The 78-mile stretch of US-101 from Eureka to Crescent City, CA was dubbed “The Redwood Highway” for good reason. The Ramblin’ Redwoods Campground and RV Park is located minutes from Redwood National; State Parks, Redwood National Forest, Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwood State Park,Tolowa Dunes State Park and the wild and scenic Smith River. ** TENTS SITES ARE ALL DRY CAMPING ONLY! NO WATER OR ELECTRIC IS AT THE SITE** There is one water spigot to use near the bathhouse. *****FACILITIES RENOVATION NOTICE***** Our guest laundry facility is currently closed for renovations. For your convenience, nearby laundry services are available in Crescent City. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our amenities! ***Bath house repairs on June 12 and 13, it will be completely closed to guests during this time!*** Wi-Fi is also currently not available on the property! Our stay at Ramblin Redwoods Campground was truly unforgettable! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our site was well-maintained, and the entire campground was peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. The highlight was the awe-inspiring remnants of ancient redwood stumps, now serving as nurse stumps for new trees—a unique and humbling sight. We explored the area for three days and didn’t find another camp that compared to this one’s serene beauty and distinctive charm. Ramblin Redwoods delivered an exceptional experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind nature escape!

The campground is beautiful. But I reserved there because there was flushing toilets and hot showers. We when got there we were told the toilets and showers were not working and that they put 2 portable toilets in there campground which on our second night there they ran out of tp and was never eplenished. Luckily being tent campers we always have tp but still. They never called or messaged me about this issue. I would have liked to know because I would have found something with working bathrooms and showers.

My husband and I stayed in a no hookups sight. In our roof top tent. The sight was far enough away from the sights that it wasn’t busy, it was priced pretty well, and the sight itself was beautiful and had some wonderful redwoods to admire. If you are looking for a good clean place to stay this is it. The showers are new and clean bathrooms are well maintained and the camp was perfect for what we were looking for.

Not a great spot for tent camping. (1) you likely end up at one of the closest sites to the highway (2) bright street lights might flood your site and be blinding even in your tent (3) there is a maximum security prison across the road and very close. the alarm is extremely loud, and when you hear it at 12 am, you will feel very vulnerable (you're in a tent, closest site to the road, and your site is well illuminated). Very nice people though.

The newly renovated bathroom is amazing. The site is beautiful and well kept The only drawback is to make sure you’re not assigned a site that is close to the freeway.

We had a short stop at the Rambling Redwoods but we wished we had stayed longer. Clean showers, bathrooms and RV site. Playground and activities for kids was a bonus. We will come again soon!

Was a very peaceful weekend. I was the only tent camper and had the whole area to myself. Staff was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I will definitely be camping here again this summer!

Area is right off of highway 101 so it is easy to find. Can’t hear traffic or anything. Quiet and nice. There are a ton of campsites really close to each other so it wasn’t private but it was quiet and nice and clean. the showers were down when we were visiting and they didn’t discount our stay for that even though that was one of the main reasons we reserved a spot at a campsite like this. I didn’t realize this well enough when booking, but You aren’t going to be super close to many of the well known trails for the redwoods including the ave of the giants, so if that’s why you’re staying here maybe look for something further south.

Easy access from the highway and easy check in. Plenty of room at the sites and beautiful redwood scenery. Some sites are wooded for more seclusion or privacy. We would definitely stay again!

Great Campsite in the Redwoods!

Great place to explore the redwoods from. Cute private tent site with lots of shade. Its great to see places like this and ended up being a better option than some state run campgrounds I have been too. Lots of RV / Tent sites available and all pretty well secluded in the trees. Fun playground with tether ball. Its nice to see a campground with wifi for when we were sitting around the fire. Facilities were nice and clean.

We arrived past check in hours. They had our reservation pinned on a board, they even had a map that they had drawn directions to our campsite. Super easy. Campground/fire pit was clean. Would stay here again!

The campground is nice and the sites quite large and many are private. We ere disappointed to see that the bathrooms and showers were old, worn, and not very clean.

Charging without telling you

The campsite was nice. It had everything we were looking for the one night we were staying. However, the host never answered any of the messages we send him. We changed our date to be there sooner and it said the fee was $0.00 (as it should have been) but we were charged an extra $45.00 which brought our total to $91.80 for camping ONE night. Keep in mind this was a no hook up campsite. We wont be staying there again. I have been emailing trying to get our $45.00 back and even that has been a nightmare.

We really like this campground and our stay. The place was well setup with good privacy from other camp spots. A nice fire ring and picnic table and showers and bathrooms weren’t too far away. We’d definitely stay here again.

The fee was too much for what we got. Could not pick site. They put us next to bathroom. The bathrooms had no toilet paper and where dirty.

Very nice spot. Showers were clean. Arrived late but the office had my name on a paper posted outside for my arrival. Stopped for the night on a road trip. Quiet and peaceful.
