Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp is far more than your ordinary campground! This 104-acre Ozark Mountain wonderland’s biggest draw would be hard to pin down. We are offering off-the-beaten-path serenity, with huge areas for each rental space, and unmatched hospitality. Sip morning coffee while you lose your cares in the vast mountain views, enjoy the pristine natural beauty that surrounds you in the deer meadow. Hike trails that meander to the seasonal creeks and waterfalls, past ancient walnut and hickory trees, to rest on large rock formations thick with moss, or take the high trails to the top of our bluff where views and natural oddities reward you at every bend, or just lay in the hammocks by the frog pond with a good book. Wildlife abounds on this property, including fox, black bear, deer, chipmunks, groundhogs, bobcat, and tons more. We offer fantastic add-ons like creation stations where tables of art supplies can be laid out for either self-initiated projects or sample projects with instruction by hostess, Mizzy (a working artist with pieces in every continent, save Antarctica). Forage hikes, where you learn about the immense variety of edible plants, guided photo op hikes, cut and make your own walking stick ( and make it your own by wood burning, adding leather and feathers), are just a few of the options we have daily to add to your stay. Close to the Little Buffalo River and the quaint little town of Jasper, where you can shop, eat at the famous Ozark Cafe, or rent a kayak. One-of-a-kind stays include a fully off-grid container tiny house, boondock RV space, super large tent spaces, and coming soon a hippy van sleeper, cordwood log cabin, (we encourage sustainable building questions) we may be farther off the beaten track than those roadside places, but we are so very worth it. This is my personal favorite tent site! It’s set back from the other sites, surrounded by ancient walnut and oak trees. The view here is the most spectacular on the camp proper, snugged in on 3 sides by stoic mountains, and tucked close to the frog pond, it will simply take your breath away. It butts against the forest so tons of wildlife travel right past. Live edge picnic table set and rock fire pit keep the mountain vibe, but it has its own little grill too. Solar string lights wind up one huge walnut tree to give that magical feel even after the sun sets. Campers can use the communal camp bathroom, which is totally off grid (passive solar shower, compost style toilet and exterior hand washing station with solar lighting inside and out). Trails are close with art all along the way to the gorgeous seasonal creek.

Authentic vintage 1966 Dodge is the jewel of Camp! Parked unders its own funky hippy shack, this hand painted beauty is the real deal. Mizzy's land was so beautiful! The creek was flowing really well over big rocks, and everything was so lush! I saw some great birds (summer tanagers, indigo bunting, warblers). Mizzy was so helpful and kind. She came to meet me when I arrived and gave me a tour even though it was raining, and she was quick to respond when I had questions.

I really enjoyed camping at Mizzy’s. The view was fantastic and she was a wonderful host. The trail to the creek has all kinds of little trinkets placed along for you to discover and the hike was very well thought out. The facilities are all very accessible, very well kept/clean and very convenient. The silence and peace of a good day lounging in the hammock and reading a good book by the pond was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended by this Adventure rider/moto camper.

My husband and I do a lot of moto camping. We load our bikes up and find a place to go. I came across Mizzy's land a few weeks ago and fell in love. She is an amazing host and the views are stunning. We hiked and say beautiful waterfalls. My favorite part was the hammock at the pond. I laid there for hours and listened to nature. It was the perfect anniversary trip!

We loved everything about Mizzy’s Enchanted Camp. Very serene and quiet. It was our first tent camping experience. We absolutely love it. Mizzy made sure we’re were very comfortable. Here camp site had a very clean flushing toilet. We highly suggest taking the fairy trail down to the water. It was a very easy hike.

Mizzy was a kind, friendly attentive, and responsive host. Pros: The Frog pond site was truly magical We listened to a variety of frogs and birds. You could hear wildlife moving around in the woods. There was artwork scattered in the trees and along the paths. The hike to the creek was lovely, and the creek itself was rushing, making several natural waterfalls and mini “rapids”. The “outhouse” has a flushing toilet, but is a walk up the hill and you will need a flashlight/lantern, as the camp is rustic, and there are tripping hazards and critters. Be aware: These items are not cons—they are mostly part of camping, but you should be aware: These items frog pond is very nearby. Stagnant water means lots of mosquitoes. Also there are small ticks everywhere. We used both Deet spray and natural repellants. Several got on me, my daughter and her dog but they mostly jumped off, though a couple latched on. I wore a hat with net when hiking. There are a lot of varieties of wildlife including snakes, squirrels, and even an occasional bear. We were not bothered by anything, but put food in car or bear-proof container. Cons: The rugged steps down to camp were wide and safe, but carrying stuff up and down the fairly steep grade was very vigorous for me (63 yo,, fair to good physical health). I should have thoroughly read other reviews that noted this fact. Would I recommend: Yes!! Would I return: Yes!! Just let someone else load and unload!

