I really enjoyed my time here! The cabin was so cozy, the sound of the creek was nice, and walks around the neighborhood are very pretty. Laura is a very responsive and great host, would highly recommend! Keep in mind that it is in a residential area so there is the sound of cars driving by:-)

My dog & I loved walking around the gorgeous property- so green, lovely flowers, & koi fish! Lexi was absolutely wonderful, everyone on site was so helpful and nice. The fellows campers were very friendly. I used the RV site with an electrical hook up- it was a nice spot, convenient plug in, Lexi sent specific directions to the location. And GREAT price!!! They have a full kitchen, lounge area, & washing machines available. I stayed for an event 30 minutes away and told everyone there about this place. Definitely check it out!!

Great stay at the Flat Rock camp location! The creek down below was making relaxing creek sounds all night. I slept like a rock. I was here solo, looking for a night away from the city. This is the perfect place for some quiet stargazing. Carlotta is an amazingly informative and welcoming host. I recommend bringing a high clearance vehicle coming here because that's what the road calls for. I borrowed my fiance's lifted F150. He just showed me how to drive it the day before and I made it down the switchbacks to the camp location. The 1.5mi drive down was an adventure on its own; for me at least. The truck made the journey down an easy breeze. I couldn't recommend this location more. As a San Diego local, this place will definitely become a regular spot for me. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Lake

Spent two nights at the spot. Very serene campsite with plenty of shade and direct access to water. Kayaks are available for use and there is plenty of fish in the water if you want to do some fishing. Dante was very welcoming. Would come back.

Weekend Trip to King Creek Campground

We loved our camping trip! Went with a group of friends and stayed over Memorial Weekend at Lake Campsite. Had plenty of space for tents, parking, and activities— including lots of shady areas. Bathroom was a pit toilet, well kept and clean. Water was provided in a 5-gal jug (could go up to house to get more) so recommend bringing some extra. Wifi only at the main house, we had 0 service at the site. There was water in the Creek, definitely not enough to swim and we weren’t able to find an area to hangout down by the Creek. Beautiful areas to hike, hosts were super nice and helpful. Would also add that a heavy SUV struggles to get up the driveway, so be mindful of that with car choices. 10/10 would stay again!

Saddle Up Ranch is a lovely, tranquil place to camp and a horse lovers paradise. My family were amazed with the beauty of these rescued horses that all seemed so sweet and friendly. We are looking forward to come back for a trail ride. The goats are super cute.

Weekend Trip to Loomerland

We loved the sweetest dogs we ever met and all the farm animals! The baby bunnies and goats were a special treat for our kids. The dogs did bark a lot through the night and you gotta be ok with the roosters and birds all waking in the early morning, but there is something pretty cool about living with all the animals that makes that part worth it. There are also many sites with lots of shade!!! That is a big bonus. Watch out for red ants and poison oak. Sean gave us a new campsite so just check to see if they can look over your campsite for these things before you arrive.

We had a great time here for memorial weekend. We feared that there were too many mosquitos but it was cool and early in the season so there were some, but we were prepared with spray and long sleeves. It wasn’t a deal breaker. Aside from that, Vicki is awesome and her land is beautiful to explore. We bonded with her dog Solo and her pig Yolo. They’re so freakin cute! Will come back but prob not in the summer!

On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). A secluded glamping site that contains everything you need, including a private (seasonal pond). Our family has owned this property for nearly fifty years. We currently have one site available - “Desert Mountain Scenic Overlook” - at this time. More sites coming soon! Learn more about this site: This campsite is extremely private and serene with beautiful epic views and a wide open feel. The site is located most of the way up a small mountain but at the base of a larger one if you want to hike up to the top for even better views. You can also hike down and around to explore more of the surrounding nature preserve (over 3,000 acres completely engulfing our 20 acre property), which includes a seasonal creek, granite boulders, and miles of hiking trails. You will find wild sage and buckwheat shrubs growing all over the property, as well as vibrant seasonal wildflowers. The campsite is set far back from roads so it is very peaceful and quiet and allows you to feel free to enjoy yourselves without worrying much about noise. The large flat pad is spacious and should be able to accommodate any sized camper/trailer/RV. There is fresh potable mountain spring water and a septic hookup available at the site. There is currently no water hookup for RV’s and there is no restroom facility (we are planning to install a composting or pit toilet soon). Please come fully equipped with a Luggable Loo or something similar. Access to the site is on a maintained dirt road with cutouts for water run off. 4WD is not necessary. Please be prepared though, the road in has some narrow, hilly, curvy stretches. It could appear challenging or intimidating to people with larger rigs. If you have a class A motorhome and are hoping to visit, please message me first and let me know and we can discuss whether the road in will work for you. We are currently in the process of beautifying the area and will post more updated photos soon of the actual site. *Note: Our solar pump went out so the outdoor shower is not currently functional. Also, the site is still a work in progress so there may be some lumber and areas of the site still in the process of being completed.

Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. It's a very short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with several types of playground equipment and public creek access, or a five minute drive to a Crestridge Ecological Reserve containing multiple trails. We have three campsites and a cabin on about an acre of land. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. There are also a couple of hammocks available. In addition, our SHARED amenities include an outdoor kitchen that includes a sink with hot water, 2 mini fridges,(full at times, extra coolers available) coffee maker, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven, blender, tea kettle, and a few pans, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also here to SHARE is a Propane fire pit and BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers.
