Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
The goal for this ranch is to plant orchards, a farm, and oak trees.  The Beautiful Genesee Valley is voted "the Most desirable area to live in Plumas County". The valley boasts of cattle ranches, sweeping valleys lined by the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, and pristine meadows literally bursting with life.  This area, home to beautiful valleys and inspiring vistas is also rich with the history of the Maidu Indian, early American settlers, gold mining, ranching and logging. In fact, a drive along the highways linking Quincy to Indian Valley and Susanville will put you on the ancient trail through the land of the Mountain Maidu Indians, a trail, known to the Maidu people as the Worldmaker’s Trail.  Rural living and community, rich history and a natural wonderland make the Indian and Genesee Valley area a place to “come home”.

Private Genesee Camping Unplug

RV/tent site · Sleeps 3 · Vehicles under 10 m
The Genesee Valley is one of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen. The energy is amazing!!! Genesee is surrounded by reservoirs, lakes, & creeks. This land is 80% Timber Management Zone, conifers and oaks. There are meadows, hundreds of deer & turkeys walk around the property, fox, & rare & endangered animals, & flora. It is a treat to quietly watch Mother Nature at ease!! The camp site is up on a knoll, surrounded by trees & wild life. It is very private, but we placed the site close enough to the house that you can enjoy the large deck. Look-up how many lakes & reservoirs are surrounding Genesee; Antelope Lake is a lovely drive, & only about 10-miles from here. Get away, get-away from G5, relax, unwind & unplug, & refresh your perspective.

Master, Farmhand Accommodations

Booked 1 time
Onsite RV/trailer · Sleeps 2
Sometimes I have an extra bedroom in the Funky Doublewide Trailer Farmhand Accommodations. This is the master suite. It is large and spacious. It has a large shared living-room, kitchen and dining-room. In the winter there is a large wood stove for heat. This is on a 130-acre farm, mostly devoted to management of forest and meadow lands. There is a large garden, and we are installing the animal pen for the tiny Nigerian Goats, and endangered birds.
