a blast. Also, the nightly group camp fires are great! A bit close to the road, so if you're looking for very quiet accommodations you may not find them here, but the fresh eggs from the chickens and the hospitality definitely make up for any shortcomings. not super crowded and a nice space overall. Would stay with Patrick again!

Great place to stay for a few days. We enjoyed hiking near by and had a great time. It’s not far from Lyons and Nederland if one wants to go in for dinner. The hosts were on site and had many recommendations which was nice.

Super nice and laid back, but still responsive. They kept everything in good working order and surprisingly clean for a campsite. We were taking shoes off before going into tents because they were so clean.

We had a wonderful time at Dot and Byron's campsite. The beauty of the location and amenities made for a restful and fun weekend with friends. The accommodations were very cozy and we had a wonderful time sitting around the fire, cooking, and enjoying the quiet bliss of the Bliss Camp. Dot and Byron were great hosts, they were attentive and have made a little piece of heaven that they so kindly share. I can't recommend this spot enough for a relaxing getaway. Can't wait to come back sometime soon.

Weekend Trip to Rocky Mountain Glamping

This was a perfect location for our trip! There was so much space and it felt so secluded even though the main house is fairly close by. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the bathroom is close by. Absolutely recommend!

10 stars!! Patrick is the man, truly one of the most gracious humans I have met and eager to make your stay the best it can be. I moved to CO from out of state and this was the place I landed initially, booking a tent site for a week while I started my new job. While at work one day, a huge storm came through and I had left my rain fly wide open to the elements! Coming home to expect a soggy situation, I was grateful beyond relief to find everything battened up. If you book a stay here, definitely make it a priority to meet the hosts, you don’t get more down to earth than Patrick and Brook. I’m coming back for a weekend sometime soon!

Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder with a view of Long’s Peak. Just minutes from town - near walking trails, shopping and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains. We have a 4 meter Glamping tent complete with a queen sized bed, chairs, and a wood burning stove - as well as spots in the meadow for most types of travel: motorhomes, vans, trailers, teardrops, rooftop tents, ground-dwelling tents... We can handle RVs around 45 feet in total length - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. If you are a great driver, you can go even bigger. We have a community fire ring with a big pile of free burn wood, though the big logs are getting few and far between; bringing your own firewood is recommended. Bring an ax or saw. If it's windy, skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water up at the solar shower, don't drink it without purification. We have fresh eggs at the coop. Take what you need; give what you can. Watch out for the rooster. The chickens free range during the day, so PLEASE keep an eye on your dogs… leash if necessary. Our gals won’t run away. Stroll along a rushing stream or head up challenging Moose Track trail to Balancing Rock. After your day of adventure or kicking back enjoy a hot shower. Share your revelations of the day around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or relish your favorite treat as you unwind. Bliss Canyon features 4 accommodations: 2 Gypsy Wagon Campers and 2 spacious Tent Cabins and a boondocking RV site. Teardrop camper sleeps 2 as an addition to any accommodation. The open-air, covered Kitchens have sinks, fresh, potable hot water, kitchenware, gas stove —pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc, BBQ with side burner, critter-resistant food safe, bear-proof trash can, and picnic table outside. We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy. No candles or open flames please. Limited WIFI available. There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive. New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin. Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon! Dark Skies: If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe. Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.) Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details. The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting! Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.
