This place is really beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. Lots of nature to enjoy right along side a pristine river.

A wonderful weekend retreat with my fiancé and our dog was exceptional, with everything ready upon arrival, and the views were absolutely stunning. The weather was delightful, with mid-70s temperatures and a short afternoon rain shower. The tranquil ambiance was enhanced by the evening sounds of owls and the coziness of a roaring fire. We wholeheartedly recommend and will definitely return.

My wife and I spent 2 nights on Scott's land in our 18 foot camper and enjoyed it immensely. Enjoyed waking up to the bird calls from the marshes nearby and the lowing of cattle nearby. The only downside was that the concrete pad for the camper, even though designed for 3 campers side-by-side, if another had showed up it would have been quite tight. As it was, Scott had his 5th wheel parked on one side of the pad and we were able to easily park on the river side of the pad. Although Scott assured me that another camper was highly unlikely and, indeed, none showed up, it would have been a tight fit to get a 3rd unit on the pad. But, all-in-all, a pleasant 2 night stay.

I really enjoyed tent camping here, Scott and Christina were really welcoming hosts and there were really amazing views! Very nice location with convenient access to water (and cell service, if you care about that!) Had a great time and would definitely come back again!

Primitive Camping at Thompson Farm
My girlfriend and I love camping at the Thompson farm fun beautiful views right next to the river and we got see all the animals and pet the goats. It was so peaceful and just what we needed! Highly recommend and will be returning in the future thank you so much Scott and family.

Tenting here was so easy and relaxing, Scott and Christine were wonderful hosts with beautiful land! They have everything you could need like water and a place to use the bathroom and super cute animals :)

Quiet way away from the highway.
Not a bunch of rules , relaxing. They raise Unique animals. Nice to look at and take pictures. Only draw back was, a warning about snakes. Didn't see any.

Absolutely Beautiful Riverside Sites& Scott was nice enough to let us extend our stay🙏😊 and Is a very pleasant gentleman. A Peaceful Place To Camp & The farm animals are enjoyable to see grazing & playing as we walk around or are coming and going. We came for unfortunate reasons sadly but absolutely worked out&we will come back again in the future to do Again. Amazing Spot. Thank You Scott 😊

Scott is a very kind, accommodating host with a site that offers so much to explore! From the animals to the beautiful landscape you will get an incredible experience for an amazing price. Great for kids or couples. Easy access to water and portable bathroom available.

Found Scott's place when browsing ideas for a fun family weekend. Scott was an amazing host. We left straight from work to drive down and he had no problems with us checking in late. He gave my son a tour of the animals and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave a perfect balance of letting us know he was near by and available if we needed. But also gave space as to not make it feel like we are constantly being watched.
The property is absolutely amazing. It is located close enough to myrtle beach that it's a short drive to the excitement, but far enough that you can feel secure from the craziness. Tons of local places to eat for cheap if not wanting to have to worry about cooking camp food.
It will absolutely be my first choice anytime I'm In the area visiting.

Enjoyed another weekend at Brickyard Place. Just hung around Friday night, kayaked all day Saturday and bugged out Sunday before the rain. Scott was welcoming as usual.

The farm location, animals and scenery are very beautiful & serene to be sure. Unfortunately I didn't get much information on bathroom location since it's a big site. Also did not get any response to 2 messages sent to owner until I eventually called a contact number so a it was bit disappointing and overall luke warm vibes.

I was greeted by two farmers who were wondering what I was doing on their property I had to explain that I was there to check in for my camping trip. They made a call to the property owner and finally found that out I was supposed to be there, I was glad I didn’t get shot. After the phone call they told me to put my tent in a particular spot on the property which I did. The owner then came home and told me to move my tent to a spot that was in his front yard where I could hear him verbally abusing his wife. There are no showers even though it said they do have them on the app. Besides that everything was good about the place farm animals, secluded place, not far from Myrtle Beach.

The property is very serene and the livestock are great . We just stayed one night with no plans because we are local and felt like having a campfire. The adjacent nursery had Halloween events happening and a drive in movie
also up that evening. The host Scott was available but not intrusive. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again

We went rent camping and it was fall tractor day we went and did activities it was so much fun . We got to pet the sheep, goats, and go for a tractor ride to feed the cows. They always go above and beyond for the community events and are always available if you need Scott or Christina thanks y’all .

Spent 2 nights with 3 friends at Thomson Farms Hip Camp. We had plenty of room for our 4 tents and the kayak trailer. There were a few RV's there but it was still a very peaceful place. The Host, Scott was very friendly and accommodating.
The location is great for our kayak trips on the Waccamaw River and we plan to come back in the future.

We parked our 36 foot A class at Scott's for 2 nights, then drove our truck into Myrtle Beach to visit friends. The property has good access even for the height of our coach. When we arrived it was pouring rain and Scott's security cameras alerted Scott that we had arrived. He was kind enough to call me so we didn't have to walk up to the house and advised us where we could park. There was a couple camping there at the time, and another there when we returned. Was confident that the coach was safe since we were gone for 2 days. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved camping here this weekend for our 20th anniversary. My husband and I got in late Friday night, which I was a bit worried about because of his work schedule, but they were so accommodating and made us feel very welcomed. We had a beautiful peaceful secluded area near the canal with our own little campfire and nearby parking space. We usually can't afford to take a vacation (with 2 kids and a new mortgage it's been hard) so we truly we can not thank the Thompson Farm enough for making this possible for us. It will forever be a great memory and we highly recommend staying here if your looking for an affordable getaway. We will definitely visit again, only next time with the kiddos. ❤️
Oh also if your headed to Myrtle Beach it is a bit farther than 30 minutes, but that all truly depends on where exactly your headed

I loved the scenery, the trees, water and the animals. It was so quiet and no one bugged me. You can hear all the sounds of nature. I like that it was so private. I felt safe and had a relaxing couple of days. The directions to get there are spot on.

We had a great time camping on Scott’s land right on a branch of the river which is on the back of the property. Upfront is their farm and animals. Very private and quite about 35 minutes away from Myrtle beach. It’s a very nice place to camp
