Weekend Trip to Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch LLC

The site we stayed at was fabulous. It had a great view of the farm and the meadows yet it also had a nice view of the trees /woods that surrounded the area. There was a lot of activity yet it was also peaceful and serene. The goats and al pacas were fun to watch from our camp spot. Nice walks to go on. It is a dry camping but they have potable water if you need it (we did not as we brought our own) and they have porta potties as well. There's a lot to do here or just relax and rejuvenate. We had a great time and we will be back

What a cool site to camp out of. The creek and scenery were beautiful and it was easy to get in and out. I really enjoyed checking out Clark Fork and Southpoint about a half hour away. I can’t wait to come back again for a longer stay.

Weekend Trip to Harrison Bluffs Campground

The campsite was very nice and the view of the lake was amazing. It was enjoyable to wake up to the sound of the birds singing and the insects making their noises. The campground is also next to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes which is a very nice trail to ride the bike on. It's also down the road from the town of Harrison which is nice for eating and beers. The campground was clean and well kept and the toilet was also. I enjoyed my stay here and do recommend if you are in the area.

We had a great weekend at Glacial Ridge! The site was very easy to get to and the layout provided plenty of space for backing in our 35 foot travel trailer. Located just outside of Hayden it was a great spot for a lake trip as well as Silverwood. No trip to this site is complete without visiting the goat pen! Our kids made it a point to visit a few times a day. Norman and his wife were great hosts and let the kids visit with the goats during their evening meal. If you're stuck on where to stay for a weekend while in the area this is the place to be! Look forward to getting out there again soon!

Rachel was really kind and very responsive to my messages to help me figure out which site would be best for our group! The porta potty on site was the cleanest one I have EVER seen, and the land was so beautiful. The sites were a bit closer together than I thought they would be, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we couldn’t hear anyone else at all from ours. Honestly it was the perfect set up- private camp ground, picnic table, fire pit, bathroom, beautiful view of the lake, short 15 minute walk into Harrison for ice cream and swimming. The only bummer was that on the first morning of our stay we were woken up at dawn by loud sounds of the property next door doing excavating/logging work, which continued for the better part of the day. We recognize that this was totally out of Rachel’s control so no fault to her, but just something to keep in mind as I’m not sure how often that happens. It didn’t happen the second morning which was nice, however there is a rooster somewhere very nearby who is definitely an over achiever at his job.. he crowed with all his might both days haha. To some extent it was nice as it added to the out of the city feel, but after several hours of him crowing while trying to enjoy the quiet we did wish he would have settled down for the day haha.

Our secondary lot offers a scenic plot, removed from town but within easy driving distance of local activities and restaurants. You will park next to our shop, which offers privacy from the road, but please take note of its placement in our photos to ensure that will work for your stay. The main property and home are next door, and we are easily reachable if you need anything during your visit. We offer year round electrical hook-ups, and fresh water in Spring, Summer and Fall (the pipes are winterized from approximately the end of October-March, depending on the snow season). While there is only 1 electrical hook-up, there is space for an additional vehicle, and options for parking locations if electrical is not required. During your stay, keep an eye out for our neighborhood moose family, our year-round bald eagles, and our many deer, quail, and turkey friends. Winter camping is available, but please note that we can receive large amounts of snow. Please reach out with any questions! There are multiple dining options from breakfast to dinner within 7-10 miles. We have kayaks available upon request as there are multiple small lakes (Kelso and Granite Lake) less than 5 miles away. We are generally available and on-site 24/7 for any issues, questions and or problems that may need solved. In the case you forget anything at all……we can find it, fix it or provide it. We do not provide hook-ups but there is a gas station not far from the ranch that provides clean-outs. We provide excellent clean water and an extension cord. We also provide some of the friendliest cutest animals to visit. This is self-check-in so find your clearly marked site and park. You are on a livestock working ranch with well taken care of animals. We will greet you when we are able do so. We purchased this wonderful 40 acre ranch in our retirement years. We had never done ranching or farming before and wanted a new experience with this gift called life. Being long time hard working Alaskans and living the Alaskan Adventure we could see no reason to be in our golden years and not have another adventure. Our many different animals provide us with entertainment and a purpose. Mini Donkeys asking for a bum rub and braying for breakfast always brings a smile. Alpacas, Llamas and Valais Black Nose Sheep, provides us with beautiful rugs from their own fiber that we sell in the Seven Stars Store. The rest of the hats, gloves, blankets and wonderful socks come from Peru. Mini horses that love to be brushed and even have their hair braided all make for an unusual experience.
