Weekend Trip to Camp Moondog

We had an amazing time at this camp! The place is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and just a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Everything was well set up and just felt really nice to be there. The host was fantastic — super friendly, a great communicator, and made sure everything went smoothly. Honestly, everything about this experience was just perfect. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Camp Moondog

We really enjoyed this spot! We arrived late and it was nice that there were solar powered string lights there to assist us with setting up our camp. From looking at the turtles to fishing and swimming- we had an amazing time. The site itself was on a hill/ cliff so we hd a great view of the river and were able to keep our mermaid dog from disappearing into the river unattended. There is also a little swimming hole right below the site that you can acess with a steep little climb down. This site is very sandy just FYI so do prepare to plan for that during your trip. There was also plenty of privacy. We would definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to Moon Glow Haven

We had a blast at Moon Glow Haven this past weekend. The tent spot where we set up camp was well lit at night and was close enough to the river to hear the sounds of nature at night. The facilities were clean and lights lit the way from our tent site to the bathrooms and hand washing station. The walking trail was free of debris and we loved the fire pit in the open field above our campsite. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway in nature.

21 nights at Dennis & Melissa's Hidden Creek

Our 2nd stay at Hidden Creek was just as beautiful as the first. The peaceful space, the pictures don’t do it justice. Melissa & Dennis are top notch hosts who care about their guests and even provide a small plot of Rosemary and Basil for those who love to cook! Excellent touch. Easy to find, great amenities for those who need. Just bring your camping gear and you’ll have fun!

Weekend Trip to Camp Moondog

Fern Gully was the PERFECT primitive site for my husband's and my getaway. The host was very protective of our privacy, the river running right in front of the campsite was so lovely, and the string lights added a beautiful ambiance! Not very far from the site was Greenville and a ton of places to eat, and about an hour from the site was a hike to the tallest waterfall in SC which has a suspension bridge that goes right over it. Overall, 10/10 experience, we recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from life for a bit!

Easy in and out. Was quiet and a pretty morning. Got in late after coming earlier in day to secure a site near the water. Not a place with immense creature comforts, but affordable and easy to work with. Also 30 min from beach… 25 from downtown.

4 nights at Black Pearl Farms

It was such an oasis It rained on us and it brought out the skeeters, but overall it was such a lovely place to camp! The owners were amazing and hospital. I wish we could have stayed longer! 11/10 Oh! If you go, be sure to take advantage of their blueberry and blackberry farm!

2 nights at Scotland Pond

I loved it! My dogs had a blast playing around the pond and in the woods. Between the frogs and all the birds there was constant music. The pond was full of fish jumping and turtles sunbathing. Natures medley was so relaxing! I did not want to leave and plan to enjoy Scotland pond again.

Great spot, I honestly felt like the pictures didn't do it justice. Very quiet and well situated. Location is good, near a nice farm stand with all kinds of year round goodies and treats. We got rained out but the host was very understanding and even offered to refund our rained out night. Would stay again.

This was a great site with lots of shade coverage from the trees and the river running next to it made for a wonderful camping spot. The site is very flat with lots of options for tent set up. Although close to civilization, this spot was quiet and peaceful.

Great, secluded spot. Good clean outhouse. It is primitive, so no running water, which is definitely not a problem ifyou come prepared. The road to the sites is fine, but you will be better suited in an SUV than a sedan/coup. We went while it was raining, and I don't think I would have made it in my Honda. Luckily, we didn't have it!!! Anyway, beautiful spot. The birds are awesome in the morning. Good communication from the host.

The property was very well maintained with beautiful craftsmanship on the custom built bathroom and shower facilities. Nice and quiet at night without any kind of noise other than the soothing sound of owls and other nightlife and rustling leaves in the wind.

Pick wild blackberries in early summer and wild grapes in late summer early fall, and we may share some of our home made jellies with you. We welcome family groups year round. Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Rosewood Farm and Agripark is my home. I honestly had about the most amazing childhood one could have on this very land! We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark! For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway.
