We loved this little spot!
It was tucked far enough back in the woods that it felt private, but close enough to the common area that we were able to make use of the sinks and just a short walk to the bathroom/shower.
As a bonus, the owners allowed us to visit their animals and at night, the fireflies light up the forest around you, its absolutely beautiful.

I had the absolute amazing time camping at the Fern! This was everything and more than I thought it would be. My campsite felt private, spacious, and refreshing. I loved having the outdoor shower, and felt most refreshed and relaxed after my camping adventure. The host greeted me and was super helpful. I got to meet the new goats and milk cow! What a fun place to just kick back and relax. I felt safe and enjoyed everything. I am a happy camper.

Rustic and woodsy - then the most comfortable yurt to dive into! Greeted by birds and nature on awaking, with no desire to rise from the cushy bed. Enjoy rustic AND comfortable in a great spot.

Took my girlfriend and dog camping and it was great! There were grills, a rake we used to move some pine needles, a sink we used to wash our utensils and hanmocks in the communal area. There little touches everywhere, like a tiny herb garden, solar fairy lights on the path and even remote lighting for the loo. It was very well maintained and we were happy to spend our cooking over a campfire out in the country.

My boyfriend and I came here for a night in the winter and it was super quiet and comfortable. It felt very private and cooking over the campfire was a blast. We were visited by one of their cats which was lovely :)

Words cannot describe how peaceful it is there. I had a wonderful time. There is a long dining table, great cooking area and a giant fire pit. I want to come back because I didn’t get to try out the outdoor shower. Highly highly recommend!

I loved my experience at The Fern! Alissa and Seth made our anniversary so special by providing us with a bottle of champagne and allowing us to stay at their getaway! We loved all the intricate details that made The Fern so magical! By the end of our stay, we didn’t want to leave!!! 10/10 recommend this place!

Went tent camping with my wife and dog for the weekend. The Fern was a nice secluded getaway with all the amenities we could ask for. Shower and outhouse were very clean. It would be a great place for a small group of people.

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our dog and absolutely loved it! We originally only planned for one night, which was entirely last minute, but Alissa went out of her way to accommodate us. We actually loved staying here so much that we decided to change our plans and camp another night! Outdoor shower is amazing and the outhouse is very, very clean. We just did tent camping, but the other glamping sites looked super cute! There’s also a massive common area with a super long, wooden table and a bunch of hammocks, along with a sink with running water. There were also a bunch of other things we didn’t use, like plates and a grill, but it would definitely come in handy if we didn’t have our own equipment with us. We slept very well both nights - highly recommend staying here!!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Fern. This is a great spot for people who want to have a camping experience without the commitment of buying/renting gear. The tent came furnished with pretty much everything I could think of, from multiple lanterns and fans to a little charging tower. Having the outhouse and shower was a huge plus, and even though I didn't end up cooking, there was more than enough equipment provided to do so. On top of all the amenities, the hosts make their intentions for the space clear: this is a sacred place, and we invite you to contribute to its sacredness. I love that ethos. I will say, my next trip would probably be scheduled sometime when it's cooler so I could really take advantage of the cushy bed linens!

Book with Alissa as soon as you can! The land was so peaceful and beautiful. You can tell there was so much thought and love that was put into creating this space and you feel it! Every little detail was carefully considered, even the outhouse!!! The outside shower was next level amazing. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, and the decor was so inviting! (My friend who I brought, actually looked up the sofa/bed and bought the same one!) I loved cooking over the open fire with the wood and pans that they so amazingly provide for us! (And for those better with a cook top, grill or burner, those are provided too!) For the morning they have THE BEST local coffee for you to enjoy!! The directions to the location were easy to follow and Alissa and her husband were right there to greet us when we got in. For the colder months there is a fireplace in the tent as well as plenty of extra blankets. We experienced a rainy weekend, but they had plenty of books, games and cards to keep us busy. I cannot wait to go back again with more people and eat at the beautiful family style table they have. Make sure to check out her beautiful jewelry too, I couldn’t resist but to buy a couple pieces! We brought our fur babies, and they even provided some doggie bowls and tennis balls for them to play fetch! Before you leave, grab a piece of fabric and bless a tree. You’ll feel the love, tenfold! For those looking for the outdoor experience while still having glamour and comfort, book now!

Growing up I read Narnia and always wanted that kind of magical experience never expecting to get it. The Fern gave me that magical moment. From the first step into the forest, the wonderful smells, the calming atmosphere, being surrounded by so much nature, we couldn't have asked anything better. My husband and I spent 2 nights here but wanted to stay so much longer. Everything we needed was supplied, the whole place was clean and thats saying something considering it's a forest. Seth was amazing and even saved us (me) from a massive Palmetto bug that got into the yurt. The bed and pillows were beyond comfortable, the kitchenette had everything and there were even some games and books to enjoy, which we did. Oh and the shower, exceeded every expectation. Something about showering in nature with towering trees over your head. If you're looking for a magic get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life, we cannot recommend this place enough!! Looking forward to coming back.

I loved the rural isolation in the woods, while enjoying yurt life. My hosts thought of everything to make me comfortable including a s’mores setup, yoga mat, coffee and twinkle lights. The yurt was clean and comfy and Alissa was very responsive. Thanks!

Alissa was an incredible host, and made our stay so enjoyable! If you could think of it, she had it all latex out - every comfort considered and beautifully arranged in such a way that made our stay feel like home away from home. Great communication, and easygoing demeanor practically guarantees return visitors. Highly, highly recommend!
