The land was beautiful. Quiet other than the animals. Very open. Plenty of room to explore and pitch camp. Far enough away from other campers. Only downfall is no shade. So be prepared and bring something. Thankful we had a canopy with us. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice view, plenty of space between campsites. Running spring water for hydration, a proper toilet and shower. I recommend anyone to go if they want to get to know some of California

MWC was a lovely spot, felt very isolated even with the other three camps nearby. Luckily we were the only ones there when we went. Fun little area to explore, and great spot to catch some stargazing.

I had a beautiful, peaceful weekend at Campsite 1. The site was expansive with a gorgeous view in every direction. I loved that the fire pit had a grill to use. I appreciated the firewood and wine the hosts left. That was a wonderful surprise. The sky was magical and magnificent! It was very cold at night because it’s November but still nice and warm during the day. I will definitely be back!

The campsite was wide open with beautiful scenery! My dog was so happy and absolutely loved it. My son captured the amazing views with his camera. I can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful landscape. Perfect for just looking at stars. Nearby campers you can kind of hear but very private. Great setup with picnic table, fire place (wood and all necessities to get it started was avail). Grill grate for cooking which was great. Would definitely come back.

Awesome very remote campground with beautiful views on the mountains surrounding and a huge space to yourself perfect to feel alone and let your dogs run around. Gets really hot in the Summer so be ready to drive 1 hour to find somewhere to dip in and cool off. But still so worth it for the peace of having your own campground without neighbors blasting music or getting drunk, or both, as we sadly experienced in many “regular” campgrounds where your site is just big enough for your tent and belongings.

Superb spot that’s beyond accommodating. Host deserves kudos for keeping a clean campsite and tools needed for fire/cooking grate. Camp had comp bottle of wine for us as well. Easy to access with a total of 4 campsites, but during our trip we were the only ones on the land. Great spot for a little getaway with a great sense of privacy and amazing views of the mountains/valley. Will be back!

Let's start with the pros. The land was gorgeous - think high desert, with huge vistas. Also the host was very responsive and provided a list of great activities to do while there. I very much appreciated this.
Unfortunately though, there were a couple of important details that would make me not recommend this site. First, campsite 1 was very close to campsite 2. So close you could easily see and hear the guests at the other site. To make matters worse, the guests at the other site brought a speaker and were blasting music late into the night. Listening to someone else's dance music is not the experience I'm looking for when camping.
Secondly the bathroom situation felt pretty gross. I say this as someone who is an experienced backcountry camper. The toilet was simply a bag lined bucket with a seat on top. It was set inside an outhouse structure without any privacy, not even a simple curtain type of closure. I feel that just a little more thought into the outhouse would have made the experience of going to the bathroom so much better.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The valley is amazing and the hiking is breathtaking. A short hike up onto the mesa will make you feel like you just found another world. Wildlife everywhere and incredible stars, sunrises and sunsets. The sites are completely private and well thought out. This was our fourth time here and we will be back for next year's super bloom as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Mari!

My Way Camp was perfect! The directions were super helpful and clear. The spot is so beautiful and peaceful. The host had everything we needed at the site and also added some personal touches that were very thoughtful. I will definitely plan on staying here again.

My favorite spot to camp so far. I enjoyed how open everything is. Camp spot 1 has so many trees and multiple spots to choose. My dog loved running around and knowing nobody was around was even better. We got a little rain in the morning but I was prepared and loved it! I definitely recommend camping here. This was our first time desert camping and off grid camping. Enjoyed both. The location is fantastic. The views were amazing and the stars at night beautiful. The hosts really go above and beyond with their camp sites. The one thing that was really special was they left a capri sun for my son along with the bottle of wine. What a special touch. He really appreciated it.

The tent camping was spectacular. The stars were amazing, as the light pollution was extremely low. A lot of wildlife making noises at night and all around it was great. The views were extremely beautiful with the hills in the distance. I really liked the lights that were on the trees and restroom area.
However,
1.) Some sort of machine or generator persisted loudly from the morning into late at night, which kind of took some of the enjoyment from stargazing. I’m assuming it might have been from the other campers but it was in the distance, so i’m not entirely sure.
2.) no cell service, (atleast for AT&T) it might be something to list for the campsite. It was only a minor difficulty for getting GPS for the way home. Although this didn’t hurt the trip at all, as it comes with the territory of camping.
Overall, I would highly recommend this spot.

What a beautiful lookout! Perfect for those that want private dispersed dry camping. They gave us complimentary wine and had trash cans provided. The little outhouse is cute and simple. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Have started at My Way a ranch a number of times and it never disappoints. The sites provide a peaceful respite when I’m escaping from LA for the weekend. This spring the area so green with lots of wild flowers. Highly recommend!

The doggos and I really enjoyed our brief stay here. This wasn't my first visit to the area, I've stayed at other Hipcamp host locations nearby in the Cuyama Valley (an area I love), but this was the first time at Chris's property and it did not disappoint. Chris was very welcoming, super friendly, and provided some great insider information about local exploring/hiking opportunities. I didn't really have time to utilize that intelligence but plan on doing so in the future and will return. The camps sites are nicely spaced apart and well kept. The courtesy bottle of wine and fresh eggs were a nice welcoming treat.

I truly enjoyed my weekend getaway on Chris’s land. She met me with a bottle of wine and 6 fresh eggs. It was quiet and peaceful. I had my own private bathroom with a view! I will definitely go back again.

Very convenient location and the place is beautiful. Open and wild, with nice homey touches.
There are 4 sites close by, but you can’t really hear or see the others.
Chris was very welcoming and her dog was very sweet to ours.
