This was our 4th time staying at Dot & Byron's Frontier campsite. It is the most beautiful, artfully designed campsite we have ever stayed at and quickly became my family's favorite. We stay there with our little kids and they have a wonderful time hiking and exploring the gorgeous terrain and visiting the stream, flamingo pond, and heart pond. Our kids often say they want to live at the campsite. Dot and Byron are wonderful hosts and do an excellent job making guests feel at home. I highly recommend any of their campsites for romantic getaways or for family camping made easy. We'll be back for years to come.

The host, Chantelle, was welcoming and helpful. She built a fire in the common area for s’mores at night. We ended up setting up in “The Overlooking” spot and the view was beautiful. Lots of hiking trails and a lake near by. Would return!

Patrick is a great guy, very welcoming. We had a chance to Barbecue together, and it was a blast. Also, the nightly group camp fires are great! A bit close to the road, so if you're looking for very quiet accommodations you may not find them here, but the fresh eggs from the chickens and the hospitality definitely make up for any shortcomings. not super crowded and a nice space overall. Would stay with Patrick again!

We recently stayed at Riverview RV Park and Campground in Colorado for our anniversary, and it was the perfect getaway. What started as an unknown destination turned into a magical experience that exceeded all our expectations. The natural beauty of the area was incredible, with the sound and view of the river flowing nearby adding a serene, almost magical touch to our camping experience. The weather was absolutely perfect, making our time outdoors even more enjoyable. The campsites were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond. They were incredibly helpful and even delivered ice and firewood right to our site—something we truly appreciated. Riverview offers the ideal mix of peaceful nature and thoughtful service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to unwind in Colorado

Awesome stay with a great view from many of the different campsites. Fire rings, dedicated camping spots, restroom facilities, and access to Idaho Springs if needed. You’ll definitely want a car with AWD or 4-WD to make the hike up and down, but it’s worth it. It can get windy, so bring those good stakes.

We had a wonderful time at Dot and Byron's campsite. The beauty of the location and amenities made for a restful and fun weekend with friends. The accommodations were very cozy and we had a wonderful time sitting around the fire, cooking, and enjoying the quiet bliss of the Bliss Camp. Dot and Byron were great hosts, they were attentive and have made a little piece of heaven that they so kindly share. I can't recommend this spot enough for a relaxing getaway. Can't wait to come back sometime soon.

Our family has resided on this magnificent property for over 20 years. In the 1950s, before the home was built, our land was known as "the point." Lovers used to drive onto the property, park at the end of the lot which overlooks the eastern plains, and... you know... We live on 6.5 acres of stunning forested land located 1000 feet above downtown Boulder. Our property rests on a peninsula with views of the white-capped peaks to the west and the city lights to the east. The property feels far away from the bustle of city life, yet it is only an EIGHT-MINUTE drive to the heart of downtown Boulder's historic shopping district and ten minutes from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Vista Tranquila, the name given to our property by its previous owners, has trails to meander, picnic tables, horseshoes, swings hanging from the trees, a competitive-level trampoline, benches with views, and hammocks. The communal food prep area has a gas grill, a table for food prep, and a seating area. We request that guests pack out all trash. Since we do not provide stoves, pans, utensils, or cleanup facilities, please bring paper towels to wipe off your stoves, pans, dishes, and utensils. A well-maintained portable flush toilet is provided in a tall tent near the main residence. A spigot can be found with fresh well water on the back side of the main residence. We do not offer showers. However, the Boulder Recreation Center (a 10-minute drive) offers showers and other facilities for a small fee. You can enjoy a historic mining town experience with fine dining and live bluegrass/ folk music at the town of Gold Hill which is less than 20 minutes up our canyon. Kayakers, climbers, hikers, and cyclists (mountain, road, and gravel) will have an outdoor playground within a very short drive or right outside our door. World-class climbing located at Eldorado Canyon State Park is only a 25-minute drive. If you seek bigger peaks beyond Boulder Mountain Parks, the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park are a gorgeous 45-minute drive.

We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
