Parking the RV under a giant shade tree for the Memorial Day weekend was a great treat. It's always a treat to sleep by a vineyard! There were other campers, all friendly. It's a short drive to several other wineries and the river making it am amazing location. Aaron's is a great host, and makes delicious cider. We will be back, Thanks Aaron!

Very chill spot to camp. It’s on Aaron’s winery, and he does wine tastings for guests which was a great experience that we didn’t plan on but just went with it and was the highlight of our evening. Campsite itself was very suitable, a little close to RV’s (we were in a tent) but otherwise fine. Only issue was the porta potty which was not clean- Aaron mentioned that the company had not been able to make it out there to service it that week unfortunately. We were able to use the bathroom inside the wine cellar during the day which was fine, and early morning late night just opted to find a spot in the bushes rather than the porta potty. Road was a little bumpy but our RWD vehicle was able to handle it, albeit with a couple of nasty bumps (our car doesn’t have great ground clearance). If these issues are fine for your purposes than I would highly recommend the campsite.

The area was nice, tent was clean and Aaron was very hospitable. The wine and cider tasting was a great plus to the proximity of the tent and pet friendly!

Was not happy at all my family of three was put out in the middle of nowhere next to no other camper had no bathroom access and even though in the site it says campfires allowed they are in-fact not and he will charge you to rent a propane stove not satisfied with my stay.

Booked last minute and a great choice! Beautiful property, vineyard…views ….winemaker ….cider making guru. Aaron gave an impromptu tasting and crazy good educational experience about what and why he makes his wines and ciders “his” way. So good! Campsites kinda close together but lots of privacy and no issues with noise etc. Planning to stay there again soon!!

we had a gorgeous time at Aarons vinyard! the property was breathtaking, Aaron was available and very accommodating, and the porto potties were very clean. i highly, highly recommend scheduling a tasting, Aarons wines and ciders were DELICIOUS and he excellently guided us thru with enthusiasm and knowledge. only qualm is that the sites are both very close together and also to the road (not as secluded as we'd initially hoped), but it was everything that was listed and more! river access ~15 mins away ~ thank you, Aaron!

Incredible views, peaceful and safe

This place is a treasure! I wish I had arrived earlier so I could have enjoyed it to the fullest but I’m so glad I arrived at sunset because it was truly breathtaking. The site was clean and I had plenty of space to spread out since no one was in the site next to me. I slept extremely relaxed and comfortable, the weather was perfect and I felt very safe. This is an excellent Hipcamp and I will definitely be back!

Such a great stay with a kind and wonderful host! This was a last-minute stop as we camped our way from Sacramento to SLC, and it ended up being a real highlight of the trip. Meeting other campers who shared the same love for wine, nature, and connection made the experience even better. Watching the sunset over the vineyard and the distant hills felt like a perfect moment. Would definitely stay again.

MOST GO! I loved my stay here!! Definitely add the "taste and tour of the winery" IT WAS SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Aaron our host was so knowledgeable and passionate about his wine. I bought 5 of his bottles!! And I tried each one from the tasting. I also will be back to his seminar where you can create your own. His wine is vegan and organic. His wine is also naturally fermented which I LOVE! Will definitely stay here again but not in my camper van but in his yurts!

What a wondeful place this is! Offering a calm hilltop spot with great scenery, it's a secure and comfortable secluded place to come relax and escape. My partner and I stayed here recently and even though it was storming a bit we had an amazing time; this winery/campsite is a lovely little nook settled in a beautiful area, it's a great central location for exploring the Fairplay area and we got a very reasonable price for our stay, would absolutely recommend. We really appreciate our time here, with such a friendly host, lovely countryside, and tasty wines, you can bet we'll be coming back and I'm certain you can guess where we'll be staying.

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite! It was exactly as described—private, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Everything was well-maintained, and we truly appreciated the seclusion. A special highlight of our trip was the cider tasting session with Aaron. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about his vineyard, the cider-making process, and the nuances of growing grapes. It was such a memorable experience, and we left with a whole new appreciation for craft cider. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to return in the future!

Unique and memorable

Such a cool experience camping here! Aaron was great host; met us upon arrival, showed us how to get down to the camp site and did us a solid with an awesome wine tasting experience. Some of the best wine we’ve ever had (and the food was also amazing). Loved the off the grid experience. The tent kept us way warmer than we thought and did I mention the stars?! Definitely recommend ✨

Loved Glamping on Aaron’s property! The perfect place if you’re looking for a “reset” and/or want some peace and quiet. My boyfriend and I did the wine tasting and tour with Aaron and it was really fun getting to know him and getting a taste of his delicious wine. I plan to come back sometime during the summer. Amazing sunsets and sips!

Aaron was super inviting and the camp ground was beautiful. We also went down for a wine tasting and learned a ton about the vineyard and Aaron’s wonderful natural wines and ciders. Besides that, the vineyard is positioned for amazing evening views of the mountains and spectacular sunsets.

This was our 1st time using Hipcamp our76 trip in just over 3 years . Aarons property is beautiful and the views ae amazing. Aaron is knowledgeable and helpful making sure our stay was great. The porta potty bathroom was extremely clean. We have shared with friends and cant wait to go back.

Aaron has a lovely property and some very tasty wines and ciders! We went up for the night and enjoyed a tasting with our fellow campers. Aaron made us feel right at home. It was fun hearing about his wine-making process and the tasting notes while being so intimately situated among the vineyards. And the sunset from the tasting patio was phenomenal! We would absolutely come stay again.

We loved our 2 night stay at Gold Dust Vineyard with our Tall Boy teardrop camper! Peaceful and beautiful setting with so many stars at night, and amazing sunsets. Aaron provided a great wine and hard cider tasting experience. His passion for his craft is very apparent. Met some really nice fellow campers as well. We will for sure be back!

Aaron was an amazing host and I had an amazing time in their property drinking wine, going swimming in their local swimming hole, and eating lots of local donuts thanks to Aaron’s recommendation. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for a getaway to a quiet spot!

I loved the whole experience even if it was just for 1 day/night. Everything was as in line with what was advertised. Aaron was kind to show me the place and guide me with some best practices on how to drive on dirt roads. He additionally exactly pin pointed where I could park and access the river from. Me and my dog enjoyed the river all by ourselves. An unparalleled experience. The view of the stars at night were spectacular. I will absolutely come back to experience more of this.
