This is a very natural place with awesome rock formations, abundant wildlife etc. I did find an ancient axe head years ago in one of the crevices. Up above camp is a rock formation I have always called "Mike Rushmore". Learn more about this land: This is a really cool place and I get a lot of compliments from those that have been here or have seen it. It's a hikers paradise with lots of rock features, sandy areas, tons of trees, wildlife and all the beautiful plant life of a high desert. The lake is close by for Fishing, kayaking, boating, or just a good ole swim about 10 minutes away. So, here is what you get on my 15 acres. Me, as your host to show you around and let you pick from several spots available where you would like to camp on the upper 5 acres for RV, truck, tent,, etc. I can accomidate whatever. For those that want the natural experience I suggest down below. So cool. There is no one right next to me to the north, south, east, or west. Very private. It is off grid.. However, potable water and generator can be available if needed for and extra fee. This place is absolutely amazing. Your host: Mike It's my place so I can do what I want. Mike was so kind and helpful we had a great time on his land! It was beautiful! It was a bit windy but Mike helped us out when we needed it! Totally worth a visit!

Mike's Place on the Boulder.
We had a great stay at Mike’s Hipcamp! The site was as advertised—set in a unique and beautiful high desert landscape, offering incredible views and privacy. It’s a fantastic spot to disconnect and enjoy nature, especially at night when the stargazing is best. Mike was friendly and super helpful. He gave us great site recommendations based on our setup. Just a heads-up: you’ll need 4-wheel drive to access the more secluded spots on the backside of the property, which are totally worth it for the added privacy. If you don’t have 4WD, the upper area near the rock is still beautiful and accessible. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something off the beaten path with big skies, quiet nights, and a warm, knowledgeable host. We’ll definitely be back!

Mike's Place on the Boulder.
The place was beautiful, and Mike was a great guy! He let us pick any place we wanted. The drive from the main road was a little rough so it took a while to get to, so we stayed put till checkout, but the place was worth it.

Mike's Place on the Boulder.
Spectacular view. Had dinner out on the edge of “The Boulder” watching the sunset. In the morning I walked down the new access road and around Mike’s property while sipping coffee and enjoyed more views. I believe there are patches of crypto biotic soil, if you go, take care not to walk on this delicate soil.

Mike is amazing. So welcome and generous. He has a lot of stories to tell about his land and his life! He accommodated me perfectly and shared his land well! I had a great experience!
