Site 2 North Meadow is very flat.
This was a very peaceful, quiet, relaxed location in a cattle field (no cattle present!). Close to town, but in the country. Dark skies at night! I would be pleased to come here again. The host, Darleene, was very helpful!

This was our second time visiting site 1 on the property. It is fairly flat and large enough for our Jeep and off-road trailer. It is a peaceful and private site. The property is centrally located near many wineries. I would highly recommend this property. It is a hidden gem.

This property requires you to be self reliant/sufficient. If you are, this is an excellent property. Darleene met us at the site and chatted for a bit. She is a wonderful hostess. The campsite was clean, fairly level, quiet and very private. We camped 2 nights in a pop-up camper van, but the site would have easily accommodated a very large tent. Water was provided some distance away from our spot, but no electricity or toilet. This was not an issue for us as we had brought our own water, electricity, and toilet. No fires are allowed, but that is common in California. So we brought a Jackery and an electric hot plate for cooking - worked just fine. The property is just a short distance from many wineries. We visited Cass, Sculptera, Pear Valley and Sensorio. All were wonderful in their own way. We also went into town for a day and spent time tasting wine and olive oil. Our favorites were Cloak and Dagger for wine and Jeffrey’s BBQ for lunch. At the property, we saw wild rabbits, and heard an owl, a rooster and some cattle. We were told there are deer on the property, but we didn’t see or hear any. This property is just what we were hoping for and was perfect for us. We enjoyed it very much and plan to return so please don’t take “our” spot!!

We loved our stay at Site 1. It was large with a good flat area. It was very peaceful, private and close to town and wineries. Darleene was a great host. She was friendly and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back.

Site 2 North Meadow is very flat.
We very much enjoyed staying on Darleene’s land! We booked two of her sites for a getaway with some friends. Beautiful field and great views! Darleene was incredibly kind and welcoming, highly recommend!

Darleene was super sweet and accommodating! The site is secluded and surrounded by beautiful Oak trees. Ground is a little hard for stakes but I managed to pitch my tent with a bit of effort. Finding the place is easy and it is only a 10 minute drive from downtown Paso. Would recommend!

Easy access, safe, clean, quiet, affordable and hosted by wonderful people. Sunrise and sunsets over the Rollinghills add to the experience. Closest Hipcamp location to the Vina Robles Amphitheater, a great outdoor venue for all music types. Be prepared with all camping necessities.

She’s a great host but the site has no shade . When I tried to get into the shade the tree branches were too low and scraped off the roof of the trailer . We did go on a very hot day though. There was lots of privacy which was great .

Thank you so much Darleene for the hospitality and opening up your land for our trip! We had an amazing time lounging, cooking, disconnecting and enjoying the sun while walking the property with our dog.
The amenities are:
Potable water - Darleene was kind enough to allow us to use her well for restocking on water which was super helpful
Restaurant/grocery store - this is huge for us as we enjoy cooking meals everyday. Grocery store and restaurants less than 10 minutes away from property to re supply if need be.
Privacy - we were the only campers there but the sites seemed to be spaced out to allow privacy
Space - we brought our 20ft tent with us and we had plenty of space to also have a kitchen and shower/bathroom tent.
Darleene has plans to add more amenities to her site in the near future. We will definitely be back and again thank you for everything!

Marlene is a wonderful hostess. She called and checked on me and told me if I needed anything to call her and I did! Her property is so quiet and peaceful. Very close to downtown Paso Robles. If you are self contained, I would highly recommend her place.

Darlene’s property was nice, quintessential Central California with nice oaks. We were the only visitors during our stay so very private. A she was a nice host, meet us at checkin and was left to ourselves the rest of the stay. Would stay again, just be aware there are no amenities you just get your spot to stay but it’s very nice.

The entry gate to the open pasture was very narrow and difficult to drive your vehicle. Other than that, the designated spot was clean and peaceful.

Amazing spot in Paso Robles right along Union Rd with a bunch of wineries. Check out Sensario if you can in the evenings between Thursdays and Sundays. Darleene was very helpful and welcoming as I got there after sundown my first night. Make sure to follow the instructions below the map to make sure you’re going in the right direction. The link from the map does not go to the right spot to meet the host.

Great place for sun and stargazing. When the sun got to be too hot, we opened all the van windows and had a really great cross breeze. Stargazing was unreal and just astounding.
I booked last minute and while I was on the go so Darleen was kind enough to guide us in after dark. We stayed for four nights and had peaceful privacy. One other camper was there for 2 of our 4 days but we never saw them. Plenty of space for our two vans and 4 people/ 4 dogs to have lots of moving around room. Thanks for a great stay!

First time camping in Paso. Ground was hard and dry, but no ants or pests to be found. Each campsite was private even though they were a stone's throw away from each other. Very easy to find and get out of to explore town which is only minutes away. Great location to bring in your gear, setup camp and chill. My dog and I had a relaxing, undisturbed weekend. Thank you Darlene for the no nonsense campsite.

We loved staying here! Darlene is wonderful and the location is fantastic. Very quiet and great star gazing. Our two dogs loved the experience. Easy access to downtown. As others have commented, the entry gate is a bit narrow. We took it slow in our 18 ft 6 in long NuCamp Tab 400 which is 7 ft 6 in wide. We made it fine, but definitely needed two people (driver and spotter).
I think anything bigger would have an issue.
We look forward to returning again next time we are in Paso Robles.

Really enjoyed the stay!
Easy proximity to vineyards and town of Paso.
Two couples in a tent-trailer and van camper, guided by the host to the back corner of the lot. She showed us a private and quiet spot with some tree shade for late afternoon, oak tree views, and a lot of space from any other people/lights/noise.
We are into star gazing: big bonus this was scenic and private, well spaced from neighbors! Nicely shielded from Paso town or street lights!
Fenced and open large camp area-- Dog loved that part too!
Perfect retreat for us, absolutely would return.
Notes to help prepare:
No amenities (tables/garbage/water), but we are self contained and usually pick the rustic and lower maintenance areas for stars and privacy. GPS/directions were great!
Heads up:
The entry (opening in the fence) is fairly narrow and in the farthest corner of the driveway, and was a little tight for our trailer. Just take it slow, and know to watch it. (May be tight for a bigger RV or trailer.)
Host plans to expand width eventually, but check ahead if bigger rig/longer trailer!

Our host gave us perfect directions to their beautiful grassland nestled between blue oaks and vineyards. We arrived after dark and set up camp on a flat spot and woke up to a beautiful landscape with all the best sounds of country wildlife. The location is close to numerous wineries, town for any necessities, and to a number of great hikes. We had all the privacy we could ask for with the comforts of car camping. Thanks again, Darleene!
