Weekend Trip to Bowman's Landing

We had a great time at Bowman's Landing. The little cabins are very clean and the AC worked great. Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were clean. They had bicycles we could borrow to use around the property. The whole area is well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back!

Camping with the whole field to myself. Wide open skies for the stars, and the sunset glow extended above the trees.

2 nights at Bowman's Landing

My 2nd stay at Bowman's, but first time with my 11 year old. It was amazing trip. Manatees swimming by the dock, the chickens grazing each morning, and the deer family at sunrise and sunset. I love this place even more than I did the first time I left.

1 night at Bowman's Landing

Bowman's Land was incredible, the drive in the woods was amazing, it was really nice set up, upon finding our Campsite #2, was great right next the river, my kids loved finding all the bugs. The area for the tent was perfect, there was a picnic table, and firepit. We had an amazing time! Also, the kids loved the dock with the water mat. Paddleboarding down the Santa Fe was just breath taking, fish kept jumping out of the water. It was just such a great campsite experience.

Weekend Trip to Jewel’s Sink

We loved camping here! We chose to tent camp and it wasn’t bad. We saw deer passing through the land and loved swimming in the sink. It was an amazing experience for us.

4 nights at Suwannee River Green Acres

The property was beautifully maintained and the river was amazing. Mike and Lara are very responsive and answered any questions we had quickly. This was our second time staying at Green Acres and it definitely won’t be our last time.

Weekend Trip to Royal Springs Riverfront Retreat

This is our second stay on this absolutely breathtaking riverside site and it can never disappoints! We are already looking at the calendar for our next stay. We love that there is not much service so we can disconnect from the world and enjoy our family with no distractions. The views are incredible and the nature is beautiful!

Such an amazing stay! Spacious and beautiful. Was able to rent kayaks and bought eggs from them and it was great! Only thing I’d recommend to stayers is to watch for ticks which is a given! But what a great private spot close to all kinds of nature

Our weekend stay was fantastic. Even though it was a holiday and parts of the river were crowded, it was always peaceful at this location. The bank was easy to use to launch our kayaks and just a short paddle up to the Ichetucknee River. We look forward to staying here again.

Judy was an amazing host! She walked us around their property and let us see all of the animals. The property itself is beautiful with lots of flowers and beautiful trees. The arrowhead sink was like stepping into a fairytale. The temperature down there is 72 and feels amazing after being out in the heat. We had tons of fun and would love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Glenn Farm

This was my first ever experience renting out a private primitive spot and it was absolutely perfect. Since it was Memorial Day weekend and we (myself, my partner, and my little brother) decided last second to take a trip, there was no camping available. I looked everywhere online and stumbled across the only space in the area for 30 miles.. Magnolia Sink on Glenn Farms. The land we stayed on was beautiful and away from all the craziness of Memorial Day weekend even though we were 10 minutes from Ginnie and Itchetucknee State park (right in the middle) Judy was extremely helpful and took us to our location where we set up camp and were able to come and go as we pleased with no worry about our stuff getting taken. The wildlife came out all hours of the day, but especially at dusk. We saw deer, rabbits, Judy’s sheep and cows, and even a random Turkey that came pretty close to our camp. The sunset was also wonderful from the open field with the trees surrounding it. Judy even offered to give us a little tour of the historical farm, but unfortunately our camp got rained out (we didn’t come prepared no fault of the site) and we had to leave a day early. Needless to say this trip was absolutely amazing thanks to Judy and Tom and we will be coming back soon and getting another spot on their beautiful farm! Note to add: If you want crazy and wild and partying, this isn’t the place for you. This is an area to appreciate the world and nature and someone’s private land. Stay respectful

Weekend Trip to Neal’s Nest

Nice quiet country camping spot. Great area for star gazing and very convenient to shopping. We loved how close it was to Cedar Key and enjoyed driving down there for dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms

After a very long day of traveling, the welcome we received was amazing. We were guided to our private site, shown all the hookups bathroom locations and even an invite for coffee in the morning. This place has real bathrooms and the hot shower was amazing at the end of our day. We only stayed one night so we could continue on our trip but we had a very peaceful evening and lots of rest. Highly recommend that you give this a visit.

Located halfway between Perry to the north and Steinhatchee to the south, Keaton Beach is an outpost town with a laidback, relaxing atmosphere. No motels, no fast food. These are prime scalloping waters from mid to late summer, and the area is famous for year-round fishing. We recently bought this property with an old hunting cabin owned by a well known baseball coach. The cabin is currently transformed into a residence. Glenn Farm

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

The Bird Ranch

Parking is only available at the bottom of the driveway for tent campers. All tent sites are less than a 5 minute hike up the trails. There is plenty of firewood available after 3 hurricanes in a year's time. The Bird Ranch is 4 acres of peaceful nature. We have 3 pioneer sites (2 with fire pits), and one RV hook-up (30 Amp power and water) to choose from. We never really know what wildlife is wondering around or when they might pop up. I will take all that over city noise any day of the week! The Gofer Turtles are protected wildlife here, but please do not disturb ANY of the animals or their homes. We have had kids destroy a turtle's home before, so please be mindful. The property has trails, an open field for games, and plenty of day outings to do. There are 2 natural springs (Royal Springs and Little River Springs) off the Suwannee River that are each a 10-minute drive. Branford Springs and Troy Springs are within 20 minutes. You can float down the Ichetucknee River on an innertube (seasonal), catch a local rodeo just down Hwy 129 or take a 3 hour round trip bike ride on the Suwannee River Greenway. The Mystic Jungle Educational Facility is a quick 15 minutes up Hwy 129 towards Live Oak, where you can learn about their wild animals on a guided tour, but they are only open on Saturdays. Cedar Key is a quiet little town 1.5 hours away with cute shops and restaurants for a nice day trip ***(also very messed up from hurricanes last year, so no promises)***. They roll up the streets after sunset; but what a beautiful sunset! There are also a few horseback riding ranches within 20 minutes from the property and if you're really adventurous and want to ride a camel; Lonesome Chicken Camel Ranch is less than an hour away. Call ahead to make sure they are open. Please be courteous of your fellow campers and my neighbors, by adhering to a 10 pm noise maintenance.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

Suwannee River Glamping

In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.
