Welcome to Oracle Oak Grove Oracle Oak is located in the Oak Savannas, in Nisenan territory, in Nevada City California. Home of the Nisenan Rancheria Natives, the Deer Creek Watershed. Currently stewarding these lands are some very hand crafty & gardening witches. We are stewards of this land, graciously grateful to grow food such as corn, broomcorn, pumpkins, flowers, and watermelons under the sun. This land is located less than 20 mins to multiple different Yuba River access points. We are also located in the Armpit of Nevada county with 3 access ways 15 mins each way to Grass Valley, Nevada City or Penn Valley. The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails. Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views. Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options. We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields. There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season. We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well. We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter. The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut! The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4. This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance. The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it. Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course. We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed. We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season. If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. Enjoy the smell of cedar, chlorine free waters under the stars. Enjoy and hopefully you come and experience the Magic we have made Stewarding these acres. PLEASE come check in before DARK. We are in a very Rural Area and it can be difficult to see a night where to park and camp. We have pathways and lights to guide, but there is a DESIGNATED parking zone and a cart available to carry your stuff to your CAMPSITE. This is not a CAR Camping spot there is ONE car camping site and the rest you is a very short walk to your site. Thank you.

Land of wild witches, cackling under the stars surrounded by whispering Oak savannas. In the spring we celebrate Beltane and we allow for our May Day meadow to be used for camping the rest of the year. There is privacy from the road, it's the most tucked in part of the property. It is also the flattest part of the property. If you have a large tent or want to set up a larger hang out area with friends this is a recommended spot. It is sunnier than the faery forest, but that also means for open skies at night for star gazing. It is closer to the public fire pit area, which is only available when we are not in fire season.

Land of wild witches, cackling under the stars surrounded by whispering Oak savannas. The Faerie forest is in between the Witches hut and the Hobbit Hut... Covered under the oaks. There are less flat campsites to choose from, for the topography changes, but there are at least 2 camp spots flattened with a fresh bed of wood-chips. Cozier under the trees feeling nestled into mother natures caress.

Wow! I had the most peaceful and relaxing time on this beautiful property!!! Arrived and was promptly greeted by the wonderful host, Sierra. I was able to easily follow the hip camp signs posted and find the flat camping sites with wood chips to make it extra comfortable. The camping sites were perfect and had excellent shade coverage from the large oak trees around the property. I enjoyed walking the little trails as well. It was quiet, peaceful and the nature on the property is beautiful. Easily found the composting toilets & shower & enjoyed a hot shower before bed. Would absolutely recommend this location to a friend, as the Yuba river is only a short drive away & the proximity to grass valley and Nevada city is ideal- just far enough for peace and just close enough to enjoy the town. Bitney springs water is delicious! I filled up a 5 gallon jug on my way in, as it’s just down the road from the site. Very happy with my stay! Thank you Sierra for tending this land and opening it to us to enjoy.

We stayed 3 nights at maypole camp site. No one greeted us on our arrival or any other occasion while we were there. All I can say is that it wasn’t what we expected from our hipcamp adventure. Nothing was in order and we felt absolutely alone in what we had planned. No hot tub no hot showers no wood chips and the grass was half mowed. The other campers left early and we could see why. Not at all what was being betrayed as a great experience. So sorry I didn’t do more research before hand

Very hippy and I was born in the 60's! Nearby camping/ers <30 feet away! Loved the outdoor shower and the springs just a short drive away. Two small poison oak plants near Maypole 1 to be aware of! Someones dog came over and ate our dog food and took a brand new bone! The owner was very apologetic and offered more food however, he said it would not happen again and it did?.. It was 102 so we left early. And drove to Oregon creek 20 mins away! Amazing!

Oracle Oak Grove was perfectly comfortable. The outdoor shower and compost toilet at the Maypole campsite are very sweet. We got to know the other campers at the communal campfire pit, who were all lovely. The land was quiet and we were afforded our privacy and time in nature. Sierra was super nice and was an excellent host who went out of her way to check in on us, which we appreciated.

Sierra's site was such a tranquil getaway! The campsites include an outdoor tub, toilet, and kitchen sink. Sierra was a very hospitable camp host and was nice enough to show me around the property and give me a list of places and things to do during the day.

This was such a peaceful camping spot in Nevada City! The May Pole spot was shared with another site for campers. The bonfire area was communal and I enjoyed chatting with the other campers who were there during our stay. One tip would be to bring your own table since this site did not have a picnic table. Sierra was so kind in helping us with a jug of water from the local spring. Thank you for your responsiveness Sierra!

Sierra’s Oracle Oak Grove was such a wonderful spot to enjoy some South Yuba adventures from. Conveniently located between stellar hikes and river spots. The hot shower was much appreciated and the compost toilet was clean and well maintained. Sierra prepared a communal fire to enjoy some late-night communing with fellow HipCampers.

I loved my staying at Oracle Oak Grove. I fully recommend this wonderful place anytime but specially if you are in need of nature nourishment, the property is beautiful and well taken care of, the hot tub in the garden was my favorite as I was in need of deep relaxation, so grateful for that! In the morning I wanted to walk and Sierra told me about the creek they have at 20m walking distance, it was amazing is kind of secret spot, at this time of the year the flow of the water was quite strong so wasn’t really possible for me to go in but the host told me that in the summer it’s perfect so I’am looking forward to return in mid spring. Sierra was a lovely and caring host always ready to help, thank you so much for all! See you soon :)

Sierras property is beautiful; an incredible place to get in touch with nature, to hear the creek roar and gaze at the stars. It’s clean and well maintained, such an amazing location right next to Nevada City. Sierra is sweet and caring, and she’s set the land up so you’ll be easily self sufficient. Definitely a must see spot in the area!

I loved my visit at oracle oak Grove, it feels so deep in nature while still being a short ride to town. I loved the cozy Grove feeling and all the big trees, while at the same time feeling spacious and clear. The composting toilet is such a beautiful natural build and there are some nice shaded straight areas for car camping or tenting. Sierra was an amazing Host that helped me find everything I needed and recommended me some good restaurants in town. very sweet visit into the foothills.. im sure I will be back.

Will definitally be back again! Star gazing at night, in the hot tub, was the best way to end a day of hiking along the Yuba River! Perfect location outside if town with plenty of shady and sunny spots! Host was quick to respond and welcoming!

Oracle Grove offers some of the best tent camping in this area, the property is close to of Nevada County's finest.You really can't go wrong here, I enjoyed the shower and hanging out around the property. Sierra, the hostess is totally approachable and if you need anything she is very responsive. Overall great vibes, will be booking again👍🏼☮️✨️

Sierra's place is great! Beautiful property near Nevada City, Yuba river, and more. We brought a folding table and camp chairs since we stayed for a few days. Sierra is a great host and I would certainly stay here again.

Oracle Oak Grove is beautiful and a wonderful place to get some inspiration if you are interested in land projects! There is a really accessible bathroom and potable water which is awesome. I went with a torn ACL and knee brace so the accessibility was great! There wasn't wifi when we were there, but they said it will be running soon. The hot tub needs to be requested, but the hosts happened to be running it anyway when we were there and super generously offered us to join. They were very sweet, friendly, and helpful. Camping is in a field with beautiful trees and some dense weeds. Bring your own table/chairs/etc.
