Fran has a wonderful gorgeous spot, Stella her lab is a wonderful hostess also. I am a female solo camper and Fran was so nice to block off the other camp site so I’d feel alone and secure and have some time to myself. I spent a few days on her dock watching dolphins and fish jump. So much beautiful nature in abundance. The stars on the lake are magical and I found more mushrooms than I had seen in so long. Very beautiful place I would definitely recommend and plan to totally come back.

It was such an oasis It rained on us and it brought out the skeeters, but overall it was such a lovely place to camp! The owners were amazing and hospital. I wish we could have stayed longer! 11/10 Oh! If you go, be sure to take advantage of their blueberry and blackberry farm!

I enjoyed site one next to The distillery in the heart of the farm. The Bistro was good and I got some steaks from "Bruce" at the farm store. By the time we left we had met everybody who worked there and they were all very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the area with all the things to do, including the Chattooga River and multiple waterfalls.

I had the most beautiful first camping experience thanks to Kurt. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us with such warmth and genuine care, it truly felt like visiting an old friend. He’s someone who genuinely cares, and that’s rare to find these days. His wealth of knowledge is inspiring, and his deep love for off-the-grid living shines through in everything he does. Even more special is how openly and generously he shares that passion with others. To top it all off, after we returned home and realized we had left our laptop bag at a local coffee shop, Kurt didn’t hesitate to pick it up and ship it back to us without a second thought. That level of kindness is special. We’re so grateful for the experience and can’t recommend Kurt’s hospitality enough. Truly unforgettable!

What stood out the most was Curt’s hospitality. He was so welcoming and friendly. He definitely went the extra mile to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The bath house was such a unique experience and extremely clean. And our dog was welcomed as well which is such a great feeling. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area again. Other than Curt being a tad behind on the mowing 😂 10/10

Weekend Trip to Field Trip Glamping Travelers Rest

While we didn’t get to stay in the dome due to a booking challenge, the host placed us in a super cute A-frame. The grounds were clean and inviting. The over the fire pit rack was perfect for some wood grilled burgers!! The hot tub/sauna/cold plunge was spectacular. There was always a wave to be had by the staff as they drove by. Future glamours should know that the in unit “coffee maker” is a French press, which in a unit with electricity, was a little disappointing, since the trek to get boiling water was at a coffee vending station. Otherwise, it served the purpose well for a beautiful outdoor getaway.

Weekend Trip to Edisto River Luxury RV Resort

We had an absolute blast, and Dustin pays attention to every detail. The Stone fire pit was fantastic, the screened in gazebo with TV and couch was also quite comfortable, especially in the rain. The bathroom was spotless and the outdoor shower was rustic and fun.

Weekend Trip to Great Dane Lane

Great spot! Easy to find, clean, friendly host and the duck and coi pond and kept our toddler busy all evening!! Our toddler is still wiggling her butt like the duck 😂. We’ll def be stopping again!

Our site was very nice gravel, level and easy to access. We had electric, water and Wi-Fi (didn’t use). I was camping after all !!!! Liz responded quickly to any questions and offered some helpful local information. She has acres and told us we could walk our dog anywhere. She is in a great location. It was a short easy drive to Beaufort as well as the various sea islands. The area is beautiful with tons of history. We are already talking about our return trip. Thank you so much, Liz!

3 nights at Lowcountry Live Oaks.

It was an absolutely excellent experience and a wonderful weekend getaway. You’re about 2 miles from downtown and walk around tourism and 12 to 14 miles from toes in the sand on the beach. Best all around, quiet, isolated, and convenient. One house and a heavy tree line separate you from 98% of any possible road noise. There is 50 and 30 amp plus 110 hook ups on the pole along with water, sewer, and Wi-Fi on the site. The tree cover was very good without completely blocking any sunshine. We experienced 92° and our single air conditioner had no problems keeping up with a 30 foot camper.

Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. Lounge on the spacious deck overlooking all the farm animals or take a dip in the swimming pool. At night grill on the BBQ or have an oyster roast. We are also close to Parris Island and many other historical sites. While here you can enjoy historical tours of Beaufort County’s earliest years of the Santa Helena colony in the mid 1600’s, the revolutionary war period, the pre-civil war and plantation time period and the antebellum, reconstruction history up to the Civil Rights visits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Historic Penn Center. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Other recreational activities in our area are geocaching, horseback riding, tennis, golf, hiking, beach volleyball, beachcombing, and birdwatching. There are a few special events throughout the year, Gullah Festival-May, Water Festival-July, Shrimp Festival-October, Beaufort Food Truck Festival-October, Soft Shell Crab Festival-April, Pat Conroy Festival-November, Heritage Days Festival-November, Night on the Town-December. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on 138 acres with a small seasonal retail store. You be the judge. About 4 years ago we left our South Florida handcrafting furniture business to pursue this new goal. We set out to build an inspiring experience in simple, eco-friendly living that would find a harmony between some of the old fashioned world that we'd found ourselves missing, and the handful of modern advancements that were actually beneficial. All while keeping it classy. At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cabins, installing solar, composting, planting, and building toilets that are better for our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We realize everyone has a right to be themselves, but our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm.