I love love love Mizzy’s land and her hospitality! She came out and checked on everyone to make sure we were comfortable. She explained how the land was set up and the hammock area was great. I loved being able to unplug and take photos. I definitely plan on going back!

This was a wonderful campsite and Mizzy was a great host. Easy to get to and yet it still felt secluded. We loved being able to hear the stream the entire time. There were other campers on site, but due to the layout of the land our stay still felt private. We recommend and hope to be back!

We had an absolute blast here! We took our dog and stayed in the van. We cooked and foraged and hiked! Beautiful place and Mizzy is great!! Definitely will be back!

Loved staying at the frog pond camp spot! It was a cute little spot nooked into the forest. It held us well for the spring equinox. And I loved its proximity to the fairy trail, so we could take morning hikes. We were also incredibly grateful this spot had water & electric! It was perfect for what we needed & actually had a hard time wanting to leave camp to go do our other adventures. We LOVED hearing the frogs sing us to sleep!! One thing to be aware of, this spot is located down a hill. So you will be carrying all your gear up & down. You also get to climb it each time you go to the bathroom. It’s definitely not a deal breaker! Just was a bit of an unexpected shock for us & we wanted to make sure others knew. Overall, we highly recommend staying here!! We can’t wait to go back

Mizzy was a wonderful host to us. Very pleasant setting with a great clearing of the meadow surrounded by the rolling Ozarks. Trail system along the pond and creek was perfect for our young children. One of the best night skies that I think I’ve ever seen as there is no light pollution. Very comfortable and clean bathrooms. Very easy to get to from Jasper. Will be back!

Beautiful spot for camping. There are other spots nearby but everyone was respectful of the other groups. Shower, toilets, fire ring and grill, and firewood are all on site for easy access!

We did tent camping and it was the best experience! Mizzy is so welcoming and sweet. The bathrooms were very clean and maintained well. The shower worked well and eventually warmed up despite it being colder. The site was so pretty. I highly recommend this place.

Mizzy was so kind and responsive; she was very helpful when I needed to change the date of my stay! The campsite was spacious, clean, and beautiful. I enjoyed getting to see the sunrise over the field this morning, and I loved the personal touches around the campsite to make it feel special. I would definitely stay here again!

Frog pond on the mountain elect/wtr
We had so much fun camping at the Frog Pond. This is a beautiful place to be. We went for my birthday and I loved every minute. We took beautiful walks through the Ozarks accompanied by Mizzy’s art that lives with nature and makes you feel like a fairy is leading you through the trails. Top notch stargazing, birdwatching, and peace. I cannot wait to return.

Property was well kept. With an excellent view. No artificial lighting so the night sky was absolutely incredible. Only visitors were wildlife. Secluded enough for quiet enjoyment but close enough for any needs that should come up. The connex cabin was great. Cozy but with enough windows to effectively manage airflow to adjust temperature even without the supplied fan. Lighting inside the cabin had no issues. All needs were well taken care of. Mizzy is an incredible host, felt like family. Don't think it could have been any better. Plan to return next year.

So Much More Than We Expected!

We love to go camping and can't go often enough. Our first choice is often the Buffalo River, but I had two dogs (one blind, one a puppy) that I couldn't leave behind, but didn't want to have to worry about around the river. So we needed an out of the ordinary dog-friendly site that gave me the privacy I crave on trips like this. We found it all with Mizzy's Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp, Retreat and Mini Cabins. Mizzy herself is just lovely--kind, welcoming, and easy to work with. The grounds are beautiful (The view is gorgeous), the sites are huge, and it's obvious she and her husband have put a great deal of thought into the layout and the appearance of the entire place. I really want to come back sometime with our granddaughters in tow so they can experience Mizzy's tea party and crafts.

The place was clean and there was a good vibe all the away around. The spots aren’t as secluded as I anticipated but still far enough away to not be an annoyance. The flush toilets are a nice addition! Would stay here again!

This is such a nice way to camp! We reserved the spot around the container and also used the container. Camping with kids for the first time you never know how sleep will go. This was wonderful peace of mind to have the beds and the compostable bathroom close by. Beautiful spot! Thank you Mizzy for being such a great host!

We absolutely adored camping on Mizzys land! The land really is enchanting! She has put so much work into the property and is so knowledgeable about the land. We really enjoyed our fairy tea party! We got to forage with the host and she taught us all about the different edible herbs and plants on the land. The campsite was peaceful and beautiful. The flushing toilet was very clean and worked well. We found the place easily with the directions from the host. It’s about a 15 min drive to the little town of Jasper where we enjoyed lunch one day. There are a few trails on the property that we explored as well! Our dog also enjoyed the trip :) Highly recommend!
