The place was perfect. Perfect location set in a little town with some really good restaurants and 15 minutes from the south entrance to Yosemite. Cottage was perfect, host was super accommodating. One word, perfect.

Had such a great time camping here over the long weekend! The spot is beautiful and right by the river. The site has a fire pit, table, water and a bathroom - all were clean and well maintained. The site felt private even though there’s one neighbor nearby. The hosts were really communicative and the directions were easy to follow, which made everything super smooth. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, and our dog loved it. Definitely would come back!

I stayed at this Hipcamp for 3 nights in my 15' teardrop camp trailer mid-May 2025. Really enjoyed it. The campsite was large and quiet except for the creek/waterfall sounds which were very nice.

We had a wonderful time on Hudson and Wendy’s land! The space is well set-up, with a fire pit and chairs, the waterfall right next to the site is beautiful, and the hosts were super helpful and kind. Would highly recommend!
The waterfall is quite loud if that’s something you’re sensitive to, but we found the sound to be calming :) Thank you for sharing your space with campers, Hudson & Wendy! ✨

Beautiful tent camping spot
Beautiful site for tent camping! My girlfriend and I camped here for one night before heading to Yosemite the next day, and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is right next to a lovely river with a few waterfalls in sight! It was very quiet and peaceful, and the hosts were very kind and amenable. I definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re looking to head to Yosemite.

What a gem this is! We loved our stay in this cozy little cabin. We enjoyed having our coffee & breakfast out on the deck each morning while listening to the birds. Simply magical. Bath house is definitely a little drive down the road. It’s really too long & steep to walk it. Just a heads up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & highly recommend!

This was so incredible! I definitely plan on going again in the future. The host was super sweet and the lil cabin was so cozy. I was worried about being cold but it was not a problem at all in fact I got a little warm in there!! The view of the waterfall from the cabin is also Stellar. Just so awesome!

Secluded Creekside Tent/RV Site w/ Waterfall Views
This is the kind of place that Hipcampers reserve based on a description on the website, then cross their fingers that reality will live up to the photos. It is a very large, flat, and wooded SINGLE spot next to a wide forest creek, set below multiple levels of rocky waterfall. The creek is lined by boulders, and you have this whole lovely section of creek to yourselves. The aggregate surface of the site has good drainage, so even after days of heavy storms we had very little mud to deal with and firewood, delivered by the host, is $15 for a whole night's worth.
We were here over Xmas 2024 in a 23-foot Winnebago Ekko, which looks and drives like a big ambulance. This is a dry camp site, although the hosts provide an extension cord and access to a water hose from their house about 260 feet above the site. Our Starlink satellite system worked, and there is a dump station ON SITE with a standpipe that makes it particularly easy to dump a cassette toilet. There is a shower/bathroom building next to the hosts’ home, which makes this a great site for tent campers, but using it will require climbing a steep and winding path.
Getting to the campsite is not for the faint-hearted, especially if your vehicle doesn’t do well on hairpin turns. Seriously, the whole little neighborhood must look like nodules off a paperclip from GoogleEarth. We bottomed out and scraped a lot getting in and out, so I would recommend this spot for high-centered camper vans and tent campers.

Unfortunate Camping Experience
I had booked a night for my birthday and my husband and I unfortunately never made it to the camp site as I had texted Wendy when I got there and never received a reply about the directions to the actual campsite. Upon booking it's stated that you text the host because you're supposed to meet with them when arriving and they take you to your campsite location, that was not the case. My phone had died while I was waiting and due to the fact that the Google map directions had ended in front of someone's house and my husbands phone was slowly dying as well (my car charger port doesn't work), we felt weird waiting in someone's driveway so we left back home which was a 5hr drive. I finally received a reply back from Wendy a couple minutes before I had already gotten home and put my phone on the charge for it to start. Had we stayed and waited for a reply we would've been in front of someone's house for over 5hrs. The communication after was incredibly long like the first reply and it was along the lines of "oh no that's a bummer that happened I hope you're able to visit us again sometime, happy holidays". I can't help but feel that had the actual directions been given upon booking a night and proper communication was had this situation wouldn't have happened. It was very upsetting driving 10 hours in one day and not being able to spend my birthday in a location I had paid for. I will definitely never be booking with someone who has a 5-11hr response time again.

This is a wonderful little hidden spot that is only 20 minutes from Yosemite! My girlfriend and I got to the cabin a bit late and were worried it was gonna be cold but the cabin was very warm with plenty of blankets provided. It was amazing to feel disconnected from everyone and be in our own tiny little area. Wendy made checking in and our stay very easy and welcoming and we would love to come back another day!

We loved staying at Wendy and Hudson’s cabin! Such a cute little space perfectly located for our trip. It’s close to a cute town with food, gas, bars and a 20 minute drive to the entrance of Yosemite. The cabin was extremely clean, warm, and has a view of a little waterfall across the way (we went in Oct). Highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely camping trip on Hudson and Wendy’s land. The creek and waterfalls were beautiful. Sleeping by the sound of moving water was just the thing to relax into a deep sleep. You have water and electricity there for you. The fire ring is set up for you as well. We liked that people were around but in their homes. The weather was perfect. We were able to meet Wendy upon entering. She is a lovely person that is kind and helpful.
If you are looking to reconnect with nature and the people you are camping with, this is the place.

Beautiful stream-side site
Unbelievably beautiful spot settled right along a nice stream. Wonderful to listen to as you go to sleep. About 20 minutes from the south entrance of Yosemite. Only briefly met Wendy but she was lovely and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We really liked staying there with the kids and a puppy. Beautiful site with a lot to explore. Kids were excited to see crayfish with blue spots. Waterfalls are tall and beautiful.

Perfect! Nice private space, just above a roaring creek. Short drive on an unmaintained dirt road, but well worth it. Close by Oakhurst has all the conviences for any needs.
Enclosed Luggable Loo close by. But, a very nice bathroom complete with a shower is a short hike up next to the host house. Well worth it, nice, quiet and private. Highly recommend!

Overall, we would absolutely stay here again! And recommend it to fellow travelers trying to take in the beauty of the area such as Yosemite, Mariposa Grove, etc.
Pros: Very private. Beautiful surroundings. The sound of running water from a stream just feet away. You literally have the place to yourself, no other campers.
Also, they give you access to a bathroom adjacent to their house, which is a full bath and very clean and modern. This is a huge amenity not found at most campsites. It was honestly and unexpected surprise!
Cons: Only con we could think of, but wanted to give a thorough review… upon entering the campsite, you have to pass their neighbors house, which it’s obvious they are hoarders. At first we got nervous, passing by, but then quickly realized how beautiful it was once we parked for our first night, and our anxiety was put at ease. Occasionally we would hear the neighbor searching for what we assumed was a pet “Mary” usually around dusk and late at night. The first night this was a bit creepy but then we realized what was happening.
Also, some cars would occasionally come down the drive only to turn around quickly and go back up the hill. These were neighbors parking for the evening. No one bothered us.
Overall, we had a great stay! Thank you!
