A beautiful, secluded, flat campsite nestled in the mountains. Waking up to the view was a pretty magical experience. My pup and I had a great stay here. It was a bit muddy but I knew about the rain going in so came prepared. We’ll definitely be back.

Gorgeous, peaceful property. We loved this Hip Camp and are grateful to Rebecca for sharing it. We have a 28' travel trailer and I don't think we'll be back because we damaged our stabilizers on the sharp turn into the property. The one lane road wasn't ideal, but we took it slow and honked our horn on turns. We understand these are usually the types of risks you have to take if you want to find a Hip Camp with privacy and you are definitely rewarded for the effort. The site itself is flat and large and very clean. The porta potty was in great condition. We woke up to cotton tail bunnies frolicking in the site each day. The drive into town or to the beach wasn't terribly long. Maybe 15-20 minutes. If we come back with a smaller trailer we would love to stay again.

Our stay at this campground in Half Moon Bay was absolutely fantastic! The views were breathtaking, with wide open spaces that easily accommodated our large group and multiple vehicles. It’s rare to find a spot this spacious so close to the Bay Area, yet it truly felt like we had escaped into the mountains.
The real highlight, though, was the incredible host, Rebecca. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even personally guiding us to our campsite. Her kindness and accommodating nature made the experience even more special.
Despite only staying for one night, we all wished we could have stayed a week! The convenience of having a porta potty on-site was a huge plus, making the trip even more comfortable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-managed campground near the Bay Area, this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Very peaceful. The drive is roughly 20 mins from town but worth it. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had. We will be staying here again in the future.

I loved this place, it was a flat land that was private. The host was great and friendly to interact. It felt far away from the madding crowd in the Bay but so close to everything.

Lovely level spot with views of the rolling hills. And so quiet. Hard to find that kind of quiet camping in the Bay Area. Appreciated the privacy with no other campers. Also appreciated the clean porta potty. The road in is winding with many blind turns and sometimes single lane but fortunately it's well paved and not very travelled. Go slow and be aware.
Rebecca was very communicative before the trip as weather was a little unknown. But it all turned out perfect. Would definitely return.

We loved this site for our last minute Thanksgiving weekend. The place was easily marked off the road, accessible outdoor restroom. Huge space to spread out, and incredibly quiet. We’ll come back again.

I had such a peaceful stay at Lobitos Creek Big Flat. The camping area is massive and incredibly private—you're the only camper here! Quite enjoyed watching the deer, rabbits, hawks, and more. I would certainly camp here again!

The big flat is a really convenient place to set up camp. The view was nice, the space is private, didn't see anyone all weekend.
Getting up the hill before the property is a bit steep. Wouldn't recommend anything bigger than a short base sprinter van. Otherwise an excellent place to get out of the city and feel like you are in the mountains.

We had a fantastic stay at Lobitos Creek. The peacefulness of the area, coupled with the stunning views of the redwood ridges, made it a perfect spot to unwind. Being surrounded by nature, with no distractions, allowed us to fully enjoy the tranquility.
The site itself is very private, spacious, and dog-friendly, which we appreciated. The proximity to the coast and nearby trails was ideal for some light hiking.

The location is great for being so close to the ocean but not right on it. We honestly picked the worst weekend to go as the temps were almost in the triple digits.

Amazing off grid spot close to Half Moon Bay!
We loved this stop so much we extended our stay there for 4 more nights. Used it as a great base camp between San Francisco, the Bay Area, the beaches, and Half Moon Bay.
I pulled a heavy 30 ft travel trailer to the spot, the road is definitely twisty turvy but you can make it, don't get worried.
Host was super accommodating, location is big and flat

Third time camping here. Would happily come again. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Large space to set up. Really enjoyed mornings, watching the fog lift and the Rabbits play.

Off the beaten trail, up a road made for road biking, is a private knoll perfect for several tents or campervans. There are some trails nearby or you can explore Purisma park for hiking or mountain biking. Coast is close.

Rebecca's land is in a very special part of the world. The view is to the southeast, looking at the rolling hills and Santa Cruz mountains. It's a bare bones spot - just a picnic table and the land. We had a great experience there.
