Weekend Trip to The Wandering Path

It is really beautiful there and very peaceful! Water was amazing to swim in and we were able to bring our dog and had a wonderful time.

4 nights at Cotee River Bend

We had the most wonderful stay at this private property campsite! We felt completely at home. The campsite itself is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offers plenty of space and privacy. The bathrooms and showers were very clean seriously some of the cleanest we’ve ever encountered while camping! It’s such a relief to have access to fresh, well-kept facilities after a long day out exploring. The location is also a major highlight. It’s tucked away just enough to feel like a relaxing escape, but still super convenient—close to shops, restaurants, and anything you might need. And best of all, it’s not far from the beaches! We were able to enjoy quiet mornings at camp and then head out for afternoon swims and sunsets by the coast. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a total winner. We’ll definitely be back!

The campground was great! It’s so quiet and off the beaten path that you feel like you are out on a backpacking trip, rather than just a short walk from your vehicle and bathrooms! The bath house was clean and the outdoor kitchen was so pretty! Would totally stay here again! Also met Bella the camp pup in the morning when we were eating breakfast at the outdoor kitchen. She was a total sweetheart.

We have used several Hipcamp and this was the best ever. Willam was a great host as well as his co host Andrew. Andrew was very friendly and helped with anything we needed on site. The place is beautiful and clean. Washer and dryer on site was a plus and his shower restroom is very nice and clean. I highly recommend William’s Inside out Inn.

Weekend Trip to Bowman's Landing

We had a great time at Bowman's Landing. The little cabins are very clean and the AC worked great. Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were clean. They had bicycles we could borrow to use around the property. The whole area is well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back!

2 nights at Bowman's Landing

My 2nd stay at Bowman's, but first time with my 11 year old. It was amazing trip. Manatees swimming by the dock, the chickens grazing each morning, and the deer family at sunrise and sunset. I love this place even more than I did the first time I left.

Weekend Trip to The Wandering Path

We absolutely loved camping at site #8. The site was private and remote but not difficult to hike to. Highly recommend bringing a cart to haul everything to your site. We can't wait to go again.

1 night at Bowman's Landing

Bowman's Land was incredible, the drive in the woods was amazing, it was really nice set up, upon finding our Campsite #2, was great right next the river, my kids loved finding all the bugs. The area for the tent was perfect, there was a picnic table, and firepit. We had an amazing time! Also, the kids loved the dock with the water mat. Paddleboarding down the Santa Fe was just breath taking, fish kept jumping out of the water. It was just such a great campsite experience.

Weekend Trip to J and P Creekside Retreat

Phenomenal spot!! 10/10 would recommend. Especially creekside A campsite. We basically had the whole back area to ourselves. Very secluded, very quiet. The bathroom was super clean and had AC if you want to sneak in for a quick break from the heat. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. We rented the two man Kayak and went up the river a couple miles. Fish were jumping out the water is was so full of fish. John was an excellent Host and I even offered us to stay a little longer after check out since he didn’t have anyone else coming in after us. We paid for 4 bundles of wood and John’s son damn cut us down a whole tree!!! lol awesome:) we had a blast, definitely lots of mosquitoes for about an hour after the sun goes down being by the river and all but after that clear sky’s and good times. Definitely would recommend any family especially with kids to stay at this campsite. They even had a little trees house for the kiddos to chill in. Very cool. Good WiFi service too. This Memorial Day will be remembered forever. Thanks John!!!

Our weekend stay was fantastic. Even though it was a holiday and parts of the river were crowded, it was always peaceful at this location. The bank was easy to use to launch our kayaks and just a short paddle up to the Ichetucknee River. We look forward to staying here again.

Weekend Trip to Bell Oaks Ranch 5 min from Beach

Taylor’s land was a clean but still natural camping experience. The horses are well kept and cute. We had to change our RV size (our 21’ RV for our 40’ Motor coach) and was no problem at all they were able to accommodate us in a bigger size spot. The area was quiet of outside noises but you can hear the animals at night, even a little owl visit us while we were cooking outside. My dogs and us felt safe and relaxed. Took us around 5 minutes to get to the beach, no traffic, no crowds. I highly recommend you to visit them and stay the night.

David is amazing and so hospitable! His friend took us out on his pontoon boat, and went to his house to bring us pans to help us cook. The campsite has such beautiful views of the lake and a dock to fish anytime you want. If you have a kayak or some way to explore the lake definitely book this spot, even if you don’t you can rent from david for $10!! Worth every cent.

Weekend Trip to Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

Incredible time out here, we stayed in Dreamcatcher and hope to be back as soon as possible. Hosts were very personable and kind, each camper had its own fire ring and A/C unit. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Free eggs for the gathering, just make sure they have been candled! Friendly farm cat and free range chickens. The hosts even provided bug spray!

Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge will be ready by Fall 2022. Whereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.
